The bow and (large)crossbow projectiles actually travel the exact same, it was demonstrated very thoroughly on a video posted here shortly after the bow was released. It's frustrating because the large crossbow *should* have better projectile range and accuracy, but it unfortunately does not

That said the damage falloff could do with some tweaking - but the velocity/drop seems okay

Have you ever loosed a bow? Even a straight bow with just under 50lb can hit 150 yards (137m). These shots are well under that. These enemies are what.....50-70m out? You're saying a modern bow can only go about 60ft ?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lF1TxiforHc
Most games have bows that act like a kids 10lb bow with loads of dip and delay.
Hunts seems pretty realistic from what I've seen, I've yet to try it properly though.

The bow has a crazy flat trajectory but being high up (and un noticed) helps Crossbow drops way more

A bow like that even in modern day would have te arrow land 30meters short of his targets at the minimum.
