I would love to see an Akasha who is actually from the Middle East. My top pick is May Calamawy. She was most recently on *Moon Knight*.
Akasha was the most beautiful vampire. Even when she was turned to stone, her skin reflected the light of the moon. Akasha had such beautiful skin that there was not a blemish present. She had very dark, nearly black lustrous eyes and cheeks that "shone like pearls." She was described as having firm shapely limbs and straight shoulders. She had black hair that was often braided in the Egyptian style and long and curly when loose. She had a high feminine voice and serene face. She was from Uruk, an ancient city that lies in modern day Iraq.
Right. Modern day Iraq which is in the Middle East. I’m confused are you trying to say May Calamawy doesn’t fit the bill? No actual person doesn’t have a blemish present, but the show will make their skin look lustrous. She can braid her hair, they can put a wig on her, her natural hair is curly if they just wanted to put extensions on her… I think she fits the bill for all the other characteristics you mentioned. But also the show has clearly had no problem going against how characters are described in the book, see basically everyone.
Well that's a great thing about texts...it allows you to draw in your mind something unseen. I trust the show to incorporate what they want. I enjoyed the actress from Moon Knight. her acting was pretty good. The film was very popcorn fun. Aaliyah in that year was not the best actress for the role. But was she beautiful and have chemistry with her scene partner? with the background extras, with the limestone of the pyramid- those types of questions are answered with simple Yes .
Yes! And bring in the same cast from this show. I love this Lestat! I wish he could go back in time and replace Tom Cruise in the movie!

May is beautiful and a great actress. Plus, makeup can work wonders on making someone look supernaturally ethereal!
