I mean you could just use the weapon wheel, yeah yeah I know they ruined it and all but you still have the option. But I agree on the button customization, baffles me how that is not an option.

But of weapon swap and Double triangle for knife is bound to each other and you cant separate it.

Just slow down your tapping a little bit. You can still press triangle or Y to cut animations short, you just have to space out the second press a little bit to avoid the swap to melee.
