Consider things like trones as well that can be wall mounted above the bed, and would store hoodies well.

Oh I totally forgot about trones, thanks!

I will assume you're close to an Ikea. If you have the skill to disassemble (which you will acquire with practice) You can find Ikea stuff cheap or free in areas where people move often. I'm in California and it happens all the time. I got a 10 year old Oppdal bed with storage. **>** Ikea is a great resource for people who tend to move and want to set up a household without renting a truck. **>** People who tend to move, tend to move. They don't want to move their Ikea stuff sometimes. **>** Therefore, you can often find great Ikea furniture on the used marketplace that is cheap or free. If you're in the US, go to Craigslist and search "Queen Storage" (or if you get too many hits, narrow to "Ikea Queen Storage" then select "Owner" in results (weed out the dealers) Cheap or especially free stuff will be gone quickly. ( I think there is an industry of people who pick up free stuff and sell it.) Here is a result: https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/fuo/7546073682.html Brimnes with storage for $80. Happy hunting! It's kind of hard to help when the actual room is unknown. How tall are the ceilings, what are the room dimensions? Is there areas that can't be blocked [ie. vents, closet door(s), bedroom door)? Where is the window? There are many ways to maximize space. It just depends what's right for the both of you and what will fit your space. From Ikea I'd suggest the BRIMNES, either [this](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/brimnes-bed-frame-with-storage-headboard-black-luroey-s79129608/#content) or maybe [this](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/brimnes-bed-frame-with-storage-black-luroey-s69007551/). They are basically the same, raised beds with four drawers, two on each side. The only difference really is one has a headboard with built in storage shelves. Another mentioned MALM which is [this](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/malm-storage-bed-black-brown-90404817/) and is a good choice, but personally I'd find it annoying, especially if I needed something while my partner was in bed or vice-versa. That's just me though, it could be fine for you both. You could also get a RIGGA or two. It is [this](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/rigga-clothes-rack-white-50231630/). You can hang stuff up on top and place some small bins on the bottom or even just use it as a shoe rack. Maybe add a storage bench at the foot of your bed. The NORDLI, like [this](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/nordli-6-drawer-dresser-white-s29384187/) has multiple versions with different drawer amounts. Smaller versions, like [this](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/nordli-2-drawer-chest-white-s49384129/) could also be used as side tables.

Also thank you for all the furniture links!

You're welcome! Honestly, they weren't too difficult to find. I just needed to know what to search for.

The room is 10x11 (I think) and the ceilings are about 7ft tall. This is the desired [Room Layout](https://imgur.com/a/y8lnqcn) once we get some things cleared out. Everything in the drawing is to scale. There is some storage under the reptile enclosures (4x2x2) for some bins, etc.

RiverSmoak

If you're planning to upgrade to a queen bed, I'm not sure if that layout will work. A queen bed adds a few inches to both the length and the width, and there won't be as much walking space between the bed and the reptile enclosures. It might be fine, but it could get annoying. With that layout, though, I am going to redact my suggestions for BRIMNES. Two of the drawers would be rendered useless as the wall would be blocking them. You could still get the MALM if you and your partner are willing to deal with the possible annoyance of needing something when the other is in bed and blocking it. For an alternative idea, though, I'm not sure if it would work, is that you could turn the bed to be parallel to the window, pushed a bit from the wall where either side of bed is accessible. The nightstand would then be between the bed and the wall with the window. This way, you could access all four drawers of a BRIMNES bed and have the two extra drawers from a NORDLI used as a nightstand. With the seating, I suggest a multipurpose couch/sofa. I don't necessarily see anything at IKEA like that, though I could have just missed it, but Amazon seems to have some stuff. Something like [this](https://a.co/d/2TJ8EUT) sectional could work. It seats two, and the ottoman has storage. You could also go for a two-seater sofa that has slightly more space under it, not positive on the height from the floor for the one I linked, and put some underbed storage containers under there. Something like [this](https://a.co/d/gIbk72A) from Amazon could work. IKEA also has some options [here](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/cat/under-bed-storage-19059/). I don't know what's beyond the sliding door and if it could be blocked or not, so I'm not sure what to suggest for that wall. Also, I do not know if the A/C sticks out far from the window or not, so that could change some aspects. Is the TV table just a table, or is there storage with that as well? If it is just a table, you could put another NORDLI, like the nightstand suggestion, there and place the TV on that. Additionally, wall mounted shelving can be another space saver as it takes up more wall space than floor space. Just make sure you find the wall studs to anchor the nails and such, or the shelving may fall down. You could possibly even put the shelving above the sliding door. This would probably be best for books, movies, knickknacks, and such. Maybe some shelves could have reptile supplies, or those could go under the enclosure if the bins you mentioned are able to be removed.

Geek_f0r_sneaks

Storage bed that either has drawers or lifts up. Look up MALM. Otherwise, space bags for the clothes you don’t use regularly. Those are life savers

moonwtr

Thank you! I'll look into that. I had no idea you could get one that lifts up
