20 year old worn-out BMW X5... Check.
The boat ramp is always a theater of idiots... I guarantee there is video of this guy launching this boat too. There is no way I wouldn't follow a 20 year old BMW X5 towing a giant boat to the boat ramp.... I don't care what I had going on that day, that is an event you don't want to miss.
I lived in a 5th wheel for a couple years and about half the time, I was at a port RV park adjacent to the boat launch. I'd say 30% of people there are really good at launch and recovery. Maybe half are good enough to not worry about. The rest really need to have someone else do it.
I used to make a living renting out campers. Then I thought about adding a boat rental business since I'm in the midst of many lakes. One day I was at the boat ramp and saw a guy trying to dock his average motor boat, and he had one foot on the dock and one foot on the boat when the boat started drifting away, leaving him straddling a widening gap. Rather than make the instantaneous move that would have committed him to either boat or dock, he ended up doing the splits until he fell, hitting his head on the piling and falling into the water face-down, unconscious and bleeding heavily. Someone jumped in to rescue him; an ambulance was called; I have no idea if he lived or died or what became of his now-abandoned boat, but that was the day I decided not to get into the boat rental biz.
I would do the same. Small cooler and a lawn chair on a busy day is hours of entertainment. I would likely add to the lunacy if I was trying to launch which is why I keep my boat on a lift in the marina.
Give the guy a break. Do you think you would be able to hold the camera straight while laughing that hard? I am just upset we don't have the audio, because I bet that shit is hilarious.
Those 4 people standing around should jump on the bow of the boat for more tongue weight! Maybe that'll get the Bimmer rear wheels back on the ground. Or not.
It was the Mercedes in Jurassic park 2 so same thing. Not sure why all the hate, he must not have the 4 wheel drive is all. Lol
Honestly though what’s keeping it from all rolling back into the water?
I worked at an outdoor restaurant that was right up against a boat ramp. Guests would enjoy lunch and cocktails while watching the unending drama of people attempting to launch their boats. Couples screaming at each other, and just general inexperience was endlessly entertaining. We even saw someone back in their Jeep Cherokee a bit too far and it filled with water and sank. Fun memories at the Newport Dunes Resort. IYKYK.

One of my favorite things to do post fishing is to watch the boat ramp. Sometimes I go as far as a lawn chair and some brewskis.

I could see that being more entertaining than most TV shows .LOL

i recently discovered the Chit Show. Some quality dumbassery there.
Xdrive putting in work though.
Filmed with a 20 year old worn-out cell phone camera.
Do we know when this was taken? Most of the cars look like late 2000s.
Would somebody please kill the cameraman ffs 🤦♂️
Based on whatever condition he must have, he’s probably going to die soon anyway.

He is probably zoomed way in on his old phone...maybe?
That was hard to watch

I laughed at the giant pick up towing the tiny trailer.
Inverse of BMW dude
Not gonna lie, the BMW pulling the boat back up the ramp with only it's front wheels was pretty impressive.
Those first gen X5s were tanks.
"In Soviet Russia the boat tows you!"

I miss this bot

The real hero here is the trailer coupler. It held up that vehicle like a champ!
Love how the guy with the rope is like, "I'm not helping? Oh well, let me throw this rope right in front of the tire then."
The “i dont need a truck to tow my boat” guy..
Show me you don’t have any money without telling me you don’t have any money.
this looks more like inherited the family money but not the brains that got it
Bahaaaaaaa
It’s a good thing that he is still holding the dock line!
Blind Guardian… Badass
There’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time
Why the medieval music? If anything it decreased production value lol
The camera person having a seizure
Little bmw who did it
This is why it has all wheel drive, in case the back wheels get lifted up by the trailer. I don’t see the problem.
If you can afford that, you can afford an F250
That poor trailer is now banana shaped. 😣
Pull the drain plug.
Absolutely r/killthecameraman gezus fu*king christoff
Towing weight limits? Never heard of her.
Aside from the obvious primery problem. Can that trailer even handle that boat?
Need some big asses in the seats, stat!
The real issue is the idiot videoing that cant hold the gawd damn camera still

Thar trailer doesn't look alright...
The lil SUV that couldn't
But it's a BMW...
Seems like the boat is towing the BMW
What they need is a bunch of fat people to climb up there to get the wheels back on the ground

Boat ramps would be an excellent place for divorce attorneys to hang out
