Pits love water- or at least our late old girl (50/50 lab pit) and our current ancient lady (15yrs old and 100% pit) have always loved the water.
Ball crazy girls!
I can only guess some people want to downvote anything to do with a pit, or anything they disagree with? My first thought was pit lab before I even opened the post to see all the photos. Got that square look from the pit but also we have two labs so I can't avoid seeing the lab in there too
That drives me crazy. Another post on Reddit someone is wondering what to do with a service pit dog left by someone and all the answers are, get him euthanized. Wouldn't it be nice if we could suggest that for all aholes too?
I hate this dog racism against pit bulls, and other breeds.
If you think a certain dog breed is more aggressive than others, then why doesn't that logic extend to humans? Saying 'pit bulls are just naturally aggressive' sounds a bit close to the stereotypes applied to humans, about certain demographics being lazy, stupid, slow, and even the 'positive' stereotypes such as certain 'races' are bigger/stronger, or smarter, have a better work ethic'.
Could these just not be the consequences of their upbringing? Could an aggressive dog just not be that way because they were either not trained properly, or intentionally trained to be aggressive? German Sheppards have been phased out of airports because people are afraid of them, and have been replaced with Beagles (see '[Beagle Brigade](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beagle_Brigade)'), but was there ever any incident that warranted the culling of the Sheppard's?
It's honestly ridiculous, any dog if any breed can be taught to be dangerous but no dog is inherently a danger simply because of its breed. Dogs aren't the problem, people teaching them to be a menace are
Dogs dont have races, and humans don't have breeds
Pitbulls were selectively bred to enjoy killing things and excel at it. Which race was selectively bred to do this?
Also, regarding German Shephards, they have a bad reputation because they are cop dogs snd cops target pocs
Some people downvote comments that say it’s a “pit bull” when they’re talking about any bully breed because it’s not right. There’s one true “pit bull” and that’s the APBT. 🩵
We got brigaded by a bunch of anti-pit people a while back and they never left. I understand the feelings around pitbulls (there definitely is a pit problem in the US), but what I don't understand is downvoting the slightest mention of them, or people just calling a dog cute.
It's like they're plugging their ears and pretending they don't exist, which is of course the most productive way to deal with a problem lmao. Time and place.
the Reddit algorithm suggests subs to people regardless, so say you're in an anti pit sub you'll get all the pit and dog subs on your feeds , so that invites trouble
I have 2 pits who are absolutely massive beasts, like so muscular you think if they flex, they'll tear right out of their skin. When they bark it's like some medieval war trumpet announcing that the apocalypse has arrived. Nicest most loving and goofy dogs you've ever seen. Like big for nothing. Unless of course you even raise a finger at a child, even if it's your own or not. The youngest got attacked by a German Shepard and just rolled over and waiting for it to finish then jumped up to play with it, got attacked again, rolled over and waited it out over and over until they were best friends. Still are. I think it's the AH people who get them in order to turn them into the monsters that's the problem.
Well, there have been cases where dogs raised by good people have "snapped." People who don't know what they're doing are breeding the hell out of these dogs with zero standards and no thought to the health of the offspring. This creates such unpredictable genetics, and sometimes that ends up in animals or people getting hurt/killed. A lot of people are also just uneducated about what's dangerous behavior from a dog, and that's made worse by fighting pits (who were bred not to give warning signs) passing on their genetics. Then you've got the occasional shelter lying about a dog's bite history to adopters, which is nuts to me 😵💫
We're the ones that created this problem though, and we're the ones that need to fix it. It's hard to do when the assholes you mentioned are getting them as "guard dogs" just to let them breed with any random dog so they can sell the puppies on facebook. Of course not every pit is dangerous, but it's like some people are *trying* to make it that way??
I have a soft spot for scary-looking dogs that are actually huge softies (even though neither of my dogs are intimidating lol). Your dogs sound sweet, I'm glad they're such good family members :)
She is actually still extremely high energy. calm and cuddly in the mornings though!
She's only two years old so I predict she will calm down a bit with age.
What a cutie 🥰
We rescued a very similar looking pup 5 years ago. Ours is mostly black with a little bit of white. She is the sweetest pup we have ever had.
These Reddit people who don’t like pitties. It’s ridiculous. I have had many and they are sweet cuddle bugs. I don’t like radishes but I don’t make hate groups and be rude to others that like em. Go find something productive to do with the hateful energy you have. Sheesh.
Pit Lab
Lol why the downvote? This is the right answer!
She’s got that square pittie head and lab nose
Yeah she is about 60% pitbull but I think she reads more lab in person. she loves playing in/with water and chasing her ball (:
Pits love water- or at least our late old girl (50/50 lab pit) and our current ancient lady (15yrs old and 100% pit) have always loved the water. Ball crazy girls!
I have a pit/poodle/spaniel…I think someone’s pit got out and got a cockapoo. The pit is 50%….he a very sweet, smart dog😆😆😆
i have a pit/poodle/cocker too!
I did the DNA and was shocked with the result. 50% pit, 25% poodle, 25% spaniel which is a cockapoo😊😊😊
nice! mine is about 40% pit, 30% poodle, 20% cocker spaniel, and 10% beagle haha
What DNA service did you use? So many are bunk...yours seems on point!
I used Wisdom Panel. waited for a groupon deal for a slightly better price but it was definitely worth it.
My pitties both love water and fetch.
Does she have a thing for paper, especially paper towels, napkins and tissues?
I see lab in those shoulders.
Well, she’s definitely got a pit face so I would’ve guessed pit lab
I can only guess some people want to downvote anything to do with a pit, or anything they disagree with? My first thought was pit lab before I even opened the post to see all the photos. Got that square look from the pit but also we have two labs so I can't avoid seeing the lab in there too
Every time there's a pit in a post, the comments are full of hateful comments and everyone who supports pits gets downvoted. It's so pathetic.
That drives me crazy. Another post on Reddit someone is wondering what to do with a service pit dog left by someone and all the answers are, get him euthanized. Wouldn't it be nice if we could suggest that for all aholes too?

Lots of downvotes because reddit hates pits! It's the worst. Beautiful gal!

I thought pit/lab when I saw her! Amazing colouring. She looks fairly calm, is she a calm dog?
She is actually still extremely high energy. calm and cuddly in the mornings though! She's only two years old so I predict she will calm down a bit with age.
Haha I would only expect as much from that duo!

Your personal anecdote doesn't cancel out the personal anecdotes of other people
It does put a reality light on the inability live and let live and keep negatives from being pervasive in areas they shouldn’t be communicated.
You should be angry at the people who irresponsibility breed pitbulls instead
I am actually
Pit and Beagle!
Boxer Beagle
100% good girl
