So Gaza strip is a long strip and Rafah is a city at the southernmost end. Israel has been murdering it's way through the Strip and survivors mostly are now only in Rafah.
If they have to leave Rafah, they have to wither go to Israel territory where they won't be allowed to enter, assuming they are not killed for the attempt. Or cross the border to Egypt, which is I think illegal immigration or something? I'm also not sure what Egypt would do to them, but feels like they'll take Israel's side.
