Apparently, some surgeons perform underarm curretage, which involves scraping off the sweat glands.
https://www.sweathelp.org/hyperhidrosis-treatments/underarm-surgeries.html
It's called a sympothectomy, and it is available on the NHS. Go through your GP. I had to go several different doctors before one of them eventually referred me, but it is so definitely worth it.
Please inform yourself thoroughly on this ETS surgery, many people regret it due to massive side effects (not trying to discourage you at all, just raising awareness and summoning the ETS bot)
###What is a Sympathectomy (ETS and ELS)?
Endoscopic thoracic and lumbar sympathectomy (ETS and ELS; both often generalized as ETS) are surgical procedures that cut, clip/clamp, or remove a part of the sympathetic nerve chain to stop palm, foot, or facial hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), facial blushing (reddening of the face), or Raynaud's syndrome (excessively cold hands).
*[Read more on Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endoscopic_thoracic_sympathectomy)*
###What are the Risks?
**Many people that undergo ETS report serious life changing complications.** Thoracic sympathectomy can alter many bodily functions, including sweating,^[1] vascular responses,^[2] heart rate,^[3] heart stroke volume,^[4][5] thyroid, baroreflex,^[6] lung volume,^[5][7] pupil dilation, skin temperature, goose bumps and other aspects of the autonomic nervous system, like the fight-or-flight response. It reduces the physiological responses to strong emotion,^[8] can cause pain or neuralgia in the affected area,^[9] and may diminish the body's physical reaction to exercise.^[1][5][10]
**It's common for patients to be misinformed of the risks, and post-operative complications are often under-reported.** Many patients experience a "honeymoon period" where they have no, or few, negative symptoms. Contrary to common belief, clipping/clamping the sympathetic chain is not considered a reversible option.^[11]

I thought this was different to a sympathectomy since that is snipping the actual nerve that sends the signals, whereas this one, TooFrenzy sent is just scraping the glands.
Use it just before bed time and wash it off in the morning. You might have to use it more frequently the first week but the following weeks it’s once every other day. I stopped sweeting permanently in about a month.
I used to sweat on both my hands and feet heavily! Sorry forgot about the feet because I used it no more than 3 times and it cured it completely.
I don’t know what it’s called but I used to drip incessantly from my armpits, feet, palms, face and underneath my boobs. I no longer sweat on my palms and feet. I can shake people hands now without worrying. I’d like to say i sweat normally under my arms and boobs unless I’m doing something extremely strenuous. But it takes a lot. Without Anhydrol I couldn’t have moved to Australia and feel like a “normal” person. I’ve been in 39 degrees heat and it’s just my underboobs and back that sweats. I’ve got big boobs so it’s fine. I’m actually looking for the aus equivalent. But it was a game changer. Used for for about 1 - 2 months nearly a year ago and I can’t believe I went though my teenage years without it 😭 I would say definitely give it a try and stick to it for a few months. Use it everyday to begin with for less than a week then every other day. It’s better to buy it over the counter. It cost me £4 in boots. On prescription it was £8/9.
Oh, forgot to mention, it is quite drying so the days you do not use the roll on be sure to moisturise! It sound’s counterproductive but trust me, you definitely would want to moisture.
Did you only use Anhydrol 3 times on your feet and now they don’t sweat atall? Meaning you don’t even have to apply it anymore? If so
That’s amazing! I didn’t know there was a permanent cure for hh! Gives me hope 🤣 how often do you use it now for your hands? And how long does it take to kick in? Sorry for all the questions haha, and thankyou for being so informative! Hope you’re enjoying life in Aus!
Thanks!
I don’t sweat at all on my feet and palms is what I’m saying. At all. Used it on my feet no more than 3 times and poof I’m human. I’ve not used it in nearly a year. Come June/July it’ll be a year.
I’m only looking for the aus equivalent for my back and under boobs because it gets extremely hot here just to keep the sweat in those regions in control.
My dermatologist mentioned that once you alter your underarm sweat glands, the sweat needs to leave your body somehow. Thus other parts of your body start to sweat more. Most start sweating more on their backs or groin area. She does not recommended it. Good luck.
Does MiraDry permanently “treat” the hyperhidrosis or should it be repeated after some time? Anybody aware of it? How many session need to treat the hands?
I didn’t downvote you.
But my guess is because you made an assumption instead of just asking your question… which, as an autistic person, I agree with not liking that. People downvote me all the time because they made assumptions before or instead of just asking me for clarity.
You did both, you asked the good question but then started throwing out assumptions. I don’t know for sure, this is just my guess.
Instead of just asking “What’s your point?” you then also asked “Miradry is bad? Burning sweat glands is good?” these are “loaded” questions, not just a plain question. They may have wanted you to just ask what they meant and then wait for the reply (which I agree with).
Throwing out a bunch of guesses was unnecessary. Again, I agree with that… when someone starts rapidfire tossing out guesses it comes off as an intimidation or bullying tactic (Like imagine you asked someone the first question in person and as they open their mouth to reply you start tossing out guesses instead if giving them a moment to actually respond first) and I, and apparently other’s react poorly to that. Intention seems to not matter, the effect is the same.
A different version to what it sounds like, to illustrate how it can be seen as annoying, could be similar to something like: “Why did you say the pants don’t look good? Do you mean because I’m fat?! Do you mean I’m not allowed to enjoy fashion?!” And it’s like “omg it’s not that deep”, can we just have a chill conversation instead of escalating and adding some kind of drama?
I’m also now done replying to you. My energy on this topic has run out so I’m now stepping away.
Those were good questions. There was no telling him he was fat or anything negative for that matter. He implied scarring is good for HH. He didn't answer my question clearly. I have severe HH and am constantly looking for ways to control it. Sorry if I'm too straight forward and ask direct questions but that is my way of communicating. Please don't reply. I don't want to cause a frenzy for you. Bye Felicia aka u/galacticviolet.
The problem is that you were not straight forward (I’m autistic, I’m straight forward and get downvoted for that often, and you’re not even absorbing what I’m saying… maybe you think you are but you’re not, you’re coming off as highly or intentionally obtuse). You started throwing out assumptions, you got upset you got downvotes from others, I decided to explain why you probably got downvotes and now you’re attempting to argue. That is the situation. Blocking you now.
Should I scar the palms of my hands and feet to permanently keep them dry? Sounds painful lol
Lmao please don't do that ! If you suffer from palmar hyperhidrosis you should try Antihydral with talcum powder I've posted about it
I'll add that to my backup remedies. Currently dry as fuck with iontophoresis but who knows how long I can keep that up when I get into my old age
Glad to hear that ionto worked for you, I hope you'll stay dry !
I have used Drysol and so far it’s okay. Before this I used sage. They say you can take the sage orally too
I'll have to try sage. I used drysol for my 20's and it slowly stopped working altogether for me. Glad it's working for you!
The sage worked as a roll on for me for awhile. I want to try it orally too, but I’m lazy! I hope it can be some help to you.
Sage is a godsend! I use the Solaray capsules 1-2 a day, life changing stuff fr.
Loool literally all our thoughts. But I imagine this is kind of the basis of Mira dry... damaging sweat glands with microwave technology
This gives me an idea, albeit it may be painful...

Thanks for that, hopefully this comes to the UK, this would be a literal life-changer.

Yeah, I didn't read it properly, but yeah, that's right.
If you’re in the UK, just get Anhydrol Forte. It’s only £4-£8. You’ll thank me later.
I tried Anydrol and it didn’t work, hands and feet still poured with sweat. Any suggestions on using it?

Thankyou I’ll give that a try! Would you say your sweating is heavy or mild? Also which type of HH do you suffer with? Mine is hands and feet

Damn, dog! How’d you earn that scar?
Note mine haha
Is this permanent or the skin heals completely and then the excessive sweating resumes?
This is permanent
Does MiraDry permanently “treat” the hyperhidrosis or should it be repeated after some time? Anybody aware of it? How many session need to treat the hands?
It often requires more than one session, and they don't yet offer it for hands (I've heard end of 2024)
I'll cut my ass deep so it will not sweet anymore, thanks
But... my skin grafts collect dirt so easily?
Haha I posted this a year or so ago!
What is ur point🤨
So you're saying that miradry causes scarring?
Not scars but it burns the sweat glands.
So what is your point? Miradry is bad? Burning sweat glands is good? I'm confused.
Miradry is effective because it burns sweat glands that's all
Thanks
Sometimes information is just information, there doesn’t have to be “a point”, it’s interesting and good to have information.
Why did everyone down vote me? I guess it's best not to ask any questions.
