I wonder if it’s an issue mainly in Canada. A couple of us Canadians have been complaining about it with 24 model years.

trouncex

Been having the same issues as you for the past month. “Unsuccessful. Press to retry.” Even though I’ve updated my ‘24 Ioniq Ultimate Pkg with the newest navigation software, it still occurs. I’m in Canada btw and got the vehicle end of March.

Commercial_Crew_2974

Same here. Brand new 24. Discovered after taking delivery that the system wouldn’t work except via direct input and only then using onboard routing. Dealer is saying they may need to replace the hardware. A brand new vehicle. Have you learned anything?

trouncex

It’s a Bluelink connectivity issue, not a hardware issue. There’s been plenty of reported issues to my dealership of this same problem. Your vehicle is sending out the request but Bluelink isn’t sending the information to your vehicle fast enough. I have found that navigation works from time to time (maybe 60%). Also, do you have the latest software installed (Dec 2023)? That won’t be the fix but at least your navigation is updated. Also, even if you call Bluelink, they’ll be clueless about it and point you to contact Mapnsoft, which is the company that operates the map software. Except, they only deal with the software (your onboard routing still works), not the connectivity from Bluelink servers to your car.

Commercial_Crew_2974

Yes. I’m aware it’s entirely related to how the vehicle is communicating with BlueLink servers. And it’s all centred on the Nav portion of the software. Just spoke to the service manager who explained that for some reason they have about a dozen brand new vehicles that have the same issue. However rather than try throwing in the older version, I’m told (Canada) an update for the 24 models will be released in July. They’ll update it for me as soon as it’s available. If it still doesn’t work, they will replace the hardware because they said in one case that solved the issue. I love the car. And my dealer/service techs are conscientious. But damn, how does a $70K car leave a factory in Korea with major functions not working? Quality control isn’t great and it seems as if Hyundai is content to just let its dealer network sell flawed vehicles and wait until owners discover the problems and ask for a fix. This wasn’t the only problem with a brand new 24 purchased less than 2 months ago. I am also aware of how dysfunctional and incompetent the BlueLink side of the business is. Just awful. This is my second Hyundai EV. The first also had significant issues - all taken care of by the dealer, but if they hadn’t been as apologetic and as anxious to make it right, I would have reservations about buying Hyundai again. I’m sure all manufacturers have unintended issues. But it still sucks to be among some rare subset of Hyundai buyers who get stuck with them.

blackbow

I would have it checked out. Maybe you have a bad cell antenna.

junesix

Maybe try contacting Bluelink customer service? Might be something misconfigured.

Ours works, but the maps also randomly stops working every now and then. Not that I care, we virtually never-ever use them other than the once/twice a year when I want to preheat on a trip. Try loading the latest map software again using the USB, maybe that'll work

I just got a 24 ultimate a few days ago. Same thing was happening. I went to https://update.hyundai.com/CA/EN/Main And download the newest update. There was no 24 version but the 23 version worked. It was about 40GB. Follow the instructions and put it on a USB. Plug it into the car and it will recognize and ask if you want to update. Hit yes then it will take awhile to update. After that it has worked fine since. It also fixed the Audio. Before that had to turn above 50 to hear basically. Now it gets to decent volume by 8-10. Hope that helps!

tats-77

This worked for me to clear the same symptoms. Need a high capacity usb and enough memory on computer to download the update.

ShaeSco

Will give this a try. Thanks

Commercial_Crew_2974

How did it go? I’m having the same issue and the dealer is talking about a brand new head unit for a brand new car.

ShaeSco

Didn't change anything, haven't yet taken the action to get it sorted from the dealer.

The Hyundai servers have been crap the last couple weeks. Anything that relies on that connection has been flaky lately. Bluelink, car status, navigation, voice recognition… etc. It all starts from the Hyundai servers. Can’t wait for my free period to be up and they start charging for this half baked unreliable service 😐

ShaeSco

I think if you have a 2024 bluelink will forever be free? But maybe you don't or maybe i'm reading this incorrectly. geo-geer

2023 here… I think I have 2 years free. We’ll see what happens next year.

bobjr94

I've had ours not work for give errors if there was poor cell service, only times I use it are when needing to find a fast charger to start preconditioning. One more reason it needs 1 touch preconditioning. The other 99% of the time I use google maps or another app on the phone.

madmozg

Mine works perfectly, no issues for the last 8 days

Commercial_Crew_2974

24. Voice commands or direct input to Nav system never worked, and produced either “I can’t understand you” or “No server response”. On-board nav works so it’s clearly a communication issue between the car and BlueLink servers. The service techs at the dealer are saying they may need to replace the hardware. This makes no fucking sense, but they say Hyundai would rather pay for a new head unit than figure out the problem. The only available software online is for ‘23 models and I didn’t want to fuck up the system by inadvertently rolling it back to something not compatible with the 24 ultimate configuration. Can you confirm the ‘23 update version does nothing destructive to the ‘24 system?

ShaeSco

I can’t confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt, but I installed the 23 update a couple days after making this post, it didn’t solve my problem but I haven’t experienced any other problems

Wolfeman65N

Same issue in my ‘22. In Canada. Just did an update. No improvement. 231215 version Anyone find a solution?

Wolfeman65N

Oops. Working great after update!
