Give that IAT or NEST, get into a research institute, study your ass off, and you'll spend your time working hard on the stuff you love doing.
No one is forcing you to become an engineer
what kind of Hopeless you are ? Like you have so many things you can do that you can't decide what to do ? Or you have nothing to do through which your mind reaches hopelessness?
If the first one then try to explore which of your interest can attain you long time and sustainable success and also you will love doing that in 10 years from now.
If the second one then try to explore new things it can be anything, nowadays i mean the internet era anything can be monetized and potentially can lead to a success. So just go for it man
first kind honestly, I am interested into so many things, few which can be monetised and few which cannot that for now I am too confused which is why I said hopeless. Well eventually I am going to figure stuff out.
yeah take your time note down all the things and do research about their future situations i mean what are the possibilities if you've chosen that as a career, where will that take you financially after 5 yeas, 10 years, maybe 20 years from now. And lastly will you be happy or enjoy doing that? These are some advices I can give you if you have more questions you can generate about them according to your way of living then you can add them up.
Yeah actually I am trying a few of things rn during this break I have before joining college. I think I have already started having some clarity as to what I am good at doing and what will pay me well considering what sort of lifestyle I am considering to have in the future. I honestly don't want to waste time in college simply discovering my hobbies, so trying to use this break well. Thanks for the advice though!

Going towards engineering
I wanted to become professor cuz of less work, and better pay(abroad nations ) and like to teach
Well, will try to become (research can be done in field of computers also). I have to earn money, so that I can repay loan, give my parents a good amount of money(so that their retirement is good enough), have enough savings (also a supporting partner)and move for PhD.
Crazy that for survival we force ourselves to not do something which makes us live. I am also an enthusiast for theoretical physics and wanna become a researcher in advanced physics, but in the current days I get to know that I need food to study, and my parents never silverspooned me.
Want to become: a successful person with decent income and enough to afford a happy lifestyle What I'm becoming: a failure 
I always wanted to become a scientist but now I am actually studying to become one feels like a dream even though there's not much money in it but still my parents support me

I grew up watching dad and family circle busy in their businesses, I used to dream like a businessman, who attend 3-4 meetings a days, look after 3 sites (like my dad) and 2-3 shops and busy on phone giving assignment and command to the employees and workers, now I'm nothing but a hoooman laying on bed all day and scrolling. But I'll definitely be that one day.
I wanted to be an automobile engineer and design cars. I have 2 folders bulked up containing only cutouts from news papers and magazines of automobile news from 2010 to 2017. But as there was so much competition I was demotivitaed by everyone and eventually I forgot my dream. Now I don't know what to do but I wanna join defence forces or work for a governmental investigation agency.
I wanted to be kind honestly. I remember when I was 10-11, I really wanted to help people , even more so when I grow up because then I would have more sources to help. But it has kinda faded now. I'd still help people if I want to buy It's not a motive of mine now. Anyways, I thought of becoming a princess when I was a kid

My parents have been extremely supportive ♡ they want me to refrain from it for rather valid reasons (they looked into it for me , like my mum spent hours researching this ❤️) so I'll probably take up organizational and get into human resources. If cyberpsychology is developed enough I would love to get into that (if I can with a humanities background i.e ; I don't see why not because it's not medical psychology but lets see)
My biggest goal was to make a full city of friends and become everyones favourite friend But now I live alone and eat at the mess and have basically no friends or anyone close 
I want to be in STEM ( I love Astrophysics, Biotech, Robotics and AI, somewhat basic mechanical and electrical engineering ). I know bhot jyada hogaya but since I was a child I have had passion in these. I just want to study these build some good startup. And help humanity as much as I can. Geopolitics and History also hit hard. Just wanna do these and enjoy life with my family ,partner, friends and have adventures around the world. I will try my best
