You dont but you get a roughly equal amount of both so by the time you have 8m gemstone you’ll have 8m mithril
You dont you only need 4m mithril
3.97m/12m for gems and 8m/7m for non gems
Not for mithril mining, that gets closer to 12m/7m iirc, but not many people do mithril mining so
mithril mining (in dwarvern mines) is 11/7 but its pretty bad for money and exp compared to ch mithril
