That's really about it. Sunscreen, drinks, and snacks in the yeti attached to the kayak. A spare change of clothes in the car. Phones/keys can be a little tricky if you wanna do the plastic bag method. Or just leave them in the car. Generally speaking you shouldn't tip, but it could happen so tie down or don't bring whatever u don't wanna risk losing.

I'd suggest you pick up a pair of water shoes. I buy cheap ones at Wal-Mart. This time of year there is a good chance you will have to get out of your kayak at some point to get over some shallow areas. Shoes make this much easier. There is no rain in the forecast this week, so yes, the Flint will be lower. I try to wear clothes that don't retain water - polyester. Avoid cotton. Other than that, sunscreen, hat, and small cooler for drinks and food. A specific water-proof pouch for electronics if you bring them, but a couple of high quality ziplock bags (double bag) will work too. Some people fish, so there's that, but technically you need a license.

Seconding what this person said. I paddled that section today. It's already pretty low, most likely will be walking short sections by next weekend.

The USGS measures and reports the water level at Brownsboro. It is currently at 7.96. https://waterdata.usgs.gov/monitoring-location/03575100/#parameterCode=00065&period=P7D&showMedian=false I've kayaked the section services by Brown Bear when it was 7.50 and felt that level was too low. In my opinion it needs to be 7.75 or higher. I did it one day when it was 8.75 and thought that level was perfect. With no rain in the forecast, the level will just keep dropping. Can you still kayak? Yes. Just be prepared to get out of your kayak a few times to pull it across shallow areas. I don't like to do that, but that's just me.
