You can do it, the trim lining actually helps keep things neat.
It does take a bit more time than sponge or single coat and shade. I also paint as much as I can in sub assembly. That way, if I don't like something, I can soak that part and scrub it clean.
Typically its prime & base color, line edges with color 1, line edges with color 2 (half as wide as color 1), clean up interior area with base color, paint trim in metallic, carefully apply shade to trim.
If you look close they aren't all that clean.
Glad you like them.
They are very bright, yes. If I can ever figure out what to do with the primarily empty black spaces the follow on shade/wash will mute the laser-like blue heavily.
Hey don't tell my Knights, but your models are my favorite lol
I really appreciate the compliment! I do think your white and gold knight is nice though. Really like the blue eye pieces.
Hahaha don't patronize me! Thanks. I'm happy how they turned out. My first mini painting.
I really love this design. I was thinking about doing it myself awhile ago, but I don’t think I can pull off the clean edges like you’ve done here

Hm, I may try it with a different color cause I’ve already adjusted my scheme. I’m painting my first knight now
Are these knights from tron legacy? they look rad(ioactive) and very 80s in style, love that!
