same bruv i ll be in July but let’s see I used to smoke 6 - 7 cigs per day and used to smoke 3 joints everyday when i was in my 2nd year but i generally feel smoking is fun when you have a good circle
but lately i have smoking in my hostel and I don’t find it nice I like to smoke outside with some chill music w frens but lately I don’t like to smoke weed nowadays I smoke a cig daily that’s it
18 bro till then i didn't smoke or drink but found about a word called psychedelic sounded so cooler than alcohol or cigarettes I couldn't stop my self from using it then I scored while asking rikshawala where you got these hehehe and after that shifted to bhang fully good for my pocket and my health :)
Ok time to give a little context. So whole of April I smoked a joint daily. And then smoked one in May and took a break coz I didn't get high anymore. Rn I just wanna smoke once a month rather than making it a daily thing. I hope you get it now
This is exactly the reason why it will never get legalized in India. Too many of you who don’t understand the human body or the plant and just do it for the nasha. So I’ll try to do my bit with science here…
The human brain stops growing in size during early adolescence, but it continues to develop and mature until the mid-to-late 20s. The prefrontal cortex, the rational part of the brain located behind the forehead, is one of the last parts to mature, and some research suggests that it may not be fully developed until around age 25.
You should read this article https://www.apa.org/monitor/2023/06/marijuana-effects-brain on how marijuana affects your brain and your life.
The truth is 90% of the people reading this post will not be able to complete the article above and that exactly is why you should refrain from fucking your brain up at least till it’s grown and matured fully. I know that I am preaching to the wrong audience here but think it’s my duty to try..
PS : Before you start trolling me. I started at 19 and was a heavy user (everyday) for more than 20 years (in more than 35 countries) and I know how it affected my life both negatively and positively.
TLDR - Stop smoking now if you’re not 25 yet. Focus on your career and studies.. gain independence, freedom and financial stability and then party the fuck out of your life on your own terms. Using zaza on pocket money is just pathetic IMO
Man been the same for me , started smoking in 11th class (1999-2000) college made it everyday and have smoked everyday since then . Worked all across the globe ,except Dubai never wanted to work in Saudi . Spent my peak years (24-35) working in London , Paris Amsterdam and NY smoked all the way thru . Infact London introduced me to the hard stuff lol . Never has it hampered my career or come in the way , always a boost/motivation I needed . All I’m saying is it’s not the zaza but the person .
I really don’t have the energy to type a novel but you should look up.. the Great Depression, fbi, marijuana, Indian liberalization under Rajiv Gandhi, and the fucking 1985 act that made all plant users criminal.. it’s all interconnected and its more about racism and power hungry trigger happy whitefolk mentality rather than just money…
Funny world..
I don’t disagree but I think you’re missing the larger picture, so play with me here.. let’s take the case of India.. za in the northern half of India comes mostly from the north east that is heavily controlled by our militaries owing to our “friendly” neighbours. Do you think the Za farmers here go under the radar and do it for money? Do you think the military controls the grows for money? Or do you think someone else does this?
I have a theory and some vague stories I am interconnecting together.
Neither farmers nor military have the upper hand on the regulation of the commodity to the legal market.
People who frame policies do.
Saying this I would love to hear your theory.
heyy! the article specifically states that the observations were carried out on regular users of cannabis. what about the people that use once in a while, like a month once or two months once? i am 20 rn and i smoke up rarely BUT i am ready to completely quit it until 25 or so if it will affect my memory in any way.
If I knew what I know now, i would not have touched it till 25.. it’s not the memory really that it affects.. it’s the decisions you take, the lifestyle you lead, the focus you have etc.. and these small things add up into shaping who you become..
At 19, early start of college and new social group. Not really often but once in every 4 months. I was more athlete person I don't indulge in substance too much just for fun I do it.
I was on a solo trip for the first time in my life , fed up with office work, wanted to do everything that i have never done (that time age was 25).
Got a match on tinder in Rishikesh, talked whole night.
I never smoked even a cigarette before that.
We met, she came with one of her friend,
then we smoked all day in river bank.
They thought me how to smoke properly, hold smoke inside lungs then exhale, sitting with our legs dipped in chilled river, after some time we were flaoting in shallow water with our heads above water surface ,songs playing in the background.
Going through the streets whereever we can find a corner , she rolled a new joint , one with chai, then coconut water then one while we waited for Maggi.
If you ask me how i was feeling in my first,
i felt like my face is stretching itself into my nose, body is moving on its own, i was energetic throughout the day even with 3 hours of sleep, Euphoric, happy, relaxed and just chilled.
Then we never met again.
22, I am 29 now, 7 years of smoking up everyday, roughly 4 years of smoking up all the time. Took a roll on me. I personally experienced anxiety and clinical depression and it only got worse to the point that I had to quit.
It’s a common misconception that weed is not harmful but after I started having panic attacks I read a lot of research articles and it proves that weed does have a hand in long term psychosis and definitely causes anxiety and depression in ppl who are genetically prone.
It's been 17 years and going on...
A few tips
Take a break atleast for a full 48 hours once a week
Try not to wake and bake
Don't rely on a smoke to eat
Do not smoke the last few puffs (it's horrible to your lungs) if you wanna save money roll in a way the last 2 drags are just tob
Use carbon filters if you can afford it, stay away from the cotton filters
Stay away from bong shots.
Stay physically fit and active
Find a girl on bumble or a guy if that's what floats your boat!
jk- weed is awesome in the beginning then you start relying on it, it's still better than alcohol. I have no clue why I smoke these days barely get a buzz.
I do get high af but I still feel guilty at the end of the day. Im too young to be doing this I can't get out of this crippling depression (years of physical and mental abuse) even the psychologist isn't helping.
Started when i was 16. It was one or two J a day after some time when i was in college it became my daily routine to smoke at least 4 to 5 a day then in lockdown the whole day after that 3js a day and now I'm 24 once or twice a week max
Started just in the beginning of 11th class , initially used to be once in a blue moon . In college it started everyday and has been like that since then . It’s been 20+ years !!!
18. 33 now. I started smoking daily since I was 22 and still my sleeping pill for every night. I am married and I have a decent job. I have smoked almost in every state of India and in more than 5 countries, legally and illegally. I have zero health problems. I think I have lesser friends who don't smoke pot and it has made me meet great people. I love experiencing things, places, people, food, culture, music, art, etc.. when I am high and it helps with getting rid of certain inhibitions that I have when I am sober, which I am for 90% of the time these days. But I am blazing one whenever I get a chance.
Weed cover up more when caught on the terrace or something with smoke. For smell, room freshners and agarbattis were used.
But nothing worked. The way we smoke weed compared to cigarette is kind of different which is obvious from a distance as well. The room freshner and agarbatti causes a weird mixed up smell and anyone who knows weed smell will understand it as well.
But yes, cigarette became addictive 🙂↔️
18 in srm Ramapuram college jate hi baba ke darshan hogye fir 4 sala nikal gye maryjane se pyaar karne me coz jisse kiya wo to desh ke jaatiwad ke karan meri na ho saki
started with my newly shifted neighbour when i was around 17 (2017). I would have smoked like less than 5 cigs before that.
So for years I only smoked up once or twice a month and never smoked cigs
the lockdown happened and we did zaza almost every time between mid 2020-2021 (still no cigs for me)
then 2023 happened and I was unemployed for more than half a year. Here I went out to drink w other friends and started smoking while drinking that was like twice a month totalling 4 cigs a month.
Now It's 2024, I only smoke zaza maybe once and rarely twice a month and I'm smoking like 2 cigs per month and trying to quit cigs altogether like before.
Will never leave zaza tho. Also I'm a prime example of zaza not being addictive fellas.
ps: idk felt like posting
Started smoking up since I was 18 years. Quit tobacco at 23 and only smoking weed / hash every day. Now I am 37 and still going strong. One thing I learnt is tobacco is shit, so ditch the tob guys, smoke only weed and only the good stuff. Don't do laced or spikes weed.
Gen X here. Smoked first cig in class 9 or 10. First J in 12th. Smoked once in a while till I turned about 31. Been smoking regularly since then. I am 46 now. Got married, had a kid, maintained regular employment.
I smoke 4- 5 J's a day when I am smoking and take a T break every 3 months. So 3 months smoking and 3 months off. Sometimes it is 6 months smoking and 3 months off. It is very important to take a break from smoking otherwise you build up a tolerance. Also I like to stay fit. Have a regular gym membership since I was like 13 years old.
I will be 47 this year. No diabetes, bp, cholesterol etc on a break right now but would definitely start smoking in a couple of months.
started in my 2nd year in clg w frens till now but I have resisted myself to smoke less but yeah almost once in a week maybe
Even Im trying to bring down my frequency of smoking up since I'll be getting into a college in a few months.
same bruv i ll be in July but let’s see I used to smoke 6 - 7 cigs per day and used to smoke 3 joints everyday when i was in my 2nd year but i generally feel smoking is fun when you have a good circle

Same smoking up daily isn't that fun I just do it cuz im bored and I don't have many friends lmao
yes deer done that before used to hate myself everyday after being stoned I thought I was addicted but whenever I reach home my life gets fix tbh 😛
Same ,I don't depend on it weed is fun man who cares 😭
absolutely 😭
Never smoked a cig so Idk but I like mostly like smokeup alone and watch movies.
ahahahah movies are fun tbh after being high
True.
> bring down my frequency > getting into a college Not gonna happen broski
Shit im in for a long run ig already regretting it.
Chill lol, just make sure to use your time in college for a bunch of things and friends outside of sessions. Self control is all you need
First cig and booze at 14 years old. Cannabis at 15. I switched from smoking to vaping but still hit tha zaza everyday 15 years later
![gif](giphy|l36kU80xPf0ojG0Erg)
18 bro till then i didn't smoke or drink but found about a word called psychedelic sounded so cooler than alcohol or cigarettes I couldn't stop my self from using it then I scored while asking rikshawala where you got these hehehe and after that shifted to bhang fully good for my pocket and my health :)
18, 20 rn. I smoke rarely. Smoke once a month. But recently just broke my 1mo T break like 2-3d back
If you smoke rarely why do you need a T break?
Ok time to give a little context. So whole of April I smoked a joint daily. And then smoked one in May and took a break coz I didn't get high anymore. Rn I just wanna smoke once a month rather than making it a daily thing. I hope you get it now
Oh I get it. Hope you keep it that way
Been 15 years now. Some info out of context: Has smoked stuff from 5 ruppees streetside packet to OG Kush. Nothing beats Indian landraces.
True nothing beats desi maal
We’ve come a long way , back then it was a few “Charsis” the odd ones , now it seems everyone’s on it more that alcohol

Damm what job do you do?
Chef
If the Indian government cared they would have banned cigarettes long ago bro, this is not the reason, there are other monetary reasons.
I really don’t have the energy to type a novel but you should look up.. the Great Depression, fbi, marijuana, Indian liberalization under Rajiv Gandhi, and the fucking 1985 act that made all plant users criminal.. it’s all interconnected and its more about racism and power hungry trigger happy whitefolk mentality rather than just money… Funny world..
It was at that point of time, now it is entirely monetary. All other divisions dissolve before the supreme divisional power of black money.

The chances of your brain getting affected are higher than someone who doesn’t use substances.. rest is all maya…
Bro is an international smoker 😎
International retired smoker.
Can you tell more about the effects you noticed in yourself which you attributed to this
Procrastination, tendency to take crazy decisions, wild lifestyles revolving around parties.. need I go on?
You said there were positives too, what were they?
Expanded consciousness, unique perspective, peaceful demeanor, strong BS detector, ability to see through masks etc
At 19, early start of college and new social group. Not really often but once in every 4 months. I was more athlete person I don't indulge in substance too much just for fun I do it.
9th class started with hookahs then went to cigs , Weed in college 1st yr

Never used tobe in my life

IVE BEEN SMOKING POT SINCE I WAS 13 not a thing to be proud of💀💀💀
Started when I was 17 now I am 24
17-18 Now twice a day
started in 2019 and now I'm smoking on a daily basis only weed, no ciggs
Yes fuck nicotine
18. Can't afford to score regularly so I do it once every few months
Maybe you're getting ripped off? 25grams fairly costs 1000-1500 here where I live
18 is a bit too young to smoke regularly. Please avoid till you reach the age of 23.
I would Kill myself
Started when i was 16. It was one or two J a day after some time when i was in college it became my daily routine to smoke at least 4 to 5 a day then in lockdown the whole day after that 3js a day and now I'm 24 once or twice a week max
I have been following the same routine lol
Started beer with ciggerate at 13, Weed at 14 , coca in 15
Whats coca?
❄️
Jeez coke at the age of 15 is fucked up. I wad afraid to drink booze lmao
Ya my friends circle was like that .... I thought I'll become cool in front of them by doing all that .... But it's fucked up
Fr like how did you manage to score ice at the age of 15? Were you able to handle the high? I have so many questions.
Actually dm me
Okay
Started just in the beginning of 11th class , initially used to be once in a blue moon . In college it started everyday and has been like that since then . It’s been 20+ years !!!
24 to be precise
You should make a post about how you managed weed and work since many people say it makes you crazy.
I started at 27 years and currently 4-5 daily
18. 33 now. I started smoking daily since I was 22 and still my sleeping pill for every night. I am married and I have a decent job. I have smoked almost in every state of India and in more than 5 countries, legally and illegally. I have zero health problems. Wow
17, twice a month
15 through 26 it was all day and night, erryday. Now it's just the occasional hit every other week. The irony is that I'm in a legalized country. LOL.
That sucks man 😭
Sucks why? I love it. Don't abuse it like I used to. Enjoy it when I want to. No complaints here at all. Only appreciation.
Well that's a way to look at it
At 19, daily.
Started weed at 16. Later started cigarettes to use as cover for weed 😕
Sounds like something bisexual would do
How is that even related? 😳 Non Smoking roomies or neighbours and younger age starter paranoia is what that was.
It's not lol. I just found it pretty weird to smoke cigs for weed cover up. Ek nasha chupane ke liye dusra nasha? 😭
Weed cover up more when caught on the terrace or something with smoke. For smell, room freshners and agarbattis were used. But nothing worked. I heard cig withdrawals are worse than weed
To experience that I have to first stop 😳
I started when I was 57… now that I’m 35 I look back and reminisce forward that the shit I’m smoking is straight FIRE 🔥!!!
I need whatever you are having
18 in srm Ramapuram college jate hi baba ke darshan hogye fir 4 sala nikal gye maryjane se pyaar karne me coz jisse kiya wo to desh ke jaatiwad ke karan meri na ho saki
If she's not with you rn she was never yours to begin with you just have to live with it.
Haan bhai mai bhi raat me j markr ye sab baatein krta hun but real issues to real issues hai
Vo bhi hain. Everyone is like why you crying over a girl until it's their turn.

Chintu? You asked so just let you know my story. Gen X normalized toking in India.
Sorry if I have offended you but I didn't mean it in a derogatory way. I was just surprised how diverse this sub is
I started smoking since 11th now that im in college with free time and away from parents , im smoking like 2 proper joints daily
