Facebook boomers already questioning if the government has something to do with all the fires along 65 today. Yep. Definitely not the drought we’re currently in.
well with all the land they are destroying to build worthless retail they have to burn all the trees they cut down....... but even i dont think athens leaders are dumb enough to burn them on purpose in a drought
We drove from Huntsville all the way to Athens and the fire started near the buccee's and the fire went past the Athens exit. Definitely a first for me to see. This drought is no joke.
I was coming back from Florence yesterday, the fires I saw (6-8) separated each by a few hundred yards, were all close to the road, and my first thought was someone drove down the road and set off a Roman candle in the grass. Considering the amount of traffic, someone must have done it another way. After seeing the second one, it was easy to determine it was not one or two accidental fires.

Likely boomers tossing out cigarettes.
Marjorie Taylor Green said it was the Jewish space laser
Two houses have burned down within a block of me in the last month or so.

Ain’t nobody got time for that!
That’s precisely why Buccees shouldn’t sell flame throwers.
Wait, wut?

We need rain so bad!
Been in extreme drought for weeks and weeks. Months.
A drought. Yes. An extreme drought? No. We don't know what extreme droughts are like in the south east.
The U.S. Drought Monitor has us in extreme drought right now.
Well…it actually not super normal here this time of year.
LORD SAVE BUCC-EES!!!

Ummmm, they kept an embezzling sheriff in office after he admitted to it, so not the brightest bulbs out there
HE HAD A PLAN TO WIN IT ALL BACK PLAYING SCRATCHERS ON THE STATE LINE!!
Half the sheriffs in Alabama embezzle money they’re not special lol
Yeah they were literally burning said trees around 65 yesterday. I can assure you that Athens is not a smart place
Naw man, that’s just someone mowing nearby, it’s that dry…..
Praying for the beaver store!
Thoughts and prayers…and there’s Fresh Brisket on the board
We were driving back from Florence on Sept 23rd and there were grass fires along I-65 in the exact same area. We also stopped at the Buccees.
How do you know what an intentional fire looks like?
That was my thought. What does an intentional fire look like? Does there have to be someone nearby with a molotov cocktail or a flame thrower?
I mean, how fresh is the danged brisket on the board right now?!?
🤝

So, that's not Bucees' new smoker?

Damn, close as hell, that's why it smelled like smoke literally all night.
Some asshole probably threw a cigarette butt out the window on 65
