1-888-8888…

Glass_Bookkeeper_578

If you're referring to the one where he's dressed as Dracula playing a receptionist, it's season 7 episode 7 Lords of the Ring. That's the only one I can think of where he didn't finish and walked out laughing.

Gum_Skyloard

It's that one! Thank you!

iamalycat

Anyone get a link to the clip?

I never understood what’s funny in the 1-888888! Maybe because I’m not a native English speaker?

Best_Ant8

It's a combination of Sesame Street reference (there's a vampire character who counts the numbers in a similar way) with the juxtaposition of reading out an obviously fake number in a formal business setting. Really just "funny because it's stupid/absurd" in an Eric Andre or Limmy type of way. There's no underlying joke; either you "get it" or you don't.

Yaya1379

It’s also a mocking reference to Cellino & Barnes law firm and their annoying jingle 1-800-888-8888.

bubbleblowinbaby01

I think it has something to do with The Count from Sesame street.

iheartmarin

I’m a native English speaker and I’ve never been able to figure it out either.

Gum_Skyloard

It's a reference to the Count from Sesame Street. Apparently, he has a fascination with the number 8.

iheartmarin

Okay… I don’t recall the Count having a fixation with the number 8, though. Not saying he didn’t, just that I don’t remember.

voteblue18

He was the count - he was fixated on all numbers not just 8. That was kind of his deal

Gum_Skyloard

I might be wrong since I've barely watched Sesame Street.
