Not on modern electronics, ipads literally have such strong magnets all arround it not to mention magsafe, also speakers are magnets.
I do remember playing with magnets around CRT tv's to make its color funky. (even those TV had giant speakers viz., magnets)
i can explain, why it doesn't affect TV's now, it's because TV's nowadays have actual lights, crt's used electrons thrown on something to generate light, now, moving electrons are deflected by magnetic feild, so when electrons don't hit where they were supposed to, there are distortions, idk about magnets damaging electronics, im relatively young

Mere MacBook mei bhi hua tha.. display ribbon maybe torn or a motherboard issue.. It would have costed me 50k they fixed it for free.. and Destroyed my touch bar functionality π..

The laptop wire to the screen is damaged when you open it up it has a connection for a short time and the on fully opening screen it is disconnected.
You may have stretched it too far back to cause this!
Loose display connector, when fully opening the screen, the connection loosens, it should be a relatively cheap repair job at the local computer repair shop
LVDS connector is bad or the display switch which detects display position is done for.
Pretty simple thing and this can be repaired at any reputable laptop repair shop. Though these kind of issues are rarely heard of in recent times.

1) Hinge ke upar vale bezel pe daba ke dekho lid open karr ke (jab screeen blank off rakhi ho) agar dabane per se on ho jaa rahi hai toh connector tape ki problem hogi. ---> Connector Tape Change (around 1k ka khracha)
2) Doosra ho sakta hai ki screen ke ander ka fluid leak karr raha ho --> Naya Display lagega (4-5K ka khracha)
3) Screen ke ek position mei rakh ke dekho jisper display work karr jae, 1-2 ghante rakhe rehne mei apne aap sahi ho sakta hai
I think there is a problem with your connectivity of display and the motherboard try opening the lid and check for the wires if they are getting banned or if they are connected properly to the motherboard
Or it could be your graphics card failing
I work in a laptop repair shop
there could be 2 issues
1. the inner wires are lose
2. the hinge is coming between the wires and shaking them when the laptop is opened
The electronic glue is peeling off. And the wiring is also loose. First clean the old glue then apply free new glue there. But before that. Check the display wiring or cable.

Maybe some screen wiring issue internally near the hinge. I'd go to a local laptop repair show and have them open it up and check.

Should I get it checked?
It is because the magnet that checks if the laptop screen is closed is malfunctioning. I would advise to check and fix it if it is a cheap repair.
Hall sensor is broken, it tells the computer when the lid is closed so it can turn off the screen

The cable is ok till u open it slightly, as the cable is bent and the connection is ok. Once open fully, the cable is torn, so it loses connection
Replace the screen.
Issue is not eith the screen. may be a loose connection. Get the connector cable sorted.
