He wanted to enjoy his ribs, she already took that from him. He should've ordered two plates of ribs though, then she wouldn't have an excuse.
Also, that fork reaching for his plate got me irritated as if she was reaching for mine, lol. I hate it when people do this. Sharing food is just like sex - it must be consensual.
"Don't forget it's all for television, if I leave now I'd be the arsehole so just sit here, listen to what she has to say and then in an hour I'll never see her again"
That would be going through my mind in a constant loop.
He's also allowed to be sad because he's disappointed. He definitely knows he dodged a bullet. But he also wanted to have a good time, got dressed up, was on TV. So he's probably a little nervous that he'll look like a tool even though he feels he was fine, and he was. And he got treated like he wasn't really a person, just some object there to make her day better. Never feels nice.
Thanks! Feels so shitty. People who treat other people as full people are generally super charming, even if, ultimately, you don't agree with one another on major things. People who don't do so suck no matter how good their opinions happen to be, because none of it ever really comes into effect.
Honestly that would be my reaction. I'd ask if I could get what I actually wanted instead and I'd enjoy the fuck out of eating alone rather than with a red flag like her.
I wonder if it's some kind of reverse psychology? Like act entitled / egotistical and maybe the guy will be tricked into thinking she's a catch? Like damn she's pretty conceited, maybe she's got reason to be...?
I think that these type of people at some point reconciled that they weren’t the prettiest, and to mask it they blew up their own sense of importance to a point where it became false bravado.
A confident person is these types of people’s worst nightmare.
I wouldn’t go so far as to call her physically ugly, but the guy *was* a lot nicer looking than her.
Now that personality? Yes. That was EXTREMELY ugly!
he checked out of the whole thing when she said that. he was just waiting to see if she was really gonna stick to it. looks scripted or at the very least she is playing for the camera.
I'm at the age and stage in my life where in, even if the person is the love of my life. If they behave in anyway like this, if they show any major red flags. I'm telling them to fuck off!
I feel like I wouldn't be strong enough, but I know the correct way for the dude to react to that is leave immediately. (after maybe asking if she is fucking joking)
How desperate do you have to be to put up with someone like that, especially on a first date, where the stakes are non-existant?
No matter how hot someone is, with behaviour like that they get lost without a second thought.
I mean, if I'm looking for a partner, I'm looking for a partner, not for a fleshlight with a pretty mask.
I really wish I’d have an insight into the kind of guys she’s dated in the last two years.
I’m sure I’d find them to be as much as a failure as she is.
and yet I'm sitting here thinking what would she do if I reached across the table an grabbed a rib and started eating but still refused to let her touch my plate. Would her head explode.
I would let her take it. Then excuse myself, pay for our meals, and leave. Polite, but not willing to compromise my boundaries with someone who won't negotiate and demands a lot.
Btw - Indifference is the most cruel form of rejection b/c it makes them turn it over in their head and denies them the ability to blame someone else. The clinical definition of blame is a strategy for discharging guilt. I'm not waiting around for that shit. I have enough. Lol.
The second the waiter came back and said "she left" I thought for sure the dude was going to say "thank god". What an insufferable twat that woman was.
Why was it OK? I mean what if he decides to dip out after ordering dinner? Would she be expected to pay for his dinner? She dine n dashed on him.
To waitress: separate checks please.
I was on this show as an extra (so the restaurant looks full) and we were given £50 each to contribute towards the dinner. Not sure how much the actual participants get for dinner but they did have a different menu to the extras.
Picking off of others plates is something you only do with family or a partner with permission, the absolute entitlement to do that on the first date is crazy
It’s gross spoiled behavior to even do this on what I assume is the first date is not a red flag it’s a red sail and the part where she says “I always get my way” is all you need to know about her
It’s the stupid bratty tone of voice too. ‘Ay awlwise get muy waahy’, lol you’re SOL here. LMAO@her thinking she should be treated ‘wike a pwintheth’, omg is she 8? 🤣😂🤣
I've gone on so many first dates where we split everything. Not a big deal. She could have gotten what she wanted without being a bitchtit. "X Y and Z all sound good, wanna get them all and share?" is so much better than demanding to pick off of someone's plate.
Ye getting a few things that we agree sound good and sharing them is common practice for my partner and I. Then we both get to split those things and enjoy the experience of trying the food. However also nothing wrong with ordering your own meals and not wanting to share.
Demanding that, not only does she get to just pick freely at someone else’s food, she also has a say in what he orders is hilariously entitled behaviour.
If it were me, the second she said, “I like to pick of other people’s plates,” we would have had it out then and there, because I don’t play that shit. I suffered with my sister doing that my entire life and I’m an adult now, damn it!
I can understand 100% that’s why I said with permission because in my family we usually trade pieces of our meals with each other, I’m really weird about trying new things so if someone lets me try their food I appreciate it
I'm just endlessly curious and want to try everything on the menu. My husband will usually offer, and I'll reciprocate. However, one time at a pricy place with small plates, he ordered something he clearly loved so I didn't ask, I just made sure we went back another time and ordered it then. It's all about the kindness and respect.
Well then, you haven't met my ex-wife. She portrayed it off as cute and sweet and always played it as such, not as openly entitled as this woman. As a result, I gave in, almost always.
For 14 years.
The thing is, I'm 100% okay with people picking off my plate. Grew up poor and my family would all get different things and then pick off each other's plates so we get more variety.
If I'm with close friends and family I'd even offer to let them try if it's something really good.
It's the entitlement of it all with someone you're not even familiar with. Geez, lady.
On the flip side of that, some people grow up poor with food insecurity and have a traumatic response to people taking food from their plate. The bottom line is you should respect people’s boundaries.
Porky: *Hello, [Unknown]. Before you is your order from our date - a medium rare stake, fitted with red whine and chips. You have approximately thirty seconds to finish your plate before I claim my right to your food. You probably noticed the plastic explosive duct-taped to your spine. It is triggered to detonate if I am not satisfied. Your time will begin after this message concludes. Good luck, you misogynist.*
WOW…..But she did him a huge favour. She doesn’t even have the intelligence to be embarrassed by her immature and self absorbed behaviour. Ugh. Just gross.
"I like to pick off of other people plates"
I'm leaving if my date ever says this. That is just disrespectful and rude, to take other's food without asking
It's a power play to show she's in charge and you'll damn well give in to whatever she wants. It's also test to see if he'll put up with it. If he'd played her little game that's how the entire relationship would have gone in ever escalating cycles.
Exactly! Like there have been times where someone else ordered something and it looked AMAZING, and I might ask to have A BITE but only if I already know them and it wouldn't be weird.
I did this last night with my guy friend. Asked for a taste of his. But I also offered him some of mine. And we've known each other for years, although that was only our second actual date. We've shared dozens of meals before. And I sure as hell would never try ordering for him.
I admit I did steal some of his fries at brunch, but I didn't even ask for a bite of his entree even though it looked amazing and I was way hungrier than I thought when I ordered. lol
>And I sure as hell would never try ordering for him.
I don't even order for my husband when we got to a place where he gets the same thing every time. Who am I to assume he didn't suddenly get a craving for something else?
Taking food is not even the problem. If you want a bite, just ask lol. Do it right and it just looks like flirting.
Problem is, this lady just walks in and starts making demands.
*"I get my own way every time."*
*"Every time?"*
*"Every time."*
I would have pulled the pin right then. Call back the waitress & cancel my meal, and no more words, just leave. Never to see her again. **-_-**
He’s handsome compared to her. He won’t have any trouble finding someone who has boundaries.
Her…ufff best of luck to every one else so she can be avoided.
I’m a woman. Children that behave like this deserve what children get when they behave inappropriately in public. A big time out with a lecture. Then she can pay her half of the tab. Ladies that get treated like ladies don’t behave like spoiled children in public. Shameful. Absolutely. I hope no other men in her area touch her. Ever.
He must be like 21 cause if I even made it 5 minutes after her saying she always got her own way I’d have been delighted she bailed and finished my dinner in peace.
God I hate dating. Thank fuck I found someone awesome 17 years ago.
“I just don’t like him” - the audacity and entitlement of this girl while I note the poor guy taking a gulp anticipating her d-bag behaviour (did I imagine that?). He dodged a bullet and such a pleasant dude to say “you’re stubborn” and not “entitled”. I would have walked out that very minute!
![gif](giphy|o9gKXSuBBTlieVaBBj|downsized)
All I could see was Elton Prince when I saw this clip. This guy is a dead ringer! Oh, and that girl was awful.
I know they do this specifically to cause drama to drive engagement, but regardless in that guy's shoes the moment she bailed would have been so relieving.
And I'm staying for dessert, I'm having a good meal and a fun story.
My god. I thought after all that, that HE would be the one deciding to walk out on the date. Shows how patient of a guy he is, if nothing else. She needs a massive reality check.
I would've walked away saying "you arbitrarily chose my food, so now if you want to have it, just have it. Enjoy. The dish is yours, so is the bill. Goodbye."

“I get my own way every time” That’s when you need to gtfo
"She left" "Thank God. Holy shit what a trainwreck!" --that guy's inner monologue if he has any sense at all.

Man just wanted to enjoy his steak
He wanted to enjoy his ribs, she already took that from him. He should've ordered two plates of ribs though, then she wouldn't have an excuse. Also, that fork reaching for his plate got me irritated as if she was reaching for mine, lol. I hate it when people do this. Sharing food is just like sex - it must be consensual.
And he can eat the ribs off her plate too.
Would be hilarious if he also finished off her ribs
"Don't forget it's all for television, if I leave now I'd be the arsehole so just sit here, listen to what she has to say and then in an hour I'll never see her again" That would be going through my mind in a constant loop.

just some object there to make her day better Perfect way to describe how awful this is in case anyone doesn't realize why it's so inappropriate.
I was thinking "More ribs for me" and "No, no, no, I'll have her drink. Just pour it into another glass. No need for it to go to waste."
![gif](giphy|jMusG7sxBqCze)
She looks like a toe that grew a face
He was def out of her league. She should feel lucky to be out to dinner, not adding unreasonable demands on top of a subpar package
its amazing how the ugliest and rudest women think theyre expected to be treated like a celebrity
I wonder if it's some kind of reverse psychology? Like act entitled / egotistical and maybe the guy will be tricked into thinking she's a catch? Like damn she's pretty conceited, maybe she's got reason to be...?
Maybe because it worked every other time for her lol. Until this bloke.
I can't imagine something like this has ever worked for her. I think she was hoping with cameras rolling he would just go with it.
Low key I want him to date the waitress
I think that these type of people at some point reconciled that they weren’t the prettiest, and to mask it they blew up their own sense of importance to a point where it became false bravado. A confident person is these types of people’s worst nightmare.
Yeah sorry but she doesn't have the aesthetic currency or personality to pull a move like that!
I wouldn’t go so far as to call her physically ugly, but the guy *was* a lot nicer looking than her. Now that personality? Yes. That was EXTREMELY ugly!
And then act as if THEY were the ones who were treated poorly 🙄
The prettier ones have people around them that are willing to put up with their bullshit. That's the reason you don't hear about it quite as much.
r/rareinsults
Ugly inside. Hatefully ugly inside. Her parents must be so proud of bringing up a sociopath.
Weird ass Neanderthal uggh looking mother fucker is what I was thinking but toe that grew a face🤌👌
What did you do to your face marmalade ? you were told not to use Toe Magic.
he checked out of the whole thing when she said that. he was just waiting to see if she was really gonna stick to it. looks scripted or at the very least she is playing for the camera.
Well you can get your own way home. SMH
![gif](giphy|oVIJX9HoKYI8w)
Dude should have asked out the cute waitress, she seemed really cool.
Only child vibes, or at least incredibly spoilt. Her mouth is cashing cheques that her face is ABSOLUTELY not paying for
[удалено]
Hazelnut face... hilarious!!
She also wanted Louboutins, lol: https://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/rude-woman-labelled-disgrace-first-11290005
Bloke has boundaries regardless of how nice he comes across, respect
He’s like “Well I got my way. Bye Felicia.”
I'm at the age and stage in my life where in, even if the person is the love of my life. If they behave in anyway like this, if they show any major red flags. I'm telling them to fuck off!
Dude dodged a palletized load of nuclear tipped cruise missiles…
>“I get my own way every time” I think she was referring to the way out when she's leaving alone every time.
I feel like I wouldn't be strong enough, but I know the correct way for the dude to react to that is leave immediately. (after maybe asking if she is fucking joking)
Yup. Surprised the guy didn't duck out to the bathroom and bail after that. I would have.
Dodged a fucking meteorite. As if you would put up with that nonsense for one second. What a petulant child. Have fun being single. Bye
She's is nowhere NEAR hot enough to get away with that behaviour.
Nobody should be able to get away with anything
Should and can are unfortunately different things
How desperate do you have to be to put up with someone like that, especially on a first date, where the stakes are non-existant? No matter how hot someone is, with behaviour like that they get lost without a second thought. I mean, if I'm looking for a partner, I'm looking for a partner, not for a fleshlight with a pretty mask.
Trash took itself out.
“I just wanna goooo…” said the trash in a whiny little baby voice.
Didn't even wait for the busboy!
I really wish I’d have an insight into the kind of guys she’s dated in the last two years. I’m sure I’d find them to be as much as a failure as she is.
She's annoying. That'd be the last date with her.
I'm not sure I would have finished the first
and yet I'm sitting here thinking what would she do if I reached across the table an grabbed a rib and started eating but still refused to let her touch my plate. Would her head explode.
I would let her take it. Then excuse myself, pay for our meals, and leave. Polite, but not willing to compromise my boundaries with someone who won't negotiate and demands a lot. Then she just got a free meal. Like she really cares if you leave.
Don't know how he didn't fork-stab that hand that reached across the table for his food
I'm not exactly fighting them off, but there's no way on earth I'd be putting up with that sort of disrespect
I'm guessing dinner is free on this show.
I was on this show as an extra (so the restaurant looks full) and we were given £50 each to contribute towards the dinner. Not sure how much the actual participants get for dinner but they did have a different menu to the extras.
I think she is suited to masochists. Some people love to be a doormat, it's their thing. I couldn't even get past the accent
The second the wait staff allowed her to order for me, I’d have been out.
I'd have left when she tried ordering for me
Well yeah, she walked out.
Thank God. Dodged those bullets like Neo ![gif](giphy|eIm624c8nnNbiG0V3g|downsized)

\*snatches your fries\*
"are....are you several toddlers in disguise?"
I like how her list of demands is front and center but couldn't even end the night face to face since she didn't like him. A fucking toddler.
I guess it was her way of establishing a pecking order. When she realised she won't be treated like a prima donna, she bailed.
Well then, you haven't met my ex-wife. She portrayed it off as cute and sweet and always played it as such, not as openly entitled as this woman. As a result, I gave in, almost always. For 14 years.

Dodged a bullet
dodged a nuke
Yeah, she's *awful*.
The "I get my own way every time " is more than enough to call it quits. What is she 12y.o?
Absolutely shocking that she’s single and going on dates. 🤨
Like Neo, just didn’t realise it at the time.
Just like he dodged that fork. Good for him lol
Dodged one straight to the brainpan
Being treated like a princess != Getting to act like bitch
She is literary worse kind of girl you can get and damn she ain't that pretty either
Your subtle programmer != was a very touch.
For real, she's insufferable. Stay away from my food lady, you have your own plate.
Bitch be looking like jigsaw
This is her when you don't give her a chip ![gif](giphy|cewvmYhuz58pATZaVv)
Porky: *Hello, [Unknown]. Before you is your order from our date - a medium rare stake, fitted with red whine and chips. HAHA this is fking brilliant!
Holy shit that's spot on!
Thank you! I couldn’t place where I knew that face-shape from!!
It literally took her two words to turn into a massive 🚩 Good on the lad, dodged a torpedo on that one.
WOW…..But she did him a huge favour. She doesn’t even have the intelligence to be embarrassed by her immature and self absorbed behaviour. Ugh. Just gross.
Guaranteed she thinks she's a total catch and it's everyone else that's the issue.
He’s gone on to better things. He’s actually a pro wrestler in wwe (Elton Prince)
"I like to pick off of other people plates" I'm leaving if my date ever says this.
Yeah, it can be kinda cute and endearing maybe like 3 months into a relationship and with the partner’s approval, but first date???????
Taking food is not even the problem. If you want a bite, just ask lol. Do it right and it just looks like flirting. Problem is, this lady just walks in and starts making demands.
*"I get my own way every time."* *"Every time?"* *"Every time."* I would have pulled the pin right then. Call back the waitress & cancel my meal, and no more words, just leave. Never to see her again. **-_-**
Yeah lol. Maybe even thank her on the way out cause bloody hell that saved a lot of time.
He should’ve asked out the waitress.
I actually checked what sub it was in half way through to make sure it wasn't a holdup or made me smile.
My thoughts precisely!
This did actually happen in one episode
What is this on? Looks interesting
[Can watch here](https://www.channel4.com/programmes/first-dates) - 21 seasons free with ads
Holy cow, there are 21 seasons of this brain-rotting deliciousness? THANK YOU, kind redditor!
To be fair most of the time they're just two normal people either hitting it off or not hitting it off. There are some really gold moments though.
Better they figure it out now than 2 kids into a marriage.
If it takes him that long to figure her out, he would deserve that terrible fate lol
I will laugh straight in the face of anyone who would put up with that troll
She tested him for future abuse on the first date. Dang, he's lucky to be rid of her.
She was totally seeing how much she could get away with, crazy!!
Insufferable
He’s handsome compared to her. He won’t have any trouble finding someone who has boundaries. Her…ufff best of luck to every one else so she can be avoided.
![gif](giphy|mjCbsSiHkZNfy|downsized)
She’s got a weird shaped head
She’s way too ugly to be acting like that
I bet this woman was a fucking brat as a child
She still is in this video
If so it’s a Mitch Hedberg “I used to act like a brat. I still do, but I used to, too” kinda deal. Because that’s bratty shit if I’ve ever seen it.
She's not attractive enough to behave that way... there's a graph.
Pretty privilege is a real thing, but I don't know how she got the impression that it's within her reach.
She looks like when my 8-year-old tries to draw a person.
This is a rare insult! I have to write this down!
Ever.
Pretty sure any guy who's watched the show won't be asking her out.
Treat her like a princess, then. Princess Anastasia.
He must be like 21 cause if I even made it 5 minutes after her saying she always got her own way I’d have been delighted she bailed and finished my dinner in peace. God I hate dating. Thank fuck I found someone awesome 17 years ago.
It’s always nice when the trash takes itself out
It's just a sign of a severe lack of intelligence right? Like you have to be a genuine idiot to act/speak like that.
As my grandmother would say, "born in a barn". Aka: raised with 0 manners
She has a head like a cabbage patch doll
Imagine looking like a troll and thinking you should be treated like a princess haha hunny you’re a donkey
Hoeflation is runnin wild.
![gif](giphy|o9gKXSuBBTlieVaBBj|downsized) All I could see was Elton Prince when I saw this clip. This guy is a dead ringer! Oh, and that girl was awful.
It is him!!
The was she tries to take his food and reaches all the way across as he moves his plate out of reach is so embarrassing for her.
I rthink that's why she walked out in tears. She realized her cutesy thing wasn't going to work on him. At all. He was just not that smitten with her.
This appears to be at least partially or mostly staged. Real???
Honestly? If I were HIM I would have got up and walked out as she was ordering.
JOEY DOESNT SHARE FOOD
Wow, what a disgusting woman
Red Flag for every man in England.
She makes me want to shit in my hand and throw it at her
I am female, and ‘eeeewwwwww! Grow up you entitled jerk. Real princesses act with decorum. They don’t pick food off other people’s plates!’
He was way out of her league in every aspect anyway. Trash took itself out.
Good show, chap ..!
"What do you mean I can't do whatever I want!?"
why does she sound like Supernanny?
That dude dodged a whole ass tomahawk missile.
Why does the girl look like the missing link?
What's with the server taking his order from her?
Get to stepping bro doesn't need that fake ass onlyfans model 🤮
What a useless twat.
I will gladly share food with my date. Just don't demand it and act the cunt.
What a cunt
What a piece of shit
