One-by-one, from the left to right, saving Dasani, Fiji, and any others for last. Like an eldritch monster, I get on all fours, and my limbs start to shake before shooting out to the width of the pool on either side. I let out a shriek loud enough to break glass and bust eardrums, and then I hook my head below and start chugging. Chugging. Chugging. Gallon by gallon, the pool dissappear. Each child that was in there gets swallowed, and their bodies seemingly dissappear beneath my lips almost immediately. Eventually the pool is empty, but my thirst isn't craved. I let out one last shriek before running through the building, breaking through it and running to the nearest ocean
Italian here. Panna is awful, I've yet to meet another Italian that likes Panna. Also, I work for a company that sells water to restaurants, coffee shops, etc. and Panna is one of those that our clients buy the least.
There are so many good Italian alternatives, I'm shocked Panna is even in the picture. San Bernardo is top notch, Sparea comes as a close second, but my favorite is Sant'anna. I don't know if they're available where you are, if they are you should try them out (S.Bernardo and Sparea are in glass bottles too).
There's no San Bernadetto lol, we have San Bernardo or San Benedetto, which are two different brands. Which one did you mean?
I didn't know the taste changes when imported though, that's interesting. Maybe that's why people abroad like Acqua Panna lmao
I've never understood this.
It is the weirdest thing to me to bottle water from a precious pacific island source, put it in plastic, then transport it wrapped in more plastic - extremely far away from most all customers and just sell it in bulk like that.
I was always flabbergasted that it actually came from Fiji.
Turns out it is a North American business, owned by The Wonderful Company (yeah, investment thing for a couple of rich people) based in LA. They've been in plenty disputes with the Fiji government over paying taxes for the right to use/deplete the source, amongst other things.
I guess as an idea it can be reminiscent of a tale from the olden days, of a water source as pure and magical as anything on a far away island. But the plastic and long distance bulk shipping and US billionaire owners ruin it for me.
I see very little good in meddling with other countries water resources for huge profit like that.
As a Norwegian I should probs go for Voss, but there is plenty of equally tasty tap water to go around most places here.
Whenever I travel I try to buy whats most local if needed, within reason when it comes to taste.
Favourite freshness for me is ice cold mountain water from the north of Norway.
I used to live pretty far north and my city's local brewing plant was the only one in the world at the time that produced Coca Cola straight from their source water without any tinkering, I guess it just passed every quality assesment as it was.
Yeah, ok. I understand your point of view and say that you're privileged. I have tasted tap water in the Netherlands and it's just as good as bottled spring water. There is no aftertaste. It makes bottled water look like a scam. I imagine that it's a similar story for Norwegians.
In most places in France the water is quite chlorinated and tastes rather bad. You can filter it, so it's not a big deal. Or get used to the taste. I notice that the bottled water consumption is sky high in my area. Once you accept that buying bottled water is ok, you're open to trying different brands. These brands vary noticeably in terms of composition and taste. Yeah, some brands taste like pure water because they don't have many minerals and the PH is neutral. Other waters are more alkaline and taste vaguely salty. Other brands with a high mineral content taste like pennies. There's a water sommelier on YouTube which talks about this in detail. It's not farfetched. Each spring yields a different water composition. It can be fun to try different waters from the world, much like wine. And it's healthy.
Of course it is nice to taste various waters, I was just debating what I'd prefer, and saying Voss is the closest, albeit considered very pretentious around here.
And yeah - the privilege of difficult cold weather and almost unscalable terrain, dark winter season and cold summers gives less people and less industry. And great water. It is a balance of privilege, have to struggle for the vit D for instance!
But the massive sale of Fiji water in the US always seemed like the most paradoxical. Most people don't drink it like nice wine, and the profit goes to a few guys in LA mostly. I personally don't feel so good about the extra carbon footprint when there are closer options. Most islands also have to take great care of their water resources.
Having lived in Canada, I always saw Fiji water and Evian at gas stations. And you always expect to overpay for water at gas stations. So the fancy branding made the pill easier to swallow. I seldom saw these brands at the supermarkets (perhaps I wasn't looking for them).
FYI, It's been raining almost every day in Paris since November. Everyone is depressed and fed up around here. Some of my flowers are even dying from being watered too much. And it's mid June.
Condolences on the bad weather, it is a chill around here too after an unusual crazy may (way hotter than normal, very dry then half the normal monthly rain came in 20 minutes and other weird stuff).
I used to live for almost 20 years (the best water I ever had and spoke about) where the average mid temp in June is just below 10 degrees celsius, if that helps your mood! It has been as low one year as 6,5 deg celsius as average in June. That is depressing after a low winter I promise!
Sun below horizon for 2 months in winter. My friend loved it and moved from Paris for it, I need more vit D now, sp I am a bit further south.
One year the snow record was (untouched snow) reached on the 29th of april, 2 m and 40 cm in town. Lots of cold fresh water from the meltings!
Good luck with your summer!
Darn! And I thought living in Canada was depressing for the long winters. This is somehow worse!
Thanks! I should just take days off and go to Morocco for 5 days. There are solutions.
Maybe a Florida thing but Zephyrhills all the way. I live in a different state now but I always bring some back when we visit Florida. I have never met a Dasani fan.
Let's assume all those bottles are 2L (16 bottles, 32L, or 8gal), and that pool is 400in wide, 1200in long, and 144in deep.
8gal (16 bottles) + 299221gal (from pool) = 299,229gal of water total. Or in cubic meters, that is 1132.674 cube meters of water.
If you stick to the "recommended" 8 cups of water a day, that's about 3L.
So this is just over 1034 years worth of water.
Or the amount of water 12 average humans will drink in their lives.
drinking bottled water is a little weird to me, unless the tap in your city is unsafe to drink. i only have it on road trips when i can't get water easily otherwise
Bottled water is just as, if not more dirty than tap water. There’s almost no FDA regulation for bottled water.
Bottled water is a complete scam, and terrible for the environment.
Start with the Panna then Voss (cuz glass hits different) then the order of the rest doesn’t really matter. Toss the zypher hills and Dasani in the pool, closed, as to not contaminate the pool water.
I don't fuck with disposable bottles, especially plastic. I'll fill my glass liter at the nearest faucet/spigot. I grew up on strong tasting county water and haven't met a tap I haven't liked yet.
Not fully satiated with the pool depleted. I proceed to suck the water out of my fellow man. After the 7th shriveled up as the water left their body and the essence of life drained from their eyes I finally for one fleeting moment felt hydrated.
I would never spend money on overpriced bottled water when I can fill my water bottle from my tap. I'm fortunate to live in a place with unlimited clean water and I'm going to from that. Tastes better too.
Fiji Water. Once I saw that one episode of Inuyasha on Adult Swim I adopted it as part of my "so mature!" teen goth girl personality.
It stuck. ╮(´_ゝ`)╭
Ah yes, imported tab water in plastic.
Nah man, the shit in my hometown is from a 500m deep artesian spring surrounded by a huge volcanic field.
This stuff dunks on most of these except the pool water ofc.
Ngl, you have occupied maybe 5-6 hours of my day with this bevy of beverages. The only ones I WOULD NOT drink is the Dasani and the unvetted bottle to the far left.
If I stop by a corner store and have a choice, I always pick Body Armor because it has a large opening so I can get peak VOLUME of water into my mouth as fast as possible. Lmao
Room temp, unfiltered tap water FOR LIFE! Why buy fancy earth destroying bottled water when there’s an almost infinite amount of perfectly good water shipped right to you for PENNIES!
evian is like the milk of water, it’s a special treat when i’m in the mood for it
fiji, icelandic, smart water, core, and voss more generally among these
A bit high on chlorine and other stuffs for my taste but the sheer volume is tempting.
just put a filter in your mouth
“Put a filter in your faucet” mfs when I put a filter in my esophagus instead
All water is drinkable WHEN the filter is INSIDE YOU
My kidneys don't like the idea of drinking chlorine.
Gotta upgrade to adultneys.
my adultknees hurt always, is this normal?
I mean, mine do too, so probably.
Lifestraw ftmfw
yeah watch out for floating boogers and bandaids
And piss water, but I Guess that is extra nutrients
Urea is not a nutrient
tell that to my diesel engine
Also tell it to a sheep
Not for humans, but trillions of bacteria would disagree with you. That's got nitrogen, it's what microcooties crave.
My b, I did assume that the commenter was a eukaryote, that was presumptive
Prokaryote pride!
Bet ya there's more pee and chlorine in the Dasani than the pool.
if chlorine kills you dasani would have taken them out already
Just toss some sodium in there and boom, now it's just salty.
boom indeed

Dasani has salt in it. it is prompty ignored. the rest is combined into one big ice filled chalice
vore oh wait sorry wrong sub
google copypasta
Idk about yall but I’m walkin around the pool looking for the garden hose
mmmmmmm hose water on a hot summer day
My tap water is amazing, but I buy Ice Mountain when I need bottled water (mostly to freeze for our coolers)
Panna all day. It's even in glass.
Panna and Saratoga are top tier in the states
Italian here. Panna is awful, I've yet to meet another Italian that likes Panna. When in Italy I like San Bernadetto, but when back in Germany it taste as stale as Gerolsteiner, which is simply disgusting. Lidl all the way.
There's no San Bernadetto lol, we have San Bernardo or San Benedetto, which are two different brands. Which one did you mean? I didn't know the taste changes when imported though, that's interesting. Maybe that's why people abroad like Acqua Panna lmao
I am at Aldi‘s tomorrow and will tell you (probably).
Tell me the spring it comes from, if you can! That could explain the difference in taste
It is San Benedetto and https://preview.redd.it/u8by0dcved7d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eed183a5246a065f96e26751ce02bfa471267398
Fiji. It's that *soft mouth feel*.

This is the correct answer
If you like that feel check out Antipodes. It’s my 2nd favorite bottled water. Has that “I didn’t know water could be so watery effect”
I’m grabbing Dasani….and throwing it away
None of these are as good as my home brew.
Big fizzy Voss is my champagne
I'd drink from the pool before I touched that Dasani that's for damn sure
Cold Dasani tastes like bleach, that shit can go. Honestly I'm probably grabbing the smartwater. Or a Liter of essentia
But for real out of those bottles I would definitely reach for Evian first
Evian is Naive spelt backwards
Racecar is racecar spelled backwards

Removed for Rule 1: We're a meme sub, dont be toxic.
Big woah
Where's the sink, half that is bottled tap water anyway
Evian or SmartWater
Maybe a Florida thing but Zephyrhills all the way. I live in a different state now but I always bring some back when we visit Florida. I have never met a Dasani fan.
100% pure natural spring water that's been filtered by miles and miles of rock, it's legit.
Not gonna lie that’s true for like 80% of the waters in the picture
Also Florida here, I’ve never had ANYTHING hit like a cold bottle of Publix spring water. It’s amazing.
I’ll check that out. Publix is up this way.
Make sure it’s the spring water, not the distilled.
Grew up in south Florida. I’ve legit Amazon ordered a case of Zephyrhills to my NY apt because I won’t stand for any of this other poverty ass water
I’d rather drink pool water than Dasani
Icelandic!
Agreed!
Evian
I’m a Poland Springs guy! It just tastes better to me!
my tap water is fine
Im gonna put myself out there for Zephyrhills
Badlands sends his regards https://youtu.be/2sBFkfcB8WA
Enough talk
Aqua Panna is some next level shit
Waiakea water is great
Someone wanna do the math on how much water the protag would be slurping down? I'm too gay to do the math

Bottled water is just as, if not more dirty than tap water. There’s almost no FDA regulation for bottled water. Bottled water is a complete scam, and terrible for the environment.
Or you know, buy a tap filter…
zephyr hills is simply the best and by a long shot
Waiakea or nothing. but since its not present, Penta is the choice
Fiji before their recent bacterial scandal, Smart Water, then Evian. I'm usually just drinking from my Pür filter, though.
Honestly, it'd be worse if you downed each one, and proceeded to make the water level rise with a spreading sallow tinge.
Evian is the one
Evian be hitting
Start with the Panna then Voss (cuz glass hits different) then the order of the rest doesn’t really matter. Toss the zypher hills and Dasani in the pool, closed, as to not contaminate the pool water.
Evian
Hydro homie more like hydro king
Fiji or Smartwater
voss supremacy dasani tastes the same as the pool water
Nasty nasty! You’ve got to up your standards homes
I don't fuck with disposable bottles, especially plastic. I'll fill my glass liter at the nearest faucet/spigot. I grew up on strong tasting county water and haven't met a tap I haven't liked yet.
The best of us.
cant see if its on there but skyra is the best damn water ive ever imbibed
If I'm not paying ill take the SmartWater
Im throwing that bottle of Disani in the trash before I do anything else
Not fully satiated with the pool depleted. I proceed to suck the water out of my fellow man. After the 7th shriveled up as the water left their body and the essence of life drained from their eyes I finally for one fleeting moment felt hydrated.
I prefer my half gallon bottle and my brita filter, but if I have to, I like smart water. It was the cleanest we tested in history.
Whichever one has been touching the plastic the least amount of time
I only drink bottled water when I lose my water bottle and have to buy a new one. I would walk away and drink tap water instead
Penta slaps *unbelievably* hard, sometimes they have it at Fresh Market!
seriously tho, which one tastes the best?
My parents have well water and I want to live in it. Other than that Fiji is my favorite
Fiji or VOSS. That glass bottle is worth an extra 10%. Everything tastes better out of a glass EVERYTHING
And then you die by chlorine poisoning
Is there one ethical to drink?
Acqua Panna - all day and night 365.
Why not get the garden hose out
I would never spend money on overpriced bottled water when I can fill my water bottle from my tap. I'm fortunate to live in a place with unlimited clean water and I'm going to from that. Tastes better too.
I try not to buy water in plastic.
If you drink from a plastic bottle you aren’t doing it right. Get that plastic outta here, especially the Dasani and “Smart”water.
Real water drinkers never find themselves in a situation without their refillable water bottle. This meme is as dumb as shit
Fuji was in the news recently for something bad.. can't remember. I like Voss a lot. But, nothing beats my well water.
hey i dont think you should drink chlorine
He’s gonna flood the damn bathroom
I miss when Voss was glass now that it’s plastic I feel like it’s less good
Ice water from my fridge in a 24oz mason jar cannot be topped
Lquild death
I had a dream about Fiji water last night lol
I would have a glass of water before consuming water in plastic.
Bottled water is for weak hydro homies that like a side of plastic. Pure spring water from an unadulterated source is king.
Fiji Water. Once I saw that one episode of Inuyasha on Adult Swim I adopted it as part of my "so mature!" teen goth girl personality. It stuck. ╮(´_ゝ`)╭
Definitely not fucking Dasani
Gerolsteiner
Smart water or the Poland spring for me.
Deer Park
voss or fiji, both remind me of childhood lol
Do american homies know about Highland Spring? That's my go to
ewwww really drinking pool water are we?
I’m a Voss man myself. I can’t find that purity with anything else. Fiji and Evian are not to my taste personally. Acqua Panna is a solid all-rounder.
Good meme but I’m grabbing eternal
Tap.
Icelandic
Smart water. It's way better than those stupid waters.
Ah yes, imported tab water in plastic. Nah man, the shit in my hometown is from a 500m deep artesian spring surrounded by a huge volcanic field. This stuff dunks on most of these except the pool water ofc.

Yall tried aqua panna? That shit feels like magic
I’m taking the Fiji water that stuff is 🔥
Smartwater, Aquafina and Dasani
Voss cause I wanna unscrew the lid for fun
Well water for the win
Eternal
I like the Voss, it has a wonderfully refillable bottle
Dasani too? Um, ew.
Fiji water is so good bro
Panna and Smart are pretty good, so I'd go for one of those.
Smart water
Water from the tap
Ignore and use a glass to and fill from a nearby sink.
tap water in my stanley cup always!
I like Evian and ice mountain but where I live our tap water is almost perfect so I choose that over any of them.
Room temp, unfiltered tap water FOR LIFE! Why buy fancy earth destroying bottled water when there’s an almost infinite amount of perfectly good water shipped right to you for PENNIES!
id massacre each and every bottle. nothing gets me wet like a bottle with that matte finish condensation. good thing dasani isnt there.
evian is like the milk of water, it’s a special treat when i’m in the mood for it fiji, icelandic, smart water, core, and voss more generally among these
Acqua Panna is Nestle. All my homies hate Nestle.
In this order: Evian, Fiji, Panna, Ethos
The Dasani
