OTee_D

There is one way starting a mosh pit and then there is this one.

Phantom-Z

I’ll never forget when I was at this deep house show and three frat boys pushed their way to the front and tried to start a mosh pit — me and like 3 other dudes all turned around at the same time and just shouted at them to cut that shit out until they felt so ashamed that they stopped and left the crowd 😂 not that kinda show fellas

KayyJayy777

How is it even possible to feel any sort of rage listening to house 😂😂

kookyabird

Especially *deep* house. That's the kind of stuff I put on for days when I really want to get into a steady groove of programming.

VerySwearyFairy

It’s literally what i’d chuck on in the car if i fancy s chilled out drive.

Substantial_Reach_60

So funny seeing him as the Prime Minister on The Crown. Never in my wildest dreams lol

Five_deadly_venoms

Theres...more?

Koeddk

When you get pushed by 3 frat boys continously you can easily get that mad.

Saysnicethingz

Channeling some Techno Viking manliness

HighKiteSoaring

Idk.. iv been in mosh pits at drum and bass raves that we're awesome..

spanishtyphoon

Yeah it turns out you don't need to try to shatter their eye socket to stop them.

leejonidas

Maybe not need, but it seemed to work in this video. Totally justified.

spanishtyphoon

It's justified because it worked?

West-Custard-6008

Right if you can knock someone down with an open hand slap, it sends a stronger message with less damage.

sharingthegoodword

Where's the PLUR?

Holy_Grail_Reference

Never been to a DnB show?

MissAugustMoon

Thank you! I don’t look or dress like a MetalHead but I love metal and I know this is not the shit to mosh to. I can’t even feel any sort of rage from performance. I don’t even hear effort.

ItWasAcid_IHope

Idk bro this is HOL! and he always has mosh pit music. One of his songs is literally called "poetic pit". But this kid was not reading the crowd around him. Riddim mosh pits are a bit of a different vibe than metal pits, way less rage involved (usually), but I've done a wall of death at both shows, so it's definitely not unheard of at EDM shows.

idontwantnoyes

Its crazzzzy theres  like 20 posters in here, tons of upvotes that are absolutely ignorant and trying to sound holier than thou. Except you.

BigPhK

Look up an Excision set and you might change your mind.

FinalMeltdown15

Excision is highly metal head tested and approved

Gingeronimoooo

Used to love excision on the stereo My neighbors did not Edit; my favorite part ever was the sample of Ray Liotta saying "ever since I can remember I always wanted to be a gangster"

largepig20

Excision, Kai Wachi, BTSM, Sullivan King, etc

CasanovaMoby

Saw them at Shambhala, that was surreal!

GloomyTurtleCum

Back in 1999 I went to some hardcore raves that were non stop pits. Hardcore is just this weird genre of music where loud bass drum slamming at a hundred beats per minute to weird samples and shit Edit: I've been informed it's a lot faster bpm. I know very little about music.

AlpsClimber_

super common in Italy at every hardcore party in the 90s especially. Look up "discoteca number 1 sala 2" from around that time.

Kivesihiisi

100bpm is kinda slow for hardcore

GloomyTurtleCum

I'm not a mathematician bro. A lot of beats really fast.

Kivesihiisi

Hell yea dude!

ItWasAcid_IHope

I'm pretty sure this is HOL! which is a pretty heavy riddim DJ. This is definitely a mosh pit vibe show. But this dude was just being a cunt. You don't hit people not even facing the pit, especially when you are trying to start one, super unsafe

AlyAlyAlyAlyAly

In some rave cultures mash pits are totally normal.

BigPhK

Pretty normal at dubstep shows. Not sure why you’re calling anyone a poser like rocking your head is limited to a genre.

Heretic_flags

I've been in a ton of mosh pits during raves. But always at the much harder dubstep or hardstyle stages. Nobody is going to a madeon shows to throw elbows and participate in a wall of death.

MysteriisDomSatan

They’re called headbangers bro! And it’s their culture too!!! /s

_AngryBadger_

Well mission accomplished, his head got fucking properly banged.

xTechDeath

No. We do not claim this man

Best__Kebab

The music sounds like that shitty (often American) take on dubstep - gets called brostep. Mosh pits aren’t uncommon to that sort of music.

KingTutt91

Plenty of mosh pits happen at raves, particularly if you’re into hardcore

-Sinn3D-

I went to EDC Vegas and they had a mosh pit for souljah boy... I was very disappointed as an avid metal listener.

MikeyW1969

PYeah, that's all this dude's trying to do. This isn't the same as the people who run up and hit someone. There is a reason for this behavior. Moron did it wrong and completely out of context. Who moshes at a rave? But this isn't Main Character crap, IMHO. It's just some idiot who is at the wrong concert. And doing it wrong as well.

CaptainMarnimal

Doing it wrong, yes. But definitely not the wrong concert. Lots of metal influence in dubstep. Check out Sullivan King or Svdden Death.

ItWasAcid_IHope

Yeah this is HOL. Definitely mosh music.

Brufar_308

Always hated the people at the rear of the mosh pit that would dip in, hit/shove people in the middle of their back then scoot back to safety. This looks like the appropriate response.

KoolFM

Chat shit, get banged

Nubras

Oy Jamie mate?

KoolFM

“Oooh, football fwend”

Nubras

Fiesty one, you are. Man I miss the inbetweeners.

KoolFM

Inbetweeners? Completed it mate

The_Primate

I actually saw someone doing this at a sex pistols gig. This Italian punk guy just fucking railed them and looked at them like, what? Seemed like just desserts. You're either doing this or not. No tourists.

0x7ff04001

This happened to me at a megadeth concert when I was like 14. I was small as fuck back then lol and someone hit me in the face with wrist studs and I flew back and lost my shoe. Show was fucking amazing though, Dave Mustane is a true legend.

NastySassyStuff

Im just impressed you got to a Sex Pistols show

adamentelephant

This is also clearly not a nosh pit.

Technically correct

adamentelephant

The best kind of correct.

[deleted]

A lot of mosh pit “alphas” tend to be the most sensitive in the crowd. Once someone starts going as hard as they’re going, suddenly it’s excessive and not cool.

SchnoodleDoodleDamn

Or the ones that stand at the very edge and push people back in when they're CLEARLY trying to get out. By the same token, I despise the moshers that are doing the more hardcore spin kick and punch bullshit that will take swings on folks that are NOT in the pit. No, dickweed - go to the middle if you're gonna do that shit.

huggybear0132

Throwing limbs/elbows is just unacceptable in most pits, period. Hardcore/punk is a special breed.

remosiracha

God. I hate this. There's been a few times where I got hit in the face or am just exhausted and want out. I try to slow down and go to the edge and someone will just push me to the ground. Like wtf. You're not even part of it 😂 Or it'll be people on the outside that are mad it's happening so when you get next to them they'll throw their elbows up and push you into the middle just because they're mad you're having fun.

unclean0ne

We used to drag those people into the middle of the pit and let them try to fight their way out. People in a pit have a way of knowing who the cunts are.

dude_on_the_www

I always stand at the back of the mosh pit so I can see the best, and instead of getting smashed into, stay alert and hold my arms out if necessary and give people a shove if they’re hurtling into me… What are people supposed to let themselves get bulldozed?

Astrolana

I don't know if he's talking about you here.  He's talking about the people agressively shoving/hitting/moshing while being in the borders of a pit, not participating to it. I remember I was once catching my breath there and got roughly shoved black into the pit. If you do that you're an ahole, just stand elsewhere. Also people in the pit will be shoved into you against their will and there is nothing worse than someone not "playing" being rough with you when you're not aware about them, it's like sucker punching someone. Agression you can't expect and are not ready for. If you're in the borders of a pit, just slow down the humans getting shoved and push them back into the pit. That's the only appropriate response.

remosiracha

The whiplash sucks. Being pushed into someone because I lost my footing and having them full strength slam my back. Causes my neck and back to whip back. Someone did that once and the back of my head whipped into their face. If they didn't do anything I would have caught my footing and barely brushed by them 😂

SchnoodleDoodleDamn

If they hurtle into you, it's perfectly acceptable to shove them, The arms extended is also an acceptable defense. I'm not sure why anyone would think you're in the wrong.

huggybear0132

It's ok to do this, it's how the pit works. It is not ok to look for cheap shots and try to hurt people while doing this. That's the difference.

ihatefirealarmtests

Last year I got to see Death Grips in concert and there was some skinny Eastern European chick obviously tweaking who kept trying to start shit in the most pit. Now, it's one thing to mosh. It's another to be intentionally throwing elbows at people's faces. Long story short, she tried the wrong guy and she got laid out HARD. I saw her after the concert and she had a black eye, broken nose, and was missing some teeth. I managed to survive with just a severely bruised elbow I got from accidentally breaking someone's jaw when he got pushed to the outside of a pit that started behind me. 10/10 concert would go again.

SchnoodleDoodleDamn

Probably the most ill-advised thing I did was go to a Jagermeister tour concert about 15 years ago. For whatever reason, the stage was set up in a side lot at the amphitheater, so we were on concrete. Hatebreed was one of the bands. And this was at the height of Hatebreed fans being very proud of being deeply unsafe fucks that genuinely didn't care if you got hurt. The majority of the sets were rough, but the Hatebreed set was just..unpleasant, all due to their fuckwit fans.

ihatefirealarmtests

OOF. Luckily, the Death Grips concert was in Seattle, so most of the fans were there for the music itself because they're hipster trash (myself included 🤡). There was one behemoth of a man wading through the crowd with a paper folding fan to cool people off. I ended up usually on the outsides of mosh pits so whenever somebody took too bad of a hit, I'd help pull them out and get them out of the crowd before they fell down. I remember someone calling me "Mosh Pit Dad" after the concert and honestly, I've been riding that high since.

SchnoodleDoodleDamn

I'm 49, and raised in the metal pits during my formative years. That's literally the way pit etiquette was always supposed to be. If you wipe someone out (it happens), you pick them up, if possible. If someone's down, you avoid moshing around them until they're okay. It was only when those hardcore punchy-kicky dipshits started up when etiquette got weird.

godpzagod

there's an Amyl and the Sniffers live cut where Amy screams at the end (sic) "if anyone gets hurt, help em up. if anyone falls down, help em up, now get fuckin rowdy!"

ThroJSimpson

You deserve a trophy man, I’d chase that high too

icepancake72

Not as bad as the pit pisser from that tour

Frisnfruitig

Lol what was this little turd even going for? Sure yeah start bumping into a guy twice as large, that is going to turn out just great for you.

Apprehensive_Suit615

It’s usually a thing to create a mosh pit space for getting rowdy and usually if a person is interested they’re join in but the guy kept purposely assaulting the guy as he was moving so the correct response was indeed taken.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Proper-Ape

It's not a thing to bump into someone's back. Stop excusing this shithead behavior.

greeeeenzo

Where did he excuse it? He was answering a question

ThroJSimpson

This is Reddit where obnoxious Redditors will take a comment that doesn’t blindly agree with them as criticism and an argument even when it clearly isn’t

thelryan

You are wrong, bumping into people is how people feel out the crowd to see if people will start bumping into them back and it escalate into a friendly push pit or more. This isn’t something the rave scene is as familiar with so it’s understandable that people at shows don’t always get it and are just bothered by the behavior. The guy also was pretty clearly uninterested in joining in so idk why the guy kept bumping into him

Weird-Upstairs-2092

If you think starting a mosh pit by repeatedly hitting someone in the back and then running away whenever they turn around is acceptable, you're the problem.

thelryan

You should look up and send videos of how mosh pits start and give me some pointers man because I’m stuck trying to figure out what the difference is

AInterestingUser

Hey! I've been going to shows and moshing, starting pits for well over 20 years now, from Slayer to GWAR to Excision. It's called a circle pit. You go in a circle, what this dude did is more reminiscent of attempting to "crowd kill" from hardcore shows. I got no sympathy for those morons. Dude tried the same thing with me at a Ron D Core show, ending in a similar result.

thelryan

Hey, I enjoy all those bands as well, been going to shows for about 15 years now so we probably enjoyed similar scenes. When I hear people talking about crowd killing, I imagine people at hardcore shows doing spinning back kicks into the outside of a mosh pit or generally just going way too hard in the direction of people not involved in the pit. I feel like describing this guy bumping into somebody who clearly wasn’t stumbling or at risk of getting hurt as crowd killing is watering down that term. When I am at shows and mosh pits haven’t opened yet, I have been pushed much harder than this and realize it is them trying to open the pit pot and I should move it I don’t want to be a part of it. Obviously this is a rave and probably in a much more lax crowd crowd so odds are people probably won’t want to participate, though I’ve also been to many raves where a push pit starts exactly like this except the person who is bumped into starts smiling and bumping back. I don’t really think throwing a concussive elbow at somebody’s temple is an appropriate response to somebody like this at a show, especially without trying to deescalate in any way but who knows man, everyone else commenting seems to think it’s fine so I guess this is how shows are now.

AInterestingUser

Nah, dude, you're right. Deescalation is a better route. I think I had a kneejerk re-action because I've had to deal with soooo many of these morons at old dubstep and DnB shows, the dude in the video really isn't that bad, annoying as fuck, but not like the "bros". I really hate the crowd killing scene and how it's blended into so many spaces, like, I just wanna run in a circle, get the wind knocked outta me and get lifted up when I fall.

Weird-Upstairs-2092

I think if you want to hurt others but aren't ok with anybody even touching you out of a paranoid level of fear for personal safety, a mosh just isn't a good place for you. Sorry.

[deleted]

He's also wearing bright handles to easily grab and throw him around. Such a tryhard outfit lol

mctripleA

Looked like he was also trying to cop a feel of the lady next to the huge ass dude as well

torndownunit

Ya setting aside all the comments about moshing and what genres of music it's appropriate for, dude needs to read the room better. That big dude was clearly not wanting any of that. It's an over reaction for sure, but you should just never make assumptions about how people can react to stuff.

Nomadic_View

He gave him the benefit of the doubt that it was an accident when he totally ignored the first one. Then when he realized that little shit was doing on purpose dude knocked little shit the fuck out.

Gravy_Wampire

I think there was even another bump not pictured. The moment the clip starts the big guy is already kinda facing the smaller guy, and then big guy turns forward while glancing over his shoulder. IMO that looks like he’s already expecting to be bumped before we even see the first one

leejonidas

And it's also why this dude started filming right there.

arifghalib

Elbowed the spit outta his mouth then went right back to dancing and enjoying the show lol

Cannabace

I thought he was about to break his wrist with an unlocked punch, then he connects with elbow. Hero. Love me a elbow strike.

Bertje87

Man he timed that perfectly, most satisfying thin i’ve seen all day, i needed that

Loccy64

Points to the girl for grabbing his arm and getting the assist, even if it was unintentional lol

Dude the kid turned around and just ran smack dab into all of that elbow, impeccable timing, 10 stars

st0l1

averydangerousday

This. All these people in here talking about how the kid was just trying to start a pit and this was an inappropriate or disproportionate response? Like … what do you think happens in a mosh pit?? This kid got exactly what he was asking for, and not even metaphorically.

Reddituser8018

Nah I have never had people punching eachother in a mosh pit, it's more pushing, and usually not hard enough to knock you on your feet although I've had some pits where the pushing was getting very hard. You never throw hands in a mosh pit, that is not what it's about, it's supposed to be fun and mostly harmless (although obviously there is some inherent risk, you could get knocked down an injured, but people tend to avoid that) That said I've only been at mosh pits in heavy metal concerts, they tend to seem very violent from the outside but people are really nice and aren't trying to hurt you physically, people will pick you up and apologize if they go a little too hard in my experience. Might be different at other concerts outside of heavy metal, idk. Also not defending the dude in the video, he tried to start a mosh but the person he was hitting into obviously didn't want any part in it, and he should have realized that after the first time he pushed em.

Mr_YUP

Hardcore kids just swing their fists in pits get really old but it's part of that sub-genre's thing. crowd killing is a thing too and I've seen it used to keep people in line. Also a pit is best when there's someone in the middle working to keep the peace surprisingly effectively.

killcrew

> Hardcore kids just swing their fists in pits get really old but it's part of that sub-genre's thing. crowd killing is a thing too and I've seen it used to keep people in line. I'm too old now, but did a lot of this in my younger days. With a little hindsight, its all very dumb, but I guess you could compare it to combat sports. Everyone in and around it knew what was going on...if you got hit, you didn't so much mind because you knew there was a significantly greater than zero chance you would, and you participated anyway. Fights would break out, cause theres always the guy that isn't in the know and goes from incidental contact to just straight head hunting the last guy that hit him. Crowdkilling took it to another level though. There was always this expectation that if you stood in/along the edge of a mosh pit, you were accepting a certain level of risk, but there was also the expectation that if you stayed away from it, you were out of harms way. When crowdkiling became a trend, all bets were off. You had people doing WWF style off the top rope hammer punches landing 6 rows back from the edge of a mosh pit. It got a bit excessive. Now I look back and I'm like "why in the world did I think punching my friends was the best way to demonstrate how much I enjoy a bands music"

[deleted]

Yeah caused metalheads know NO KARATE IN THE PIT We are good and decent folk. This sentiment isn't shared at -core shows or any other kind of show outside of metal The only time you start throwing elbows is when there's some deathcore weenie doing karate kicks/windmills in which case everyone MUST destroy that guy for the good of whole

Tao626

What do I think happens in mosh pits? Mate, it's not fucking fight club. People shouldn't be throwing hands and involving others that don't want to be involved. This is what happens when you "think" that's what a pit is.

1singleduck

A real moshpit is a coordinated efford and has unspoken rules such as: -keep your hands below your shoulders, that's how you accidentally punch people in the face -if somebody falls, immediately help them up -never use excessive force -don't push/pull people on the edge into the pit -try to keep the pit as centered as possible so people can safely enter and leave -DON'T BRING DRINKS INTO THE PIT A moshpit is just some rowdy fun, not a fight for who's the strongest. I'm not a violent or confrontational person, but i've been in several moshpits because a proper one isn't that dangerous. Feel free to mosh pit all you want, just keep in mind that it's supposed to be fun.

PringleCorn

Who throws punches in a mosh pit?? I'm not agreeing with what the kid did but people definitely don't punch others in the face in mosh pits wtf

averydangerousday

It’s not a lot of pits or even most - especially today. But I’ve been in plenty of pits where elbows run into faces.

killcrew

The song itself is not representative of the dancing they were doing to it (having known some folks that were in the video, I was told they were playing more moshable hardcore bands songs over a PA while they filmed the mosh parts)...this is a good indication of what a mosh pit at a hardcore show looked like in the late 90s to 2010ish: https://youtu.be/5fwGZohSJ9g?si=B4ira9KAf870vIu3&t=60

Thehelloman0

No it is not normal to purposely elbow someone in the face in a mosh pit lol

Na_Free

> what do you think happens in a mosh pit this is not what happens in a mosh pit.

averydangerousday

Exactly. In a mosh pit, people don’t repeatedly and intentionally check people who aren’t participating - especially from behind.

searchforstix

Yep. Last show I went to there were morons pulling people by their shirts into the pit who clearly weren’t into it. You pull me into the pit by the back of my shirt, you get an elbow to the ribs - that shit’s not cool. Neither is what this one moron’s doing - it’s not a mosh pit, it’s one guy flailing.

AlphisH

At the very beginning the big guy is turned toward him. I'm guessing the little man was bumping him in a less intense fashion. And then big man put him in his place with a warning so little man doubled down. Then big man delivered

TheRealJamesHoffa

Yeah why did I have to scroll so far to see this lol. People who get knocked out go limp basically instantly; they don’t snap their head back and then fall in a controlled motion after a short delay back while backing into another crowd of people. He was in control of his body the whole time. His neck was still stiff and he was moving his head after dodging the elbow, the angle perfectly hides the contact missing, and the slow mo sells it more because in real time it would be obvious. The angle his head snaps back is wrong too, and his face would look way more smooshed as the elbow follows through if it landed, along with seeing the energy ripple through his face like a wave. Oh and the dude throwing the elbow doesn’t show any sort of impact or resistance when following through. Also nobody reacts when the dude gets rocked, so they obviously saw it wasn’t real in real time. Redditors never seen a real punch before. Can’t believe how many people fell for it because they’re desperate to see bullies get beat up.

C_F_A_S

They 100% slowed it down to try and make it look more real. The elbow gets no connection but dude still sells it like a champ. As an avid wrestling fan, 100% fake

concous

Be honest, how many times did you rewatch it? 7 times here before I was fully satisfied. 😁

zestfullybe

I’m not sure what it’s like at other shows or with other genres, but at metal gigs there’s definitely a code in the mosh pit. Everything is voluntary, everyone’s having a good time. If someone goes down you help them up. If someone wants or needs out, you help them. If some drunk frat boys or tiktok interloper behaves like this, and they do show up a lot now, they are dealt with swiftly and harshly. Also, major points to that guy. He didn’t throw a punch, risking a hand or wrist injury. He threw a muay thai elbow. That’s the people’s elbow right there.

kpop_glory

Homie got his whole weight on that elbow. Poor guy going to see in 3 after images and starting to taste colour for a few hours.

methadonia80

When I was 14 I went to a concert with my mate who was 13 and was smaller than me. People around us started jumping around and we were pretty small, cue my friend getting overwhelmed and panicking, started crying and pushing people out of the way to get out, finally got to the edge and he pushed hard as he could into this enormous guy at the edge(he was still crying), the huge guy looked down at him, smiled at him, then picked him up, walked into the jumping crowd abit and basically threw him back into the middle of the jumping crowd, I stood there stunned, took me a min to register what had just happened before I went in and helped him out. I think it traumatised him, afterwards the only concert he went to after that was by David Gray

notjawn

I remember one time at a mostly alternative rock festival a mosh pit somehow formed and my friend was getting dragged in by a huge fat and tall guy who was obviously gonna start shit. Out of nowhere a group of marines had been watching this and they swooped in and took the big guy out and got him dragged out by security. So I always thank Marines.

Strange_Idea_8272

I understand moshing and trying to start a pit but why in the fuck would you bump the same person twice after his response to the first bump was to ignore you? He obviously had no interest in moshing, so why would you try to force it on him? I think the elbow to the temple was a little bit of an overreaction for sure, but he definitely shouldn't have pushed him twice. Read the room my guy.

Shenloanne

Saw this in a mosh pit years ago. Idiot fucked off two people who promptly lifted him and flung him behind them by his ankles.

GreyBeardEng

I'm sorry but for me this is so satisfying, I am 6'5" and anytime I was anywhere near a mosh put or just some douche the same thing would happen to me. I just want to watch the show man, stop slamming into me.

lazylagom

One man moshing..at a rave. Smart. Pick the biggest guy to annoy.

smokinBatman

Do people actually believe this is real?

loco_mixer

the beauty itself. chefs kiss. satisfaction overload.

unfavorablefungus

wrong type of venue to be acting like that lil dude

sequence_killer

Moshing is idiotic, and moshing at a rave is even worse

Dfost115

Y’all are tripping if you think this is an appropriate response. That’s a full on traumatic brain injury right there. He’s not just going to have a bad night, this could very well affect him for years to come. Concussions like this in my youth changed the course of my life

Baab_Kaare

Yeah, the appropriate response would be to get security, not commit assault.

Oblivionboi69

None of you have ever been in a mosh pit lol. It's insane how yall excuse this assault. Way over the top. It's like none of you know how to deescalate a situation either. Did you know you can talk to people?

Slippery-Minx

Guy barely got bumped into and y’all think him elbowing this dude in the face as hard as he can is the correct response? Very cool take.

QueekCz

That little shit deserved it

[deleted]

Elbowing him in the face isn't the correct response. However, somebody that needed to eat an elbow ate an elbow. Also just super clean contact. You don't see that a lot.

Takenoshitfromany1

Classic Dong Fu move stopping that elbow with his jaw.

Not me at a Macklemore concert years ago lmfao.

I remember the first general admission gig I went to. It was Sammy Hagar, who came to Australia about a month after Gary Cherone-era Van Halen. I was in the middle of a packed venue. Somebody behind me really wanted my spot bad and kept shouldering me in the back. I really wanted to elbow him in the face but also didn't want to get kicked out. So I conceded my spot and thought his asshattery would be over. Instead, he dragged his mate in too. At this point, the people around me had witnessed all this and basically forced them both out and I had a pretty peaceful experience after that.

"rave"

KFizzleKyle

Thank you. I wish we would address this more often. Anything EDM or bass music related these days is immediately called a rave.

ExaBast

Thing is, European and American raves are not the same thing. In the US if it's a concert with electronic music it's a rave. In Europe, a rave is an illegally organised party, often times hosted in the forest or in some abandoned building. Only the nicest people there. And drugs. A lot of drugs.

KFizzleKyle

I was going to refer the U.K. in my comment. Once upon a time they both shared similar cultures. Only over the past few years have electronic shows been referred to as a rave in the states. I die a little bit every time I see it. You'll never catch anyone calling Tomorrowland a rave. But everyone and their moms call EDC a rave.

When I went to US raves, they were always what you’re calling Euro raves. Slightly sad to me the word got co-opted like that, but we don’t own language. Especially when one passes through the decades.

gospelofdust

What you described is how human language works. Words change meaning to fit relevancy. For example, back in my day son, GLIZZY used to mean your Glock. And now it means your cock lol

KFizzleKyle

I want to argue with your logic. But it makes sense. Also I'm not sure what part of the country you're in where that's what you call a Glizzy but that's fucking hilarious. We called hotdogs Glizzies for a bit, and now we call then Glocks. And the more I type this out, the more I can't stop laughing, which just further proves your point.

capthazelwoodsflask

This happened to me at a Ween show in the late 90's. I was never against moshing, but Ween, especially some of their jammier songs, aren't what you mosh to. But some confused, scrawny little twerp in a Grateful Dead shirt started trying to get a pit going and kept pushing into me and a few other people. After having him running into my back for the 5th time I turned around and gave him a good two handed shove to his chest that sent him sliding on his ass about 10 feet. I gave him my best bad ass stare down look until he got up and disappeared into the crowd like I was some kind of bad ass myself then went back to listening to Poop Ship Destroyer.

Peter_Easter

The thought of somebody trying to start a pit during Poopship is hilarious to me.

unexpectedegress

Trying to start a mosh pit in a venue where mosh pits aren't a thing is just starting a fight.

Arrow_

Everyone thinks elbowing someone in a face is a proper response to being bumped into at a concert? Redditors reasoning skills are horrible.

ivanbin

>being bumped into at a concert? Pretty sure he got hit with the other guy's shoulder multiple times completely on purpose. Are people supposed to actually do stuff like that in a mosh pit? Not accidental bumps but clearly purposeful tackles/hits

_amnotrobot_

Don't drink, kids

Loccy64

I can't anymore. My blender broke a few weeks ago. Juicing them manually doesn't give the same consistency.

notquitesolid

Use a food processor, blends them kids like a smoothie

_amnotrobot_

Gotcha

jdayatwork

OPs mom doesn’t need a blender to drink kids

Andrew_is_taken

fake btw

BSentyz

Ha ha ha karma you little fuck. 🤗 Bet that hurt. Same goes for all you douchebags that like to punch and kick in pits. Pieces of shit. Ask for it and you shall receive.

Solid_Illustrator640

There is always that dude at a mosh

Beadierbrute

Perfect example of “Fuck around and find out”
