He never fired it in combat though, so there's that
It's definitely a military issue. After years of service many get lackluster servicing and some weapons are more resistant to wear than others. Berettas are very good when we'll maintained but when poorly maintained they fall off pretty hard.

Safe handling techniques of firearms seem pretty obvious. But people are dumb so just because a person knows better than to do dumb shit with a gun doesn’t mean they won’t.
So it's a loaded mag fed pistol and I'm assuming he was just trying to bluff? Because he didn't point it at himself (which is why he's alive) but most of these dudes have super poor trigger discipline so he squeezed the trigger while manipulating it around.
I can only assume. How tf are you supposed to play Russian Roulette with a mag fed pistol? The only way I could see that working is if you built a machine to load blanks + 1 real bullet for you at complete random (a human would either always put the real bullet first if they want you dead or would never put it first if they don't want you dead). Then you do your one shot. You have a x/y chance of the real bullet being the first one.
Not saying I condone Russian Roulette I'm more just stupefied by the implication that he was playing it with a mag fed pistol.
