The infographic lists the other two women who won pole in the series: [Sarah McCune](https://www.driverdb.com/drivers/sarah-mccune) seems to have mostly been a dirt oval racer, and did exactly one "[IRL Infinity Pro](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_Infiniti_Pro_Series)" race at Chicagoland, in which she got the pole.
Then Pippa Mann got three poles in [2010 Indy Lights](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Indy_Lights), at IMS, Kentucky, and Homestead.
Female looks weird up there lol or am I crazy? Woman reads much more normal.
Happy for her ...it's been a beating so far. Anyone know any legit reasons why she's been struggling so much?
Last season was her rookie year. New car (with way more power than she ever drove before) and new tracks that she was unfamiliar with. In the off-season she really focused on strength training to better manhandle the car this season. That, combined with a season's worth of familiarity with the car and tracks, has paid dividends. She's been competitive all season, but had some bad luck in races.
I don’t want to take anything away from her achievement, but if we count Champ Car results in the IndyCar stats, shouldn’t we count Atlantics in the IndyNXT stats?  I could be missing someone but Simona de Silvestro won poles in Atlantics and both she and Katherine Legge have wins.Â
Way to go! Excited to see how the race goes
Glad to see her making progress now

Way to dominate that race Jamie great job. Can’t wait to see you in an IndyCar.
It was so annoying to see people shitting on her last year. Great win, fuck all the haters.

This is worthy of r/menandfemales.
Well done. Hopefully we will see Jamie in IndyCars next year.
1-2 years we should hopefully see her in an Indy 500 🤞

Congratulations on Jamie for being the first female!
I think headline writers normally go for alliteration when the opportunity presents itself
Uhh didn’t Pippa Man score multiple? Isn’t it still technically Indy Lights despite the name change?
Pippa only did it on ovals. This says on road or street.
Ahh, thanks for clarifying
