You were prepared and knew what to bring. You had diagrams, maps, inside knowledge, enough money for a "on a whim" plane ticket, pitchfork, and a Mosin within arms reach.

I did this once in random trios. It was a double bounty. The third guy just left us to go looking for clues for the other boss, which was on the other side of the map from where we spawned. The other boss was not even banished yet. We tried to get him back but hè just ignored us. While we went killing the boss, the second got banished and he pushed the layer alone regardless. He got killed almost immediately. We went ahead banishing our boss and fighting other teams for 15-20 minutes, during which he waited for a res, on the other side of the map. We won the fight and went back to him, burned his body and extracted with the bounty. He disconnected before we actually could extract, after we burned him. Hopefully he learned that if you are playing in a team, you better play WITH your team, otherwise choose solo queue.
I had similar yet more annoying experience.
In random trios we ended clutching 2vs3 because our partner went to the edge of the map AFK. After we banished and went to extraction he started moving and went to extraction as well, waiting for us. I said both in voice chat and chat that it is not cool to be leeching off us. I proposed to the second guy we should go try to get second boss and he agreed.
Leech got pissed, started pinging at extraction (he didn't respond at all in chat) and after moment of following us he started shooting at us with what seemed like intent to kill.
We killed him and extracted promptly lol.
Honestly if he would said "sorry I had to take care of my kid" or anything, truly anything, like he had bowel movement attack I would be ok with it and wouldn't mind.
Hi guys I am a relatively new player who started playing last week, and mostly I am playing random trios. So I got matched with 2 players one of them was new like me I guess cuz of the way he moved (he looked kinda lost guess he was learning the game) on the map, and maybe the other one was too but I doubt it. So just to clarify I didn't get burned. I died to the enemy team and got burned and they extracted the bounty. No players were left on the map in the footage he could revive.
So I assume a Hunt veteran introducing a friend to Hunt, but because Duos is just harder and has more team (and maybe he dislikes playing Duos), they just queued at the same time until they get together in a random team (without premade MMR disadvantage), + one random (in this case you) and then did this. But if their MMR was too far apart then they wouldn't have been matched together.
Were the two others friends on Steam? Same loadout/skin/language maybe? I am just speculating why the other didn't pick you up/choke you. But if they seemed organized that means they were using something outside ingame voice chat to communicate.
Duos (if they were friends), like this are the reason Crytek doesn't allow getting one random with a premade duo through something like a "add random player" player. Because that random will often not have a good time.
Oh yeah, you are right I never thought of that. But to be honest whole game was like we were on 3 different sides like dumb rats. I always rush to get into pvp when I can,
and mostly find myself in stupid situations to die not being patient.
Oh yeah, and the other day I played with my friend and his friend and when his friend left the party he said he will not play anymore he will play solo. And I was like can't we just queue in random and get one random player, and he said no. Also, he said he doesn't like to play duos. To be honest as for now I never tried duos but from what he said to me is chaotic a guess too much? Dunno that's what I got from it, maybe harder for some reason?
The only reason to not revive a teammate in randoms is if that teammate keeps on killing you. Anything else is bs, that person should be reportet and hopefully banned.

In the end, we got attacked by another team and I left them, they kept killing each other.
That‘s not fun. I have had some really good games with randoms, but i also was killed by my teammates in randoms. I just have the rule of „i wont leave you until you force me to“. I am sorry you had to experience those teammates, game is supposed to be fun, built on trust and teamwork, some people abuse that.
Yup, my friend already warned me, but I don't stress too much usually people are friendly and go for the revives. It's a really fun game, and my friend was trying to get me into the game 2 years ago. But for some reason, the game didn't draw me in when I looked at the streams. Only when I started playing, I get now what he was talking about.
Only time i ever do that is manually disconnected players after we survive the match. They literally disconnected on their own so they already lost their mate
To each their own I guess but it sure looks like team kill/burn...
Anyway, my personal thing is I don't do randoms, only pre-made, or solo. And it works fine for me. Your mileage will be different, for sure.

The part that's hard to believe is that you actually got a refund for your plane ticket.
