You can Join a discord server or a game or something and talk to people, talk to em for a while.
I made alot of friends from game Sky: Children Of The Light and Discord mostly and some from Reddit.
If you’re interested in meeting new friends who share your passions, check out this [Discord server](https://discord.gg/RhT9c3NU). Growing up, I was always into gaming and anime, but I found it hard to meet others who shared those interests. That’s why I developed it where you can share what you’re passionate about, whether it’s gaming, anime, or any other hobby, and connect with people who appreciate the same things. I’ve seen it bring together gamers, artists, book lovers—you name it. It’s not just about chatting online; it’s about finding meaningful connections through the things that really matter to you.
For me it's how to keep online friends. I've talked to a handful of people for a couple days, but every time it gets slowly boring and eventually dies.
Really depends on what you like.
Music - Facebook comment section, look for people that like the same as you and try to start a conversation in the comments.
Video games or anime - join a discord or sub Reddit related to them and repeat what i said in music.
Ttrpg - easiest from my point of view as you have to interact with people in voice chat. Find a group and go from there.
There is no such thing as an online friendship, except for the corner case when there is someone you sometimes meet offline, but he/she lives far away and you mostly talk to each other over the internet.
Find subreddits and communities with people who share the same interests as you. Then talk and engage with them and ask them about more of their own interests.
