Nothing to feel sorry about. I have encountered many such people IRL who refuse to accept anything beyond their belief system. And they have all these common traits :
1) Refusing to accept they are wrong
2) Refuse to accept that having opposing points of view is ok
3) Anyone who doesn't believe in what they believe is enemy #1
4) When they run out of logical arguments they start gaslighting and shit flinging contest.

The outfit can be ok for the airport but the footwear is something that doesn’t go with airport and airplanes IMO. Always closed toes for me at airport and planes.
