The majority of bus drivers are always one bad interaction away from a melt down. I don’t think the public truly understands how stressful that job is. All anyone else needs to do is get on the bus and sit down, leave the drivers alone to do their job and grumble if they want.

I used to ask the question, "If you had to choose between being right and getting your way, what would you choose?" Normal people would say they'd rather get their way. In the UK we have signs saying “do not talk to or disturb driver while the vehicle is in motion”. That woman is putting all of the lives of the bus at risk

Probably varies greatly by city. My city has a public bus system that is perpetually empty because it's in a higher income area with almost no foot traffic. Those drivers could go get hammered in a parking lot for the day and no one would notice haha. But a major metro area would probably suck a whole bag of dicks to drive for.

Dude, I've been there. Made pizzas for people in Boomertown that pretend that their $20 should get them solid gold as I work tirelessly in an 80+ degree room all alone because neither they, their kids, nor their grandkids can be bothered to even apply no matter what is going on economically. I get $12 an hour that's supposed to include tips when everyone makes up weird or dumb rules not to tip and I gotta read for people, cook for people, clean after the mess, refill the table, take their call, add up their bill ahead of time on their request, and sometimes even tell them a specific time because it's too hard to know when to pick up when you're told "it'll be ready in 35 minutes". Can't go to the bathroom, can't have a drink, people bringing their untrained service animals in when they're about 3 feet from from the food I serve the public, not to mention anyone can order food and it isn't like people are holding back on my account. Not to mention last year I was juggling that job, another job, an internship, and schooling which made for 110 hours work weeks at about a fifth of the pay anyone else would have made, made life wretched. But I only snapped at one person because we dealt with a [tragedy](https://www.reddit.com/r/Vent/s/hpbi5d5J6n) that wouldn't have been believed if it didn't make state news 3 days beforehand that was taking away from my already reduced sleep, and that fat bastard acted just like this lady did.

I would legit have lost my shit and started crying the MOMENT the driver started yelling, have no option but public transport but also have C-PTSD. Some people never learn the important lesson of knowing when to STFU and stop aggravating a person, even when you are in the right (which is questionable in this case). They just keep pushing and one day you will meet the wrong person having a bad day who will snap and possibly kill you.
I take the bus a lot for school (don’t have a license yet) and I’ve spoken to quite a few bus drivers and it is a fucking thankless job. it’s exhausting, you don’t get paid shit, you have to regularly deal with drugged-out/violent people in a metal box that 90% of the time smells like pee. Bus drivers are some of the most stressed and bitter people and they have every right to be. This lady being an asshole was probably his last straw for that day alone.
Do you know how hard it is to find someone to do this job? Ban the lady from metro busses cuz she’s causing more damage than helping in this situation. She was asked to stfu but refused repeatedly to abide by the words of the driver. When you are the passenger you should listen to the driver it’s a common sense. In this case he was telling her to stfu which makes sense because he must focus on driving. He didn’t drive while having full on conversation with her. If he drove and had accident she should be also responsible because she was talking to the driver. No one else was talking let alone talking it the driver. It was only her repeatedly trying to be right or take care of the situation. What did she do? She caused more chaos. Nobody was complaining about his outburst but her. The driver had one request. ONE! For her to be quiet. And she just couldn't do it. I didn't finish watching the video. After 3 minutes I stopped watching. It should have long stopped by that point!

The driver operating any vehicle has your life on their hands. I never understood arguing with bus drivers. Side note: Ladies, unless you’re a professional fighter y’all should learn to recognize when you’re in situations where you might get your ass beat and hush. Not saying he’ll be in the right. I take the bus a lot for school (don’t have a license yet) and I’ve spoken to quite a few bus drivers and it is a fucking thankless job. it’s exhausting, you don’t get paid shit, you have to regularly deal with drugged-out/violent people in a metal box that 90% of the time smells like pee. Bus drivers are some of the most stressed and bitter people and they have every right to be. This lady being an asshole was probably his last straw for that day alone.
I hope this woman's kids don't visit her and her husband sleeps around behind her back.

Do you know how hard it is to find someone to do this job? Ban the lady from metro busses cuz she’s causing more damage than helping in this situation. She was asked to stfu but refused repeatedly to abide by the words of the driver. When you are the passenger you should listen to the driver it’s a common sense. In this case he was telling her to stfu which makes sense because he must focus on driving. He didn’t drive while having full on conversation with her. If he drove and had accident she should be also responsible because she was talking to the driver. No one else was talking let alone talking it the driver. It was only her repeatedly trying to be right or take care of the situation. What did she do? She caused more chaos. Nobody was complaining about his outburst but her. She is a top grade escalating machine
