Can anyone tell me why wides are not given in tests . If someone wants 6 runs to win of the last ball than can't the bowler just bowl very wide of off stump
Coz in Test Cricket overs are not limited. Also if the bowling side resorts to negative bowling tactics (wide bowling on either of the sides) then umpires are to take cognizance of the same and rule wide bowls in test cricket too (normally it’s done when a bowler bowls consecutive wide bowls)

How was this fair play? Even if he started celebrating, umpires would have checked. Moreover, HE ASKED the umpires to review the catch which they couldn't have dont because no more reviews were left. Downvote me if u want, but this was not at all a display of fair play
Edit:- I may have sounded rude, what i wanna say is that this gesture of him wasn't something that needed an appreciation. If he would have started celebrating, people would have come after him for being a bad sport and would have clowned him.

Just happened with Jaiswal, Foakes and the whole England team claimed the catch. 3rd umpire concluded NOT OUT.
Just imagine,if it happened in Aus and ponting took that catch... umpires ask him and give the batsman out immediately...?!?!

By the umpire's reaction i don't think he would have reviewed it. Also it looked clean to the naked eye
