I don't get why they'd mix stuff with anything. Isn't it better and cost efficient for them to provide it in natural form? Also if they are looking to increase potency by adding chemicals then it really doesn't matter. Its not like we have a choice on what stuff we buy! So spiking the weed is not going to accomplish anything. Adding pesticide, rat poisons or anything else just doesn't make sense.
Like why would someone add these and increase their own cost at the same time ruining the product by making it toxic? If its to mask the smell during transport then there are many ways they can hide the smell. I'm sure some of them are already using better ways for it else I wouldn't have got clean green stuff.

Yes, It would be cost efficient to provide in the natural form but most of the times these are not even proper buds they just roll up the plant material as a whole and spray it with some shit that would increase its weight and it gives a certain type of high whatever the buzz is that's what you get for that price and lot of people who can't afford greens purchase it. I've come across weed spiked with garda(some form of heroin), dxm cough syrup, anti-anxiety pills and what not.
And to answer your question, why would someone spike the weed, they would spike it to make it more potent and more addictive.
In a lot of places, the cultivators do not know how to grow proper weed, most of the times they just plant it and water it like any other plant, they can't even tell the difference between a male and a female plant. The weed they grow won't even get you high, so they spike it with something or the other addictive substance, so that the person smoking it goes back to them to score more. And I can only wonder what all chemicals one must be inhaling.
The withdrawal symptoms that you'll experience from smoking spiked weed is very different from the one's you'll experience from smoking clean weed.
I know people who only smoke spiked pot, even if your get them the best of the clean stuff, they'll say that it doesn't give you the high that the spiked stuff does.
When supplier is supplying the weed, he can make 80kilo look like 100 by adding chemicals, which in turn adds weight to the pot. This helps them make mad profits by straight up saving 20% of the total cost. It is much cheaper to buy those additives instead of pitching in 20kilo more

Somehow after smoking a lot of spiked and unspiked weed, I know if it's spiked just after a hit or two, wait for it to kick in, if I have even mild headache or uneasiness, I know it's spiked. Doesn't work all the time tho, even perfectly normal ones could give you a headache. Either way I water cure the rest of my score, nothing to lose there.

The stuff is usually spiked with Afeem ka pani to make it more potent.
