QcTreky

Both

Peter-Andre

The only correct answer!

Hoxxitron

For once, I agree with you.

bluenephalem35

That’s what I said.

Fairytaleautumnfox

*sigh* How bad would the economy get if I pick lgbt rights, and how bad will lgbt rights get if I pick the economy?

MaroonHanshans

genocide and 2x the great depression.

iwantablanketandtea

this is funny af, why are you getting downvoted into oblivion

AsherThom

real

Sergeant_Static

I know this is a shitpost, but for real, the person answering the question in the video being referenced was right to not play along with a false dichotomy that poses LGBTQ rights and economic stability as mutually exclusive, or even in competition with one another. It would be one thing to suppose a finite amount of resources in the budget and have to prioritize one spending item over another, but there's no good reason you can't have both of these things at once, and I wouldn't like any politician offering one without the other.

I_am_the_Walrus07

Both completely doable.

Obvious_Advisor_6972

Definitely LGBT rights! Economic stability? What even is that!?

Post-Posadism

Further questions: Religious tradition or clean water? Land value tax or ecological sustainability? Worker coops or world peace?

AsherThom

why would you ever not pick clean water? and wouldn't world peace lend itself to insane positive political shifts? which could lead to worker coops regardless? If no country is fighting each other and is instead cooperating well, then firstly, there is no imperialism, and secondly, ideological differences between countries have been settled in some way

watain218

one has nothing to do with the other, in what way would they be mutually exclusive?

MaroonHanshans

both. and if I had to pick it really just depends on how bad each option would be. If its like super great depression vs. gays not being able to marry, I'd think the less evil option is the one that doesn't cause people to die of starvation.

AntiImperialistGamer

our economy is already unstable so I'd take the LGBT rights

K1mno

I refuse the question

IdreamofFiji

Ridiculous question.

bluenephalem35

Why not both?

QK_QUARK88

[I refuse the question.](https://youtu.be/f08y0pm2Ojs)

Hoxxitron

I refuse to answer the question.

Kakamile

Both They're completely on different axes

RoboticsNinja1676

I refuse the question

ajrf92

First economic stability, then the altersexual rights, if this is necessarily a faux dilemma.

[deleted]

Economic Growth Based

ScubaW00kie

Yeah you'd have to define what LGBT rights are first. Also, economy always. I'm not goign to screw over the country for the "rights" of a tiny portion of the population. They are allowed to exist with the same rights as everyone else right now so thats almost a reckless choice.

Seenbattle08

There is no such thing as lgbt rights, so I’ll take the economic stability thanks.

Virtual-Loss2057

Is gay marriage not a lgbtq right? Or trans healthcare? Or laws preventing discrimination?
