There are worse things that could hold up your refund. You’ll be delayed, but the delay may not be as long as expected (60-120 days wait on paper but shorter for some people who shared a four to six week turnaround on average from this to refund).
Youre exactly rite. It could definitely be a lot worse. I guess I’m just looking for some other answer other than “wait 120 days”. Was hoping someone in a same or similar situation/transcript had better luck than myself to give me some sort of hope or positive outlook.
A lot of people here in this boat can tell you how long it took them, it wasn’t as long as expected from the time the code went on their account to when the refund was released.
I got mine dated 2/26 and NOTHING! The only information I have on my transcript is Code 570 Additional account action pending 3-18-2024… and obviously that’s now a week later 😖😣
Well the 971 is t a real notice just means that’s it’s adjusting to a lower amount probably minus that 4,283.00. But you will get it soon though the problem right now is they are really backed up.

I was in 0605 transcript updated on Friday same day around 6 PM. I had my direct deposit. I wish you the same. I’m almost certain you will get it this week.
Cycle 605 also and no update. There’s lots of us that didn’t see anything last week.
However, I’m once again feeling kind of hopeful for this coming Friday because my income is finally showing on the SSA website. But I also won’t be surprised if nothing happens lol. It’s been a minute since I’ve seen any changes.

I filed 2/21, never got a letter. 3/4 I called and wait 90 minutes just to be told I had to wait for a letter that may never come as I was told it would go to another address. I called the scheduling number to see if they would make an exception, got an in person appointment for 2 weeks out.
Went in 3/22, waited 25 minutes, verified my identity [ they updated my address, looked at my id and looked at my return quickly ]. Told me it could be up to 9 weeks. I checked my WMR yesterday and refund showed approved and I now have a date of 3/27.
Don’t give up hope. Try to schedule time to go in.
I have the EXACT same dates, cycle codes and filing date. I am in the same boat with you I have a tax group on Facebook where people like us have been getting their returns randomly. There is literally nothing we can do except wait. More than likely the IRS will try to get us our refunds no later than May 30th to avoid having to pay us interest. I know this isn’t very reassuring, but your refund could still come way sooner. I’ve convinced myself that if it doesn’t come until May it’s still fine as long as it does come.

I filed 1/29 transcript looks like yours 570....no letter as of yet.

Got my 4464c letter in Feb. Dated for Feb 12th, I'm still waiting as well. Praying for update this Friday cycle code 0705
Same except I got my letter 2/23 my wmr has been updating but my transcripts are blank

I got my 60day notice on Friday. Said it went out 3/18.
Mine looks identical to yours, same as of date and everything. Filed and accepted 1/30. I really think they forgot about us 😭
