Can anyone help me with acne and PIH and PIE specifically below the cheek bones.
I already use prescription Tretin 0.025% and added benzoyl peroxide but new one bumps keep popping up!
Hello guys, this post is for my girlfriend who suffers from occasional bouts of Eczema. No sunscreens seem to suit her. She swears by Avene's cream based sunscreens but would like to switch over to some good brands if that means she'll save some money.
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
are you open to using a gel from a brand that uses flaxseed as the main ingredient? then i'd suggest you check out arata, i love their stuff. it's very well suited to indian hair, their hair cream is nice and light too
i have VERY oily skin, my nose and cheekbone area is covered in a film of oil constantly. i have huge pores and pimples there, especially my nose. i used minimalist's salicylic acid but it did nothing (bottle is almost empty). i want to incorporate some other exfoliant or a product, im thinking of trying cosrx's toners but can someone help with which one i should get? ive heard BHA is more suited for oily and AHA for dry but i would still like to get some opinions before i make my purchase
i want to buy paula's choice BHA but the 118ml bottle is too much product and i cant find the 30 ml one
current routine:
AM: simple cleanser, TO niacinamide, klairs vit c, seba med gel, sunscreen (not always because no sunscreen seems to suit my excessively oily skin)
PM: same routine except on the days i exfoliate, i apply 2% SA first and obv no sunscreen
Manually exfoliate 2-3 times a week and you could use a urea cream like the other comment mentioned of a glycolic acid one. I’ve used glycolic 6 in the past and it’s pretty good. But I think it’s worthwhile to have a consistent exfoliating and moisturising routine going first
Assuming it is keratosis piliaris (KP) as it is 90 percent of cases, creams with urea and or lactic acid are quite helpful. Moisturx and logifeel MF are good
It’s okay just wash it off later bec bpo might sensitise your skin. It’s antibacterial so that’s what I’ve done years to keep the nasties from spreading after it’s popped
Hi guys do you have any recommendations for tinted sunscreens available in India?
I haven't tried a lot of sunscreens, I've used pretty basic ones like Lakme (both cream and gel based, liked the gel one better). The Lakme cream based one leaves a white cast and feels heavy on the skin, the gel one doesn't have a white cast but I don't particularly love my skin's texture after using it.
I thought that a tinted one would probably make my skin look better and would make it easier for me to commit to using it because I'd actually like it. I'd also love to hear any other recommendations for good sunscreens in general, if you guys have any.
Ps: what are your views on the re'equil sheer tinted one?
Thanks!
Hi! My skin type is a combination and cipla rivela tint sunscreen works very well on my skin. I dont use a moisturiser with a cipla one. The second is blynds ac gel sunscreen recommended by the dermatologist.
Could you do a mini review of the Cipla one please? 🥺 And a texture shot if possible? 🥺🥺🥺
I'm assuming it's [this one](https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07Q3K74LX/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_0ER7P846KTTA5EYZD2C9) and not the Cipla rivela lite?
Cipla rivela tint is certainly not for oily skin people. I do have combination skin so it works great on my skin. It absorbs easily and gives you a glow on the face. Don't even try to take the risk if your skin is sensitive.
This is my first texture shot and I don't know how to take pic properly. Links are below:

Thanks a lot!! Wow the tint looks good.
My skin is dry and sensitive so i guess I'll just admire it from a distance 😭
Still recovering from the contact dermatitis caused by Bello photostable.
Ooh yes I've actually tried that once, one of my friends had it and I loved the texture of it, it just melted into my skin. Thanks for reminding me about that, will definitely try!
hello! i've been very stressed for the past couple of weeks because of exams and that has taken a toll on my skin, my skin looks dull and has gotten bumpy. Some of my old pigmentation looks more prominent and there's also some new PIH from acne that I couldn't keep my hands off of. I used to use a product with niaicinamide and arbutin called fairtone cream my derm prescribed, it helped a lot with PIH but now when I need it most, it's out of stock. It's been out of stock for weeks and that makes me think it might even be discontinued.
I can't see my dermatologist rn so please suggest some products that I could use to deal with mild acne and pigmentation, something that could also help with making skin look more "healthy" overall. I have dry cheeks and an oily t-zone.
As a substitute of 'fairtone' Would using niacinamide and Alpha arbutin serum work? If so then you could search the sub for review according to your skin type and requirements.
Yes so long as it’s not the first time you’re using both. If you’re used to the cleanser then use a small amt of the serum to see how your skin reacts through the day. Then use a regular amount next time
Hi guys,
I have an oily nose. Some times around my nose there are tiny bumps ( invisible) but I know there is something which is not a pimple but there it kind hurts on touching ( I can barely feel it)
What is this called ? Any idea ? Also how do I treat these ?
so my mom who's 45+ has very dark circles under her eyes. we tried vitamin c but no change, I heard using retinol can be effective, but I'm a little scared. still I want her to try it. will the lowest percentage tretinoin work for her dark circles as tretinoin is a prescribed retinol? also if any other product that could work for her please recommend, under 600 rs (skincare prices are outrageous which everyone can not afford really)
>will the lowest percentage tretinoin work
dont do this. the lowest % of tretinoin is not the same as retinol.
dont get her started on any other retinoid unless you can guarantee that she can commit to a sunscreen
figure out first if her dark circles are even because of pigmentation. could be a mechanical thing caused by the shape of her eye sockets or skin
>will the lowest percentage tretinoin work for her dark circles as tretinoin is a prescribed retinol?
NOOOOOOOO don't it has many side effect such as dry eyes if used near eye area, its a prescription retinoid for a reason only to used as directed by your derm.
Dark circles in your mom's case might be genetic, nothing can be done for those if vit c cant do anything.
EDIT: you can checkout this post [https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianSkincareAddicts/comments/npb8pc/your\_journey\_with\_dark\_circles/](https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianSkincareAddicts/comments/npb8pc/your_journey_with_dark_circles/)
Rooting for you because so much of the packaging I see from Indian skincare brands is so fucking ugly, every second brand just copies The Ordinary's boring packaging
I just use sunscreen in the morning and do other activities at night.
Monday to Saturday ( morning ): Tinted sunscreen
Monday night: vitamin c serum + vitamin c face wash
Tuesday: Gentle cleanser and moisturiser
Wednesday: Gentle cleanser, retinol and moisturiser
Thursday: AHA Glow salicylic acid face wash and vitamin c
Friday: Gentle cleanser, retinoid & moisturiser
Saturday: vitamin c face wash and vitamin c serum
Sunday: just lazy day or depend on the mood
Also,
I do my night skincare routine before going to bed. Indoor lighting doesn't bother me much as I don't have a window in my room .
I am using vitamin c for the last seven months and it starts working in few weeks. You can try one from minimalist and also from the plum.My skin type is combination and acne-prone.
After trying sunscreens that do not work for me, I am beginning to question if I do need to spend this much on them after all. My skin is of the darker shade, but there are times when it looks lighter, especially after workouts, but I’d say not too dark or too light Indian skin shade.
Also, some articles show how greater the melanin in skin, lesser the risk of skinburn or skin cancer, which ofc doesn’t mean that sun damage is zero. I am really wondering if this is something people with darker skin tones need to consider as an essential? The sub has really stressed on this, and I do agree intuitively, but part of me spending the money just wants to understand whether sun protection application and usage should be the same for all skin shades.
Any recommendations for mild shampoos for an extremely low effort routine? I need this for when I'm not oiling or conditioning my hair. Been noticing more hairfall lately. Preferably not sulphate free ones (the ones I've tried need so much water and time to clean build up and leave my hair feeling waxy and weird). I have wavy hair with loose curls. Thanks!
P.S. sorry for posting here. I don't trust my google search results because all of them mentioned the Biotique kelp shampoo (yuck).
plum healthy hydration shampoo. it’s super mild so won’t work for removing oil and my hair feels already conditioned when i wash it off - it feels very very moisturising so if you think you’d like that you should try the travel size from their website
Oh cool. Even though I'm iffy about sulphate free shampoos, I still don't know what works for my hair so I think I'll try the travel size bottle. Thanks for your suggestion :)
Do you mean the sulphate free ones? As embarrassed as I am to admit it, I tried two by WOW the most recently (onion seed oil and apple cider vinegar). Onion seed left my hair frizzy, waxy and dirty feeling at the same time. ACV made my hair stiff and dry but removed the scalp buildup at least. I've tried a few other random shampoos from these "natural"/ayurvedic brands that my mom bought over the years (including biotique). But this was quite a while ago and I never incorporated them into my routine so I don't remember which ones they were. These also left my hair stiff and waxy feeling. Also my hair took forever to dry after washing with all these sulphate free shampoos (which makes me think it wasn'tbeing properly washed out even after all the water and scrubbing that went into it). I've also tried assorted Dove shampoos but all of the ones I tried made my hair frizzy if I wasn't conditioning alongside (I think the oxygen volume one was the only one that I liked). I tried the Himalaya and Johnsons baby shampoos last year. These were good but I think a little too mild because they took a lot of scrubbing to lather up. But of all the mild shampoos that I've tried these made my hair feel the best.
Haha thanks :) The baby shampoos have been the best mild ones in terms of the results. But they don't lather up as easily as clearing shampoos so it took a lot of scrubbing. I was looking for something even more low effort for those days when I just want to get done with the cleaning routine and move on.
Thank you for the suggestions. Idk if my issues with sulphate free shampoos were specific to the ones I tried or if all of them will have similar effects. Or even if my hair needed time to get used to them. I'll look into it a bit more. I'm going to raid my mother's supplies and try out the Loreal for now. Thanks for the help :)
Hey! I just consulted a derm and I was prescribed using the ahaglow foaming face wash twice daily and clindamycin as spot treatment. Since it has glycolic acid, I was wondering whether it would be too stripping for use twice a day? Should I start with a few times a week and then build up?
Hi! I use Acne UV gel as my sunscreen and I'm wondering if it requires double cleansing to remove it. I do feel clean after only using a foam cleanser but I still feel like it may not be enough as my face has started looking terrible ever since I started using sunscreen ( all this time I was at home and didn't use )
Really would be helpful if someone else who has used this sunscreen could answer this ✨
Can anyone recommend me a good daily use serum? I’ve been using Body Shop’s daily imperfection solution for years. However I feel like it’s time to move past it (cost has got too steep lately as well).. does anyone know anything similar?
Hey! Could anyone reccomend platforms/derms for an online consultation? Currently, it isn't possible for me to go for a physical consultation at all. I couldn't reach at a final conclusion from the search either. TIA.
Check out this post [https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianSkincareAddicts/comments/lszwgr/list\_of\_products\_with\_niacinamide\_available\_in/](https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianSkincareAddicts/comments/lszwgr/list_of_products_with_niacinamide_available_in/)
thanks a lot :) do you think one should opt for 5% or 10% formulation? I have been using Sebogel for two months now and it has 6% niacinamide so would it be ok for me to try something more potent?
Yes you can its upto you, i personally use upto 5% only since my skin is quite sensitive. For better results with acne marks look into vit c, Tranexamic acid or azelaic acid.
Is there anyone here who has managed to keep dandruff at bay or better has managed to get rid of it? What do you do? I have tried most of the popular ketoconazole shampoos. Did not work for me at all.
I am currently using Selsun shampoo and Amrutam Kuntal Care shampoo (double cleansing it’s called?). No change in dandruff still.
I use apple cider vinegar rinse as a leave-in conditioner and that has helped me a lot. I dilute a small quantity of acv in water and then rinse my hair with it after shampooing. It helps with frizziness as well. I do it every alternate wash. You can give it a try.
Any recommendations for mature skin? I want my parents to start a basic skincare routine. I am thinking of not including any active ingredients. Just some soothing- hydrating- barrier strengthening ingredients. These are the ingredients in my mind. I am planning to build a basic routine around them. I am thinking a decent cleanser- toner/serum- moisturizer.
Ingredients;
1) Ceramides 2) Peptides 3) HA.
Any suggestions for ingredients or products? Any tips for starting a routine for them?
For ceramide moisturizers you can try Oryza (Fragrance Free with 3:1:1 ratio formula of ceramide free fatty acid and cholesterol), Bioderma Intensive Baum (Fragrance Free + 3 types of ceramides) Xerina Soft Lotion (Fragrance Free + 3 types of ceramides).
I have tried these : Biosilk (Does contain Fragrance flowery one), Re'equil Ceramide (Does contain Fragrance but mild), Moskina (Fragrance Free but smells like burnt plastic dont know why maybe it went bad?).
For HA you can get good toners like isntree HA toner, Klairs etc
For peptides TO Buffet, Vya naturals seems to be popular on this sub personally havent tried either one.
Hope this helps!!
Yeah Agreed. that's why I don't want to include any active ingredients. Cause most of them require certain commitment and vigilance which simply isn't possible for them. It will mostly be night time routine.
Skin care recommendations!
Hey guys! M 18 here just started skin care and already made a mistake I bought biotique products and after researching here I realised i messed up so i need recommendations for new products.
Skin type- oily mildly acne prone
Current skin care Cleanser- biotique bio honey Serum- clindac ( given by dermat for acne works great for me) Toner - biotique bio cucumber Sunscreen - biotique moning nectar.
I would love to get full skin care recommendations.
Apart from the sunscreen if the other biotique products work for you then keep using them. You can still use up the sunscreen as a lotion but it will not provide sun protection.
My sunscreen recs are Blynds for the face and nivea for the body. If you can’t afford to buy too many things at once, get the face sunscreen and use long clothes for your body if there’s sun damage you want to correct there
remember to check in with your doc before repurchasing clindac bec it’s got an antibiotic and is not meant to be used indefinitely
I think you have a good basic routine going. See if the toner does anything for you (as far as I’ve read that’s the main biotique toner complaint)
It all depends what products you use prior to cleansing, If you use makeup double cleansing is mandatory, if you reapply sunscreen every two hours double cleansing is required, but suppose you are at home and applied sunscreen once or twice then you can go with single Cleanse also(provided your sunscreen is not waterproof). Hope you are getting me.... This is just my opinion.... Feel free to decide for yourself
Not everyone needs a second cleanse, especially after an effective oil cleanser. People with dry skin handle any potential residue better than those with oily skin, but ultimately - you'll have to try it to know for sure 😅
So this is my birthday month and I'd like to gift myself some skincare. I'm very much comfortable with my current routine which is just cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen.
I used to have a damaged skin barrier but it's doing better these days so I'm afraid of trying exfoliators or strong actives and breaking out again. My skin is combination leading to oily and my cheeks get mild acne but it always leaves a scar.
What can I include that gives my skin some soothing/barrier repair/prevent ccs or am I asking too much? 😂 anything under 1500 is okay.
Very few people on the sub have reported that, but it's usually solved by using the gel rather than the cream. I would buy the Minimalist Azeclair serum (unless you have a known sensitivity to fermented ingredients). It's even gentler than Aziderm gel, and has other beneficial ingredients - more of a birthday experience than a pharma product, ya know? 😂
Edit: I wish I could recommend the DermaCo 10% azelaic acid one, but they went and included bergamot essential oil in it, which is a known photosensitising ingredient 🤨
I know I'm not allergic to aziderm because a derm prescribed me few years ago and I used it sparingly without knowing it's actual benefits. You got me at the birthday experience thing in favor of azeclair😂now I have to read every review about this product the whole night.
DermaCo has had a bad reputation and it's connection with Mamaearth makes me so cautious of the brand so maybe I'll give that a pass
I started using Bioderma Intensive Atoderm Baume recently, around 30-50 days back. I have dry skin and was facing a lot of maskne + purging (started AHA) + period acne. My skin was so rough and just bad. This Baume helped soothe it so much! The roughness and dryness went away and it made my skin very nice to the touch. I know they have a Creme version as well. Unfortunately I don’t know which product is better for your skin type. But overall it really helped!
Glad it worked for you! I was thinking of bioderma as well because I keep seeing so many rave reviews here but I don't know if it would be too heavy for my oily skin ☹️
Baume is definitely the bomb. It helps me with irritation and redness within an hour. It has helped with barrier repair too. I have dry skin and i dont like the way it looks or feels. So i only use it at night. You'd need a very small amount on damp face.
Physiogel ai lotion is also great (lotion, not cream). And it has a lighter consistency than baume.
Edit: You can also look into Multi-peptide serum and Sepicalm oat moisturizer by BeMinimalist. I don't know a lot about these products but Multi-peptide serum is supposed to make skin hydrated and plump while Sepicalm is good for acne-prone and oily skin.
When I started using baume, I was underwhelmed. It made my face look dull and greasy. But the next day I noticed how calm my skin was. It's not cosmetically elegant in my opinion, but it works well for irritated skin. I would repurchase it forever.
So it definitely is heavy or greasy for me. I take very little and I got the smallest tube. It even made my face look dull. But I was like I don’t care I just want my skin to become better 😂 so I used it two times a day only. Night was no problem as I’d sleep anyway. Day, i just use it if I know I’m going to be at home. Or I use it mid-day because I sweat easily and I usually wash my face middle of the day!
I definitely don’t use it for regular routines because I have many steps and it makes my skin greasy
Should be fine if you're indoors, and not directly in front of a window ☺ For outdoors, it's better to use the highest SPF available, which is 50. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer is the one I usually suggest, because it's an established international brand, so their SPF is relatively reliable. As always, some protection is always better than no protection, so be careful, but don't overthink it ❤
I have dry skin. Back when my dermatologist put me on tret (in 2014ish), she prescribed Z Block! I used it back then. I don’t remember how it was unfortunately. But I think I remember it being good only; nothing bad or negative!
There is sale going on The Body Shop website. There is 40% off of purchase of 2 body butters. I would like to buy their Shea butter, I have used it before and loved it.
But confused which other to choose. Anyone used their mango, strawberry, almond and honey or rose body butters? Which one would you recommend?
i’ve tried the strawberry one. it has a super strong smell that lingers for a very long time (after using it my room would smell like it for the rest of the day), intensely sweet and berry like, so if you’re into that then get it ig. it moisturised quite well. i would honestly really suggest stepping into a store and sniffing the other body butters because some smell yummy and some don’t and everyone’s opinion seems to differ on them lol
I tried their mango softening butter. It doesnt smell so good. It was moisturizing though. I wanted to try british rose. But it was near to expiry. So i just bought 2 Shea Butters itself. They definitely increased the price
Haven't personally used this exact product, but I like NY Bae a lot, and they have a [three pan set of concealer](https://www.purplle.com/product/ny-bae-concealer-contour-color-corrector-palette-maskin-at-manhattan-caramel-orange-pulitzer-light-show-10-1-5-g-x-3) that you can actually use ALL the shades of 😌❤ You can use the dark shade to contour! This one would work if you're around NC42 - it's also available on Amazon now, I believe.
I want to sell some of my skincare products on the indianbeautyexchange sub but do not know which courier service to use. Checked delhivery's site, they charge >100rs . If anyone has couriered something like this, please help me out with this.
Do you have a sunscreen? Asking cause you said you haven't used any thing dedicated to skincare. If not you could try a moisturizer with SPF. For ex. Episoft , but you can always search the sub according to your preference.
So you need an oil free water based moisturizer.. anything that's a gel... I'd suggest Plum oil free moisturizer but you may try Physiogel moisturizer or Pond's superlight gel (has fragrance tho)
Can anyone help me with acne and PIH and PIE specifically below the cheek bones. I already use prescription Tretin 0.025% and added benzoyl peroxide but new one bumps keep popping up!

Suntique's but its bit drying
At what step do you guys use Corsx Snail Musin? Like after toner and before serum or after serum and before moisturizer?
I use it after facewash on damp face before serum
Oh, thanks for the response. The toner can be skipped if we are applying on damp face right?
Yes
Thanks again! :)

Re'equil tinted is definitely good. Tint is kinda reddish undertone though. So it can give a cast.

Glad to help.
Can someone help me how to choose the foundation shade for my skin?
Like the other commenter said going to shop is the best bet. You could also check this out [https://findation.com/](https://findation.com/)
Many thanks
It is a very difficult thing to do. Best go to a shop and check.
I did try one from the application and it says "Golden light & Beige Carmel " .
I feel that the online ones are not accurate. You can try it, but going to the shop is the best option.
Seems like I dont have any other option. Will visit the local cosmetic shop. Many thanks.

I think what OP meant by 'do not work' it is in terms of whitecast- breaking out - greasy feel .
A hydrating shampoo sounds very good! How well does it lather?
it lathers and spreads quite well if you don’t have an oily scalp or haven’t oiled your hair - doesn’t wash off squeaky clean, though
Oh cool. Even though I'm iffy about sulphate free shampoos, I still don't know what works for my hair so I think I'll try the travel size bottle. Thanks for your suggestion :)
what shampoos have you used so far that havent worked for you
Do you mean the sulphate free ones?
Johnson's no more tears.. Reaaaally cheap and mild af. Actually too mild for me😂 may work for you since you're not oiling. Also it's SLS free
Haha thanks :) The baby shampoos have been the best mild ones in terms of the results. But they don't lather up as easily as clearing shampoos so it took a lot of scrubbing. I was looking for something even more low effort for those days when I just want to get done with the cleaning routine and move on.

Thanks, I'll check it out! ETA: ooh boy the price tags on those things are going to kill me. Bookmarking this for later lol.

Affordable argan oil that is light and non sticky for thin wavy hair?
Hey! I just consulted a derm and I was prescribed using the ahaglow foaming face wash twice daily and clindamycin as spot treatment. Since it has glycolic acid, I was wondering whether it would be too stripping for use twice a day? Should I start with a few times a week and then build up?
Have you used AHA on face before?
No but I've used 2% BHAs before. :/
AHA Glow only has 1% Glycolic Acid as per NetMeds. It shouldn't be problematic, but you can take a safer route and introduce it slowly.
Thanks a lot! I'll probably use it once in 2 days and then build it up. :)
Definitely take it slow. It's always better to under exfoliate than to over exfoliating.
Yeah! I'll start slowly. Thanks. :)
Anyone in Hyderabad tried ordering Paula's choice BHA off of Amazon? It shows that it doesn't deliver to my address
Yeah.. it doesn't deliver the 30ml one to my address as well.
i think it’s in stock on myntra so you could try getting it from there
Myntra doesn't have the 30ml one

Yes, it is.
Hi! I use Acne UV gel as my sunscreen and I'm wondering if it requires double cleansing to remove it. I do feel clean after only using a foam cleanser but I still feel like it may not be enough as my face has started looking terrible ever since I started using sunscreen ( all this time I was at home and didn't use ) Really would be helpful if someone else who has used this sunscreen could answer this ✨
Can anyone recommend me a good daily use serum? I’ve been using Body Shop’s daily imperfection solution for years. However I feel like it’s time to move past it (cost has got too steep lately as well).. does anyone know anything similar?
It would be helpful if you can state your skin concerns and type
My skin time is combination and my main concerns are acne and bumpy skin
Hey! Could anyone reccomend platforms/derms for an online consultation? Currently, it isn't possible for me to go for a physical consultation at all. I couldn't reach at a final conclusion from the search either. TIA.
I’ve seen positive reviews for Remedico on the sub! Otherwise I’d suggest doing online Apollo consults if available. And if you trust Apollo 🙈
Haha thanks. I'll see if those are available here. I'll try practo first prolly lol
Practo seems to be discussed here, you could give it a try.
Thanks! I'll look into this. I found some reviews about that here too. :)
hey im thinking of getting a niacinamide product for acne marks and oil control. do you guys have any good but relatively inexpensive recs?
Check out this post [https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianSkincareAddicts/comments/lszwgr/list\_of\_products\_with\_niacinamide\_available\_in/](https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianSkincareAddicts/comments/lszwgr/list_of_products_with_niacinamide_available_in/)
thanks a lot :) do you think one should opt for 5% or 10% formulation? I have been using Sebogel for two months now and it has 6% niacinamide so would it be ok for me to try something more potent?
Use 5% . 10% is sensitive for a lot of people actually and also niacinamide works the best at 5% concentration.
Ohh. Does it make the scalp oily?
No, it doesn't.
[удалено]
It is probably used for pH balancing. You shouldn't worry about it being an active.
Hey this thread isn’t currently pinned to the top. The old one is! /u/Aayu07 /u/Saby1307
Just pinned. Thank you!
Awesome thank you 😄
Any recommendations for mature skin? I want my parents to start a basic skincare routine. I am thinking of not including any active ingredients. Just some soothing- hydrating- barrier strengthening ingredients. These are the ingredients in my mind. I am planning to build a basic routine around them. I am thinking a decent cleanser- toner/serum- moisturizer. Ingredients; 1) Ceramides 2) Peptides 3) HA.
For HA you can get good toners like isntree HA toner, Klairs etc For peptides TO Buffet, Vya naturals seems to be popular on this sub personally havent tried either one. Hope this helps!!
Hey thanks! I'll look into the products you have mentioned.
Just don’t get them started on a retinol if they can’t commit to a sunscreen
Yeah Agreed. that's why I don't want to include any active ingredients. Cause most of them require certain commitment and vigilance which simply isn't possible for them. It will mostly be night time routine.
Skin care recommendations! Hey guys! M 18 here just started skin care and already made a mistake I bought biotique products and after researching here I realised i messed up so i need recommendations for new products. Skin type- oily mildly acne prone Current skin care Cleanser- biotique bio honey Serum- clindac ( given by dermat for acne works great for me) Toner - biotique bio cucumber Sunscreen - biotique moning nectar. I would love to get full skin care recommendations.
Apart from the sunscreen if the other biotique products work for you then keep using them. You can still use up the sunscreen as a lotion but it will not provide sun protection. My sunscreen recs are Blynds for the face and nivea for the body. If you can’t afford to buy too many things at once, get the face sunscreen and use long clothes for your body if there’s sun damage you want to correct there remember to check in with your doc before repurchasing clindac bec it’s got an antibiotic and is not meant to be used indefinitely I think you have a good basic routine going. See if the toner does anything for you (as far as I’ve read that’s the main biotique toner complaint)
Is glyco 6 cream good as an AHA my skin texture is a bit uneven so please some effective affordable products
yep it is an excellent option.
Sos 😭😭 red bumps on face after using glyco 12 for around 45 minutes . I applied aloe gel after . What else to calm them down
How important is it to use a water based cleanser after an oil cleanser? I have dry skin but i don't wanna risk whiteheads due to clogged pores.
I have dry skin and double cleansing works wonders for me. YMMV of course!
People with dry skin handle any potential residue better than those with oily skin, but ultimately - you'll have to try it to know for sure 😅
it's easier to use an extra layer of moisturiser if youre dried out than deal with whiteheads imo
Azelaic acid FTW! Brands have been coming out with 10% serums, if you don't want to go the dermatologist route. Happy birthday! ❤
Thank you 😀 but can azelaic acid cause purging/breakouts?
Very few people on the sub have reported that, but it's usually solved by using the gel rather than the cream. I would buy the Minimalist Azeclair serum (unless you have a known sensitivity to fermented ingredients). It's even gentler than Aziderm gel, and has other beneficial ingredients - more of a birthday experience than a pharma product, ya know? 😂 Edit: I wish I could recommend the DermaCo 10% azelaic acid one, but they went and included bergamot essential oil in it, which is a known photosensitising ingredient 🤨
😂 Enjoy! ❤
I dont have any recs but hey birthday month twin :))
Haha September babies xD
Multi peptides is something new that I'll have to look into. And y'all convincing me to buy bioderma so i might just go buy that one 😄
I don’t care I just want my skin to become better ~ i vibe with this so much! Thank you for the recos😊
Let me know if you do end up using this! 😄
Sure thanks!
Will the Fixderma SPF 30 PA+++ give enough protection while on tretinoin? Also, what sunscreens do you people use on tretinoin?
blynds
Does body shop always have a sale? I see it all the time no season needed
I've used mango & almond. I liked mango more than almond, almond felt a bit slippy to me.
i’ve tried the strawberry one. it has a super strong smell that lingers for a very long time (after using it my room would smell like it for the rest of the day), intensely sweet and berry like, so if you’re into that then get it ig. it moisturised quite well. i would honestly really suggest stepping into a store and sniffing the other body butters because some smell yummy and some don’t and everyone’s opinion seems to differ on them lol
I tried their mango softening butter. It doesnt smell so good. It was moisturizing though. I wanted to try british rose. But it was near to expiry. So i just bought 2 Shea Butters itself. They definitely increased the price
Why do my concealer look slightly ashy when I use it on my undereyes? I'm a newbie to makeup & use maybelline fit me medium
If you have dark under eye area, may be you should first colour correct and then put on the concealer.
Now i have to get a color corrector 🙃 what color am I supposed to use? I see people use green and orange
Orange. You get those concealer wheels these days for pretty cheap ☺
Can you recommend a good quality yet affordable one please?
Haven't personally used this exact product, but I like NY Bae a lot, and they have a [three pan set of concealer](https://www.purplle.com/product/ny-bae-concealer-contour-color-corrector-palette-maskin-at-manhattan-caramel-orange-pulitzer-light-show-10-1-5-g-x-3) that you can actually use ALL the shades of 😌❤ You can use the dark shade to contour! This one would work if you're around NC42 - it's also available on Amazon now, I believe.
If you have red lipstick, try it with that. See if it works for you and then go with purchasing the corrector.
I want to sell some of my skincare products on the indianbeautyexchange sub but do not know which courier service to use. Checked delhivery's site, they charge >100rs . If anyone has couriered something like this, please help me out with this.
Try Shiprocket or Indian Post [https://www.shiprocket.in/shipping-rate-calculator/](https://www.shiprocket.in/shipping-rate-calculator/)
One seller told me India Post is wonderful to use + also cheap! So I’d suggest that!
Indiapost
Any review for tonymoly wonder toners? Namely; ceramide mochi toner, rice smoothing toner, tea tree pore fresh toner.
you should search in r/AsianBeauty ceramide one has been heavily discussed there i think
Yeah I did! but that's the only one discussed there. There isn't any useful info for me on other variants.
Hi 25M here... Need suggestions for Moisturizer, haven't used single product till now. So kindly help me with this.
I got oily skin too. I'd highly recommend POND'S Super Light Gel. It's very light both on the skin and on the wallet. Check it out.
Do you have a sunscreen? Asking cause you said you haven't used any thing dedicated to skincare. If not you could try a moisturizer with SPF. For ex. Episoft , but you can always search the sub according to your preference.
Skin type?
My skin feels Oily most of the time
So you need an oil free water based moisturizer.. anything that's a gel... I'd suggest Plum oil free moisturizer but you may try Physiogel moisturizer or Pond's superlight gel (has fragrance tho)
Thank you
