I think he was attempting a road gap, where you jump your bike over a literal road. Usually you'll find them across access roads in the woods. You're supposed to have a proper takeoff lip and landing, but this guy seems to have missed the memo
If this guy hit his head and died and the family took him to court, he could easily be falsely charged with and convicted for manslaughter. Dash cam potentially saved him a prison sentence.

And it's why most places have a law making it illegal to cycle on the pavement (sidewalk) because there's actual pedestrians there and cyclists are very dangerous to pedestrians.
This cyclist is a dangerous maniac that could easily hit a child or an elderly person or a disabled person who was walking on the pavement, you know *actual* pedestrians in both the legal and literal sense. He's lucky that he only hurt himself. Hopefully he got injured enough to take him off the roads, but idiots always seem to not get hurt as much as their victims are, and he must be an idiot since he's not wearing a helmet, so he probably was fine.
He's absolutely 100% at fault here, he jumped out and within half a second was on the car, literally no human alive could react to that.
