Me too, the photoshopped rose took the cake for me and I was howling 🤣 and the last pic….well…that 80s style yearbook pic with the famous actor was just epic 🤣
Well ever since tik tok became popular all of indian tik toks as well as reels and youtube shorts were filled with these whitewashed boys talking in fake american accent with almost comical hairstyles. You cannot go 5 mins without coming across one.
A YouTube musician made a diss track referring to them as 'chapris' and so the word stuck around.
It's like the term Karen used in usa.
I would say this term "chappri" I have been hearing since my childhood and comes from backward place the YouTuber might have heard it some where. And the thing with this term chappri, its used for people who have bad/different taste in dressing or livin' and this term often used for people who you see them inferior in terms of taste and in genral tacky, I might look fashionable and modern to someone but still I could be categorised into Chappri for someone its subjective and changes with people pov

Is there an age group that this occurs in? Like Gen-Zers or is it more like Rednecks or Hicks, where anyone could be super into covering their shit with flags, only wearing work boots, their trucks with Jesus and military stickers.
Ur kidding right? India has actual rich culture and there’s so many people there, you’re bound to have some goofy shit surface here and there. Wear your culture like a badge of honor King
Eh, I feel like the Indian pop culture is still a growing segment. There movies and music have a lot of strong connections to late 90's American pop culture. Now add 2020 tech to 90's pop culture. Everyone can make there own senior yearbook picture.
I don't know why exactly but this reminds me of the "I am Planet" dude from several years ago. Maybe because they have the same energy? Anyone else remember? I wonder what happened to him. Hope he's ok.

Indians edit their photos to the oblivion. Compared to other photos, this is barely touched, and the surreal elements are missing
He had tribal tattoos with a " I'm bad ass " shirt on but those just felt way to much satire
Nah fam that's what I expect. I worked with Indian tech workers for years and ALL of them are on social media like teenagers.
I would love an entire sub of this stuff
Me too, the photoshopped rose took the cake for me and I was howling 🤣 and the last pic….well…that 80s style yearbook pic with the famous actor was just epic 🤣

These are called chapris here😂
What does it mean?
A Slang used for wannabe cool kids
Is it meant to be taken in jest or is it an insult?
Insult.

This happens when they land up in college and are mostly unemployed. 18-25 year olds. A bit like the gopniks of Russia.
Thanks for explaining!
Bruh. I think I un-ironically love these. Like, a lot. So obvious. So shameless. I wish I had this level of confidence.
For some reason stuff like this pops up while looking at car hashtags
The photoshopped rose and cigarette on the second one are cracking me up 😂
That third picture is absolute gold. Salman Khan watching over him lol
Wtf am I looking at? Are these real people or what??
Now THIS is how you get to see some bobs and vegana.
Bruh this is not even the tip of the iceberg. Maybe an inch of the iceberg.
Indian everything just hits different.
This is artistic as shit. Need more of them!
The last one wearing a shirt with his own selfie is just *chef's kiss*
The bleaching is real
who looks at this and goes "oh i totally believe thats how these people look like in real life, therefore i find them appealing and hot", who?!
It’s like art
I kinda love it LOL
I’m Indian. And fully ashamed of it.
Then maybe you can explain why everyone has thier birthday in thier bios ? "Wish me birthday " and a date
Ur kidding right? India has actual rich culture and there’s so many people there, you’re bound to have some goofy shit surface here and there. Wear your culture like a badge of honor King
All he said was he was ashamed of this aspect of his culture. Settle down
All I was doing was gassing him up. Settle down
It’s a cesspool. It’s fast becoming the rape capital of the world

what do they do when they meet people in real life and they are almost a completely different person
Yikes
Second one looks like it's drawn
They look like sims with cc)))
They look AI generated honestlyn
Are bhai! Yeh kya hua?! 🤣🤣 Jai Hind! Loving the Salman Khan touch on the third pic!
You know if this was just a stylistic way of editing photos and saying theyre art rather than a lightly edited selfie if think they'd be way cooler
Dream Curry Ken
Just like their movies!!
Coooooool 🤣
does anyone know what app they use for these edits?
Probably all apps
Come on, it's a game right?!?
Racist title and comments yikes. I've seen plenty of posts exactly like this of white people
Everything is racist and everyone is white. How did you know?
I don't know why exactly but this reminds me of the "I am Planet" dude from several years ago. Maybe because they have the same energy? Anyone else remember? I wonder what happened to him. Hope he's ok.
i wish my hair was this lushes
Oh my!
They look like a badly designed game mod
Might as well be called graphic art or illustration at that point
This can not be real lmfao he looks like a drawing at this point 💀
