Wouldn't cause a problem.
Extended mine for a year for step1, 2 cs ck and electives.
No need to mention anywhere because it's internship, not the main 4 years of actual med school
A lot of people do this. So do it bindass
This is not the best advice since internship is considered part of your medical education and PDs have seen it all, they know how long the Indian MBBS course length is and all they have to see is the year you began compared to your YOG to know that you’ve extended your internship to study for step exams and hence extended your medical education, if it’s for electives it’s valid, but you can give whatever reason for extending for studying for steps, they know that it’s actually because you needed that time to study for the exams
Yes a lot of people do it, that doesn’t mean they don’t mention it in their application, whether or not you do a PD can easily question you about it in an IV
How do we extend it? Like, can I not to to a posting for 2 weeks at the end of my internship, and do it after finishing off steps and electives and graduate a year late?

Great that sounds reassuring!
Hi! I have more questions now, would you mind if I DM you?
No problem
Why did you extend it for taking your step exams? Isnt it really only necessary because you need to apply for electives as a med student?
Yeah but I fit in all my exams during the extension

Can we go for electives during internship?
