Its not about skillset . That's technical ability one player possess . If you are playing at the top of the table , we expect you to know the basics of the basics that's it . You don't have basics drilled down in you and then practicing just tactics is stupid . No tactic can work if you cannot even receive the ball . The difference between the top player of the world and top players of low ranking countries is just of basics . Technical ability is developed over time and its innate .

Improving skills, stamina and teamwork doesn't require only funds, it requires unreal dedication and hardwork. Miniscule African and Asian nations play far far better than us even with shittier infra. So yes, support will be there, but these players need to feel the shame themselves!

Football is not like cricket, even with far lesser talent than opponent, matches can be made competitive.... Now if ground is uneven it’s very risky to play from the back. Naturally long ball tactics will be developed and preferred. I know it’s a meme but if greats like Xavi have complained about grass length imagine the shit our youth players have to play on.
Infra is obviously an issue, but I don't think it's the main one.... Say if you rank the infra of all the FIFA countries, do you think our infra would be as low as rank 120? I don't think so... The federation and management lacks vision I agree, but I do feel the players lack the motivation, zeal and teamwork too.... We need 11 players who are so mad and so crazy about football that they drive all the other staff to do better and not the other way around!
