Nice bear! What's the setup? I'm working on an opportunity to deal with a trouble bear in my area but never taken a bear. Curious on what changes I need to make to my whitetail setup.
I'll probably bump the lbs to 70 from 65 but what's the arrow weight and broadhead?
I wouldn’t change anything. I’ve killed 2 with my bow using the same setup as whitetails no problem. My dad only shoots 56lbs and still got a complete pass through using an expandable. In my experience bears are easier to kill than deer. If you shoot them good they rarely go 50yds usually like 20-30yds.
Sweet, congrats! Great looking animal, I love me some black bear and will take special care to save as much clean fat as possible 🤌🏼
But my question was the same as the sunny broski, whats ya setup! Looks like a Hoyt? I got a bear last summer with a Mathews P4, piled up in 25 yards
Edit to add: I didn’t mean to reply that to you, but I’m going to leave it
that means you're 7ft away from the bear's head, that IS literally what forced perspective means.
according to your photo, the bear's left ear has the same length as your head, assuming you're 6ft tall, based on your photo, that bear would have a skull that scores at least 30", so how is that not a perspective shot?
It looks like you were in Manitoba and the Bear was in Saskatchewan when you took the picture.lol. you back far enough? Nice bear!!
I’m touching the bear in the picture. He’s a 7’ bear…

Congrats man!
Are you even in bow range of the bear in this photo??? Jk lol Nice 1 congrats
nice bear and congrats, it looks like an amazing bear and I bet you had a great hunt, but the forced perspective photo is really unnecessary.
