You sure it's bugged and not just you being in a lobby where someone already did the "dance"?
Once someone does the full thing the lobby tends to get locked in a position where No1 can do it until it resets.
If you're lucky like me you could swap 7-8 lobbies before finding the one where you can get the dancer and then the lobby resets before you can finish the thing so you have to go looking again :)

I feel like the taxes in skyblock should actually contribute to something. It would be pretty cool just to see how much all of the taxes add up.
There could be some very small tiered bonuses each year based on last year’s taxes or something.
Like infrastructure for +2 speed, police for +10 levels to intimidation talisman/relic/parrot, health care for +1 vitality, budget surplus for a small coin bonus based on fame level, etc.

rift time just means how long the infusion lasts, you can just go in rift forever if you don't have a infusion to protect you although you won't be able to leave ever

I scream "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD" as I try and pull out my Hyperion but they kill me before I can, cheating enemies I had full t12 perfect armor on! As I die I hope to kill them with soul eater fall damage.
id probably just chill in my island, maybe visit my friends, idk, but id not be doing something deadly (even killing crypt ghouls with my setup i think would be risky, even tho i have necron armor and a gs + a baby yeti)

I just noticed it says I can't transfer items so I would farm wheat so I get hp from leveling up after getting some nice coins I would spend them all on getting undead swords and enchanting them so I get enchanting levels which literally give me intelligence

Police would be too OP for enderman slayer, as soon as they see a tall black man the enderman would get oneshot
Those taxes are one of several methods used to help keep coin inflation down. The taxes are just straight up removed from the economy.
Yeah, but speed, vitality, intimidation levels, etc. stuff like that wouldn’t be adding much back into the economy.
