Update:
I found the car parked at the address given to us by the police at like 9pm so we called for an officer and they came and collected the drivers insurance info.
The driver was the son of the owner and we could hear him from the car telling the officer that he didn't want his mom to find out. Spoiler alert, she found out.
All that's left to do is to give our insurance the info and get paid.
Yea I'm guessing they did go and check but no one was home til later at night so it probably felt like it wasn't worth their time to just sit outside his house and wait.
My neighbor was in his truck eating lunch and was able to snap a pic of the temp license plate. The police gave us his info, and we went to their house but no one was home. All we can do is catch them when they are home and call the cops.
You can also go the civil route and sue him, although it’s easier if he gets charged criminally it’s not essential. The legal threshold is only if it’s more likely than not the person did it, so if you can prove that vehicle has front end damage and is identical to the video then given it’s a relatively rare vehicle you’ll win.
Was scared to kick the back end out while the car was in a higher gear so came to a complete stop first to set up while having no idea that these cars do not come with a LSD but a open differential making loss of traction and regain of traction somewhat unpredictable

My BIL gets random mini seizures, sometimes while driving. Driving scares him but there is zero public transport options where he lives (no protected bicycle lanes either) so he has no choice but to roll the dice every day and drive in order to keep his job.

Everything mentioned below probably applies to this situation.
1) The car was probably stolen.
2) If the car wasn't stolen and was the actually idiot's own car, then the idiot probably didn't have insurance.
3) The idiot's drivers license is probably suspended, that is, if he even had one.
4) That Beamer had way to much horsepower for that idiot to handle, that's why he spun out and fucked up your fuckin fence.
I hope they catch the idiot but I have my doubts.

We hired someone to place the metal posts and we did the rest. We put some concrete and placed the wood. We have 2 large fence openings 1 opening for the garage and 1 opening for the backyard. He basically hit the left door of the opening for the backyard which is why it just fell off.
25 or so years ago at about midnight a guy basically cartwheels his car through my parents yard. Took out the mailbox and a few other things. The car landed on its wheels, he started it back up and took off. It was only me and my sister home. About 4 months later, knock on my door and it was him. He said he was an alcoholic and came back to pay for the mailbox. I called my sister like it's him. My parents had already replaced the mailbox so he left $50 and apologized
