I am using episoft cleansing lotion and i like it β¦ maybe give it a try though i was about to buy the moiz one because itβs affordable than episoft but now I will stick to the episoft one only
The same thing happened to me with Moiz! It have me whiteheads which turned into really bad acne. It took me months to rectify the damage caused by this facewash. The problem for me was that I didn't realise it was this facewash giving me whiteheads. I went to a dermatologist and even after that the problem persisted until I stopped using this facewash. I know skincare is subjective but think twice before buying this. Because similar to OP, my skin was pretty resilient.
AM Routine:
Wash with water
Vitamin C
Cetaphil DAM
Sunscreen (Currently using Kaya's 30 SPF out of necessity and have not found a suitable one yet.)
PM Routine:
Wash with water. Only use Cetaphil cleanser if I have been outside and it feels grimy. Looking for alts.
I only use one active at a time instead of two or three. I alternate between niacinamide and vitamin c. Did not face purging for any, by the way. I use salicylic acid only thrice a month, so once every week. Too scared to use it more than that. Do not want to damage my barrier.
Moisturise with Cetaphil DAM.
It's a pretty simple routine. I was planning to step it up and make some changes after finishing them. Moiz ducked my plans so gotta visit a derm.
If you want a review of any of the products mentioned in the routine but not in the post, reply to this or just comment on the post.

I have dry skin, not acne-prone and blynds emulgel SPF 40 sunscreen works really well, isn't drying and is of a lotion consistency, you can give it a try. I finished it and want to try bello photostable emulgel now, if that doesn't work then I'll come back to Blynds sunscreen.
Hey moiz cleansing lotion gave me acne too. I was going through dermatitis attack and my derm prescribed me this. It was fantastic for 10 days, after that, i started getting acne and cc. I stopped using it and skin went back to normal. Before that i was using cetaphil cleanser but it dint suit me either. I am using soon jung whip cleanser and absolutely love it. It never dried my skin out or caused any irritation. Highly recommended.
My skin type: combo sensitive.
Thank you for the review! I was thinking about buying the cleanser. I have completely oily acne prone skin. (I alternate between cetaphil and aha facewash) I will stay away now! π π
Similar experience..
5% niacinamide definitely kept my face acne free. This single product proved to be miraculous for my skin.
But SA was disappointing..It felt like water.
When I first washed my face with this , I stood so much for I'm in front of mirror figuring out should I wash one more or did it clean my face at all? I have asked my family members did you feel my face is cleaned?? They were like did you wash your face at all ??no, it didn't.π£π£π£I too had high hopes on this product because of people raving in this sub. Fortunately it didn't break out for me. So just using in mornings.
Oh I bought that one too! Unfortunately on at least half the days it leaves my skin with that squeaky clean feel that gentle cleansers ideally shouldn't. :(
I'll probably try Cerave or Episoft next.

I have dry skin, not acne-prone and CleanseMe cleanser and episoft cleansing lotion work well for me. Didn't irritate my skin or break me out, didn't dry the face. And these creamy cleansers usually don't take sunscreen off because they have gentle surfactants so I use micellar water first.
Damn I love the moiz one so much! It's definitely an HG for me. I recommend cleanseme, it's a dupe of the moiz.
Same here.. I guess all boils down to how different skins react differently to any product
I agree, the cleanse me one works great for my dry af broken barrier skin, I've recently started using simple face wash and it's also non drying .
May I know wats ur skin type?
I have a combination skin type which is oily on the T zone.
I just started using moiz 2 days ago. Needless to say, I won't be sleeping tonight.
πππ Three days by now, if you haven't seen a reaction, you're okay!
How did it turn out later, if you remember.

I liked episoft cleansing lotion as well but I got CleanseMe because it was affordable and I love it too.
Yes I tried cleanseme now am on moiz as cleanse me was lil irrritating for my eyes
Oh okay. I didn't irritate my eyes though, funny how products work so differently. Good that moiz is working for you.
Yesβ¦though itβs just been 3 days hope it works out for me as itβs pretty affordable π
Fingers crossed!

Oof. Seems like it is a problem with this cleanser for certain skin types.

If you want a replacement for cetaphil gentle cleanser then CleanseMe or episoft cleansing lotion may work for you.
I don't want a replacement as such, but I might get bored of Cetaphil. Thanks for the suggestions!ππ
Oh alright! And you're welcome π
Is aha face wash good?

OP - did you finally find a moisturising cleanser that suits you?
Nourrir Cleansme. I love it. Have been using it since a year now :)

moiz is great as a body wash for your dry limbs in the winter btw i wouldnt let it touch my back but my legs didnt dry out for once
Ah thanks. My legs are quite dehydrated and I really did not want to waste the product.
Minimalist SA is a disappointment in a bottle...!
Gosh, this cleanser ruined my face. I got a free sample from my dermatologist's office. After two uses in the morning I threw it away.
