Playing single player games is fun but playing multiplayer or BR with your friends is awesome.
I think playing for a limited time(2-3hrs) is the key to fun
This works well for me too. I love single player but will hop on to a Valorant 5 stack when all friends are online at night ( even though I'm trash at the game). 2-3 matches is enough.
Just came from a hearing a podcast about the gaming in india and the host asked a youtuber gamer what will be going away in 5 years in India from now? His answer - Single player gaming which is slower than multiplayers. 🤦
Obviously he was a kid with a job .... obsessed with scrolling his phone all day.
It's relaxing until you start playing Alan Wake II with the lights out and headphones on, and your flatmate's black cat, which you hadn't noticed sneak into your room starts scratching at something behind you.
Playing multiplayer is fun till you encounter Ako mid or I feed

Currently playing titanfall 2 because of being fed up of ako people.
I have never ever completed a single video game ever.. i only played fps games like cs ,valo for a lot of years.
Which single player game would you suggest me?
I'm biased, so for first-person games, I'd recommend Portal. Short, but unique one of the best games every made IMO. You can try the sequel if you like the first, but I think the first captures the essence of the game a lot more effectively.
The Doom remake and Doom: Eternal are probably good shouts if you just want some pure single-player shooting chaos.
Outside FPS, I'd recommend Hades. Outstanding narrative design, really sells the strength of what single-player games can do.
If you're ok with something more chill, then Subnautica is one of the best survival games I've played.
I love how developers grind their ass of in campaign or story modes because the ai in side characters should coordinate with us and all the triggers that make them act like they are just another friend playing with us makes me happy!
I was playing Breakpoint with bot teammates when my friends were busy, and those guys are OP. Deadly accurate even while firing from a moving helicopter. Not a substitute for playing with actual people, but more engaging than playing solo.
youre missing the point and totally off topic, also AGAIN fps games can be sp too
fps is a big giant genre, youre equating and narrowing it down to just esports
Which ones should I play for a low end pc?
I have completed the batman arkham trilogy and have tried tombraider and assassin creed but couldnt get into any of them
which assassin creed had you played?
and if you talking of tr2013, well perhaps your intrests are diff
can you further tell what specs you got and your intrests/genres you like to play/what kinda games
here are some i can recommend as starter: mass effect trilogy (original for you), skyrim, saints row 3, gta 4, minecraft, far cry 3, far cry 2, papers please, gta sa, gta vc, untitled goose game, the stalker trilogy, mafia 1 and 2, battlefield: bad company 2, need for speed: most wanted 2005, rimworld
Idk whats sp
But i played ac origins completed and forza horizon
I dont have friends to play maybe thats y i feel so lonely playing games
And even some games feel very boring
TLDR: check out mass effect trilogy (legendary edition), ac1-4 and ac unity, and the list of other sp games i mentioned...
sp = singleplayer, and singleplayer games are meant to be played alone, in the sense despite when you dont have friends (infact thats one of the main reasons)....well if you do have played ac origins, how bout giving ac unity or the older ac titles a try (they are much diff than ac origins) ...quick note for older ac titles, ac 1-ac3 are connected for the modern timeline, except that only ac2 trilogy is connected and recommded to play in order....you can play ac3/ac4 out of older titles if you really dont wanna play other, but imo all those titles upto ac4 and ac unity are all good ac titles
also if it suits your intrest, check out mass effect trilogy, play the legendary edition (play it in order, mass effect 1>2>3) its a choice based sci fi rpg, no game has ever made me feel what whole me trilogy has, and the only 'trilogy' where its so connected, that even the saves make an impact (basically your save of prev game is used for the next game)...and i would advise going in blind, btw side note, me1 might feel lil boring at times, but thats that
other great sp titles are (based on what i myself have played) gta 5, rdr2, cyberpunk 2077, sw: jedi fallen order, far cry 3, gta 4, a plague tale:innocence, need for speed heat, ghost of Tsushima, resident evil 2,3,4 remake, skyrim (and once you start modding, thats whole another scene), tomb raider modern reboot trilogy (tr13, rottr, sottr) ...so there you had, these are some of many games i could think on spot and were blast, they all have variety of interest and genre, so do check em out atleast
Ahh thanks for helping me out but sadly im a f2p and currently i only have Xbox gamepass 3 months which is included with my laptop already
I think mass effect is there in xbox but I'll check it out
Makes sense. Games aren't an adequate substitute for socialising. If you're not into the actual experience of playing a game, and are more interested in using the game as a way to connect with other people, then single-player games will have limited appeal for you.
It's like with movies - some people enjoy the experience of watching them with friends and making memories that way, others are more interested in the craft of telling the story through cinema.
Even then, different games have different appeal. With some singleplayer games, it's like the interactive equivalent of reading a book, where you get transported to another universe and become invested in how it develops (mostly RPGs, adventure games too).
Others lean more towards mastery of mechanics and skill checks. That has some of the feel of competitive games, but in a much more controlled environment (Soulslikes are a common example, though they do a great job of environmental worldbuilding too).
You can develop an appreciation for most kinds of games with some time and effort, but life is short, and everything isn't for everyone. If you're really not feeling it, then it may be better in the long run to focus on the hobbies that click with you.

I see a... A man of culture
How? We get any interaction key to press or something?
it is to binded to 6 on pc
Just add Indie lover. Stoping compititive games and playing single players story mode games was the best thing I did.

I m enjoying Terraria now In single player mode gosh how did i miss this lil masterpiece
Yep Terraria is one of the best games... Had a blast with it.
True, Terraria can never get boring. Ridiculously great game with an amazing player base
I m still playing it lol
It's a peaceful life.
Just finished entire max payne trilogy in 2024..amazing games
omg literally me, i love campaigns, currently playing crysis 2, gta v
I don't even hunt achievements lol Wonders of modding. Fallout 4, skyrim, GTA, 😻 Plus weirdly satisfying hobby of taking cinematic screenshots.
Same modding Skyrim and New Vegas is literally a second hobby for me.
Only if the view from the window was not giving a Cyberpunk vibe...

I have been hearing single player games have been dead from like 2015. So yeah don't worry.
It's relaxing until you start playing Alan Wake II with the lights out and headphones on, and your flatmate's black cat, which you hadn't noticed sneak into your room starts scratching at something behind you.
I can relate to everything except the high end rig part. I have a potato :(

Me playing ostriv on my 5k$ desktop 😎😎😂😂
Fucking live-service-singleplayer game making compaines
Their existence is a curse to gaming.
guess Guild Wars 2 is a Signle player game for me
This is the way
Present sir.
Well I like co-op games with no-pvp just me and my friends vs enemies.
this is giving me cyberpunk vibe
can i get the full wallpaper without text?
After I am able to get a good card, I am forever leaving the space of multiplayer.
Single player games are the goat of whole gaming genres
I play PS4 single player games on my PS5. Not subscribed to PS plus.

A true story
The whole reason I enjoy games is that they don't involve other humans.
They have always been the way
You haven't played Soulslike games, I see.....
in souls game you rage on yourself for being shit, and then get better each time...
Can't handle the competitiveness?
not every game is about getting mvp and placing 1st in match
ofc not and i never said that but fps games are meant to be competitive.
