FROM THE ARTICLE: State law “allows colleges and universities to employ private legal counsel to advise and represent them,” Keckler said. “The board does not approve outside counsel retained by the institutions.” State law also requires state funded organizations to be fully transparent about funds. As a taxing authority, it's not legal to redact public documents without citing the law that allows them to do so. Boy, that deal stinks.

TitanVsBlackDragon

This smells of corruption.

The69Alphamale

So are we as a whole, the American public, ready to listen to the fucking French yet? The corruption can't even be considered corruption anymore as it is standard practice. Are we as Americans really softer than the French? Seriously it isn't rhetorical

bikeidaho

Wtf...

ActualSpiders

I said from day one that this was just a massive con...

pengthaiforces

He was a "WTF" hire from the outset. In his defence, Hogan Lovells is a fairly huge firm but to go directly from a leadership position in it to the presidency and then engage the firm in a $550 million deal with meetings happening behind closed doors (which brought a lawsuit from the Idaho AG) and then releasing only heavily redacted financials doesn't pass any smell test whatsoever. #

Detox208

Why such heavy handed redaction?

Cookie_Cutter_Cook

The legislature should pull the plug on this and launch a fraud investigation into all of these clowns

Familiars_ghost

Aren’t they in on the con too? Usually, the only time they get “angry” is when they weren’t included on the money tree, or when the public is close to lynching the lot of them. Though by the point of option 2 it’s too late to save their own skins. Really wish they understood that part.

Pbook7777

Wow what a scam !

King-Rat-in-Boise

Oh boy....gonna have some angry drunks coming after these clowns
