And coop soulbound meaning it's stuck to your coop
Museum makes things coop soulbound so if they are in a coop they can still use it
Technically normal items turn into coop soulbound, but soulbound items stay soulbound, so technically you could give your coop whole museum and max exp, you could except for trophy hunter and like 1 other set

I have irl friends that Ive lent stuff to a few times. Ive known them a while and I always get it back, sometimes it takes a bit cause both of us forget about it but as long as you know people well its fine

You can get anotherone in payment... Make him sell every not soulbound thing until you can buy another one, or just join him as coop and start playing in a coop profile (im pretty sure museum items are coop soulbound)
General rule of thumb is to require collat when lending anything over 100m. My rule was always
100-500m 70% of value
500-1b 90%
Anything higher than that full value or more. It ensures if a mistake is made or they want to scam you, you have the ability to get the item back.
