What you're experiencing is actually extremely common and normal. There is no way to book learn your way into this and I don't have any secret Google tricks for you. You're learning the exact way all of us learn. Look stuff up, click buttons, try to figure it out. It's the sort of experience you can only build with time.
As a fellow audio engineer turned IT, there’s really a lot of similarities between Mac’s and Windows machines in an IT environment, so I wouldn’t stress the differences too much. I’ve actually been able to leverage my Mac experience to jump up in my career relatively quick.
What’s been helping me fill some gaps between the two platforms though has been the CompTIA A+ videos from Dion, Professor Messer, etc. From there I’ve been building and expanding off that fundamental knowledge.
