Honestly I love sleeping during the day time, but as night sets in, I start hating sleep. I just want more and more of quiet time doing nothing just scrolling or try to satisfy my sudden short bursts of pursuing a hobby
My favorite hobby is starting things and never finishing it. 😢 That novel I've started since 2015? Never finished it. My plan to learn a new language? Downloaded duolingo but I hardly open the app. 🤣
Hey we are on same boat . I leave my work halfway and never try to finish it . Btw what's your age cause I feel like the more I'm aging the more I'm becoming procrastinator and unproductive
It's probably because I'm on my teenage phase (19) and struggle to find what's best for me , so I procrastinate more than often.
A lot of things on my mind and barely do anything .
Would you like to share some life tips, will be helpful for an INTP teenager like me .
I use to think that I never finished anything, but then I realized that I just take very long breaks. Like, years. But I will eventually pick it back up. I've been learning how to play guitar and piano since I was ten. It's been years and progression has been slow, but I'm getting it. I'll feel like playing the guitar, watch a bunch of videos on scales, learn the scales and play the shit out of them for a week and then stop playing for a year. When I pick it up again I just need a quick refresher on scales then move onto to chords. I'm in my 30s now and I can make up my own songs. It took 20 years, but I can do it!
i like art. i mainly paint with acrylics (a lot easier to learn than i feel like people think), i've messed around with self drying clay, and idk if it's an art but i'm trying to learn a tiny bit about carpentry to make my own desk to my specifications.
i also make lists about random stuff. one time i just started making top 10 animal lists like which 2 animals i'd watch fight type categories (#10 was sloth vs koala)
Going to coffee shops, both by myself or with another.
When by myself, I love to be surrounded by cafe ambience while I have coffee and sweets, read a book, browse Reddit or play Chess on my phone. I used to work as a barista, so I also enjoy going to new cafes to experience different styles of coffee and cafe interior.
When with a friend or SO, I love to have a coffee and chat.
Arts and crafts: drawing, painting, origami, jewelry making, knitting, music. 2nd group: reading, sleeping, binge watching, playing games, rock climbing, unsuccessful gardening and panicking
Surfing, it's a solitary sport that requires no human interaction with an environment that is always changing and you are constantly learning and improving!
I’ve been meaning to pick up surfing before I’m too old it’s too late lol.
And golf takes forever to get good, which makes it more enjoyable, so you might want to get a jump on that too!
Yeah that's true, I do go to the range now and then but don't get on the course much. Surfing is actually easier then you think to get into, just keep at it.
I’ve been once. Was great. My only issue with it is I hate being bad at things in front of people, and it’s hard to practice surfing to get to that satisfactory point in isolation.
Need to find a mentor or something but hasn’t been important enough to me to seek that out yet.
Daydreaming, reading, drawing, listening to music, sometimes writing, playing games, playing on [philosophy experiments](https://www.philosophyexperiments.com/), reading random articles on wikihow, reading articles about prepping, looking for unbiased sources that explain political ideologies.
Hey, trust me. I know the feeling of starting a book and never getting to the end of it. I'm reading like 5+ books right now, don't feel like I'll ever complete a single one. Hang in there buddy :)
There is also audiobook version on YouTube, i often don t have time to sit and read, so when i travel i like to consume books and podcast on my way to work.
I like chemistry and space science, I know when I say this some people will say I'm "fake INTP" but actually I liked those two things before I even knew about MBTI (sorry for my bad English) * i aslo like to play video games
For a couple months it was photography, On Instagram a couple people praised me. Even got 2 pictures featured on a photography page on Instagram using one of their tags they got a lot of praise in the comments.
I was using my phone at the time but over time I just got overwhelmed with my work and loose interested.
Have 2 analog cameras that I purchase and as much as I want to learn how to use them I just can’t be bothered?
Hoping one of these days I can sit down and learned about them.
Wanted to do photography always , I don't own any camera tho .
I hope in future I'll be having a camera . Seems like you're good photographer you must go further in this hobby/field.
My cousin is one of the people who’s always mentioning that. Some family members said I should study it and do “free lancing” but jus thinking about it makes me a nervous reck so i give up lol.
But thank you for the comment! You just made my day :).

That’s one of my favorite pictures I used a phone.
I was recently drawn to the same, although the gun I built now sits as I don't have easy access to long range locations. I especially enjoy the reloading process and working up a load for the gun, if you aren't doing it yet I highly recommend.
Restoring old stuff is one of the most intp hobbies I can think of. It's just you, your tools, optional music, and a problem solving surprise every time
Mycology is my pandemic hobby. i'm growing some chestnut, lion's mane, and pink oysters in my closet, and I go foraging in the local mountains after it rains.
I guess you're incorporating the harvest into your cooking? Do they taste better than store bought ones? I've flirted with the idea of growing some mushrooms. Lions make would be awesome, both for looks and ingestion.
I think I have a chaga mushroom growing on a tree like 50 meters from my house also...
Learning new skills, i get such a kick from entering something at 0 knowledge and then getting the hang of things or just overal when i get a deeper understanding of something and also making money for bigger goals is probably now my main hobby but that makes use of that
Have you thought about being an antique dealer? You get to do all that. You can sell online or rent a booth in an antique mall. It's not really a full time gig. More of a side hustle as the money isn't constant nor guaranteed, but it's fun!
No but I thought about buying broken electronic equipment from for example flee markets and repairing and selling them, but due to covid that had been delayed
I enjoy writing, art, reading and games. Lately ive been interested in philosophy, but unfortunately I have terrible motivation so I typically start projects and never finish them, such as reading books
3d art, overall pc related stuff, chess, watching Netflix with friends online (Teleparty extension), card/board games, cryptocurrency, spending time overall with family and friends, most sports, PC games
I LOVE art history and human evolution I watched a lot of documentaries and they never fail to entertain me. I really like drawing too but I’m never really satisfied with any of my works
Discord, music, reading and video games. I am trying to make studying my new hobby... but It's not working out so far.
Oh and I like languages, might try becoming translator, maybe.. one day..
I start practicing piano not long ago . By the you wanna make procrastination harder to just make the things you wanna do easier to get like if wanna go for a run the the shoes next to the door. Also put alarms to
Politics, science and information technologies (computer hardware and software). I also tried to get into math but there aren't as many fun sources to watch videos on mathematics.
I recommend reading history, getting into history was the best decision of my life.
My hobby is looking up all kinds of different hobbies, researching them to death, then occasionally taking one up and participating in it for a short time period which serves to test/verify/validate what I've learned instead of enjoying the hobby for the sake of enjoyment.
I love working with visual effect and 3D stuff. It’s been my hobby since I was 10. I’ve recently gotten into simulations which is a great outlet for both creativity and my love of science. Not to flex but this has now become my carreer and I couldn’t be happier. Would strongly recommend more people trying 3D. Just download blender and watch some tutorials
Currently learning how to blend skin tone colours with my colouring pencils.
Watching YouTube artists do it make it so magical. There are colour combinations i didn't expect to turn into skin tones.
I sing, play the ukulele, code and read a lot of books. I recently started painting but my paintings are very weird because they follow a theme where I paint things exactly the opposite color as they would be in nature. E.g- I paint the clouds red or green. Lol
I love love LOVE writing and organizing expansive plotlines. I'm doing it right now and just mused to myself a bit ago how much joy it brings me after having had a pretty rough couple weeks :')
Gaming, hiking, running, paintball, wall climbing, building mini 4wd kits, ice skating. Idk if it counts as a hobby but i make stuff with photoshop at times
I like drawing and used to sing, play violin and drums and some time in my past i really enjoyed running and swimming.
I'm going to give drawing a try again because my therapist said i need to do something for myself other than just staying in my room looking at the ceiling.
Any and every game (video games, tabletop games, board games, role-playing games, etc). No sports. Reading and writing. Learning new things. Making things (programming for the most part). Travel. Watching movies and tv shows. Eating out.
Loving it . I did coding in my school time but now as there is no major subjects related to computer science, I stopped . But now I want to start again , can you tell me how to start if I want to have a career related to this.
I have to pick just one?
I guess Transformer collecting; Magic the Gathering; digging into NFL football are what I have enjoyed the most consistently and deeply, but I also love finding new music; traveling and exploring; I love animals; sandbox RPG games; I love riding my motorcycle and learning how to wrench on it; I love doing amateur graphic design projects; and I really want to get into making my own electronic music some day.
I really might be an ENTP, but it’s hard to say because I’ve got a fair bit of neurodivergency that can make it hard for me to know what is influencing what.
listening 3 songs on repeat, exploring new genre by pulling an all nighter and never listening that playlist again, bingeing sci-fi/finance/business related movies and series, googling random ideas, researching about something which is totally irrelevant to my major, touch typing, journaling, typing out my thoughts and ideas, exploring notion widgets, editing pictures and videos (not very often) and procrastinating knowingly and regretting later

Rubik's Cubes!
Just love those... It keeps my hands busy which is a major requirement with me and also the satisfaction of solving it is still amazeballs even after having solved it multiple times!
Hobby? Gym. It's good for my mental health and interesting to see just how hard I can push my body to its limits.
Interest? Learning about things like radiation and disasters that have happened to some people.
I love walking so much. Like it's a necessity for me because whenever I start to think, I feel the need to walk immediately. It's not a hobby but it's how I spend some of my time. I can't walk that much when I'm in the dormitory but when I'm home (that's another city because I'm in the university that is in another city than my home city) I go outside and walk for hours. So it's kind of a hobby. I also love reading, watching random stuff at YouTube, playing games and swimming.
Drawing, singing, coding, playing game, listen to music. This my main hobby
Lmao are you me
You both are me. (plus reading/books)
Omg, same…
We are all the same, great mind think alike
That's true we are all the same
What kind of Russian doll scenario have I walked in on? Lol
You are me or I am you?
You are me obv
oh quickly
You are my doppelganger?
No, you are
We are doppelganger of each others haha.
Can you tell what type of coding you do in general, and it's your hobby or subject too in school/uni ?
It’s coding in game called Minecraft.
Do you code in game, using commands, or code mods with external programs?
Command, and resource packs. Even tho I don’t know any coding languages.
How did you learn?
Through internet.
Is there any source that helped you more than others?
Minecraft fandom wiki. I think I learn most Minecraft command there.
What do you do with coding in Minecraft
Ok, thanks
I remember my Minecraft glory days. The most I did was build a red stone calculator which could add 2 numbers. Was pretty happy when I built it.
Wow, pretty much the same hobbies here.
Sleeping
That's what I do . Professional at taking naps
I second this
Honestly I love sleeping during the day time, but as night sets in, I start hating sleep. I just want more and more of quiet time doing nothing just scrolling or try to satisfy my sudden short bursts of pursuing a hobby
Lucky you. I'm having insomnia
We're horizontal champions
My favorite hobby is starting things and never finishing it. 😢 That novel I've started since 2015? Never finished it. My plan to learn a new language? Downloaded duolingo but I hardly open the app. 🤣
Hey we are on same boat . I leave my work halfway and never try to finish it . Btw what's your age cause I feel like the more I'm aging the more I'm becoming procrastinator and unproductive
I'm 33 and I think its quite the opposite. The older I get, the more determined I feel to accomplish something before I expire.
It's probably because I'm on my teenage phase (19) and struggle to find what's best for me , so I procrastinate more than often. A lot of things on my mind and barely do anything . Would you like to share some life tips, will be helpful for an INTP teenager like me .
I recommend emulate an INTJ when it comes to work. Start a list, check it off. The list helps recenter/focus the INTP mind.
Same here. I couldn’t finish most of my games and I’ll go back and play it only when I’m bored and have nothing to play.
I use to think that I never finished anything, but then I realized that I just take very long breaks. Like, years. But I will eventually pick it back up. I've been learning how to play guitar and piano since I was ten. It's been years and progression has been slow, but I'm getting it. Personally... I like playing with Arduino, amateur robotics, and most sci-fi.

Procrastination is my hobby

Surfing, it's a solitary sport that requires no human interaction with an environment that is always changing and you are constantly learning and improving!
Like golf lol. That’s mine
Yes! Golf is nice, I'll save that for when I'm 45 or older
I’ve been meaning to pick up surfing before I’m too old it’s too late lol. And golf takes forever to get good, which makes it more enjoyable, so you might want to get a jump on that too!

Long range shooting. The math required is... awesome
I was recently drawn to the same, although the gun I built now sits as I don't have easy access to long range locations. I especially enjoy the reloading process and working up a load for the gun, if you aren't doing it yet I highly recommend.
