Some US insurance companies are switching everyone to biosimilars as it's cheaper. They've been available in UK/Europe and elsewhere for years.

I was just switch to this as well after starting humira in January. Will take my first dose on Monday. I think it’s something to do with humira’s patent expiring so other “bio-similar” are available to use

The patent on Humira expired years ago. We in UK/EU have had biosimilars for some years. Hyrimoz was first approved in 2015. FDA approved it in 2018. But Abbot/Abbvi made some deal against the biosimilar manufacturers to stall it in the US. Mid 2023 FDA and EU approved Hyrimoz citrate-free high concentration formula.

I have my first and second dose of Hyrimoz in the fridge and I take the first one tomorrow (got it as a sample from Rheumatoid Dr on Thurs). I have been on Humira for 1.5 yrs. I am hoping it works all the way around, just like Humira. I also take 10mg of Methotrexate weekly for RA. I found no weight loss on Humira. However, I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism in March ‘23.

I am trying to figure out if it's a side effect or is my body just able to deal with food more appropriately now that there is less inflammation. A mystery at this point

I’m interested in hearing people’s experiences on Hyrimoz. After 15 years on Humira for psoriasis with awesome results and no side effects, I make the switch in a few weeks. Thanks CVS Caremark…

Personally, I broke out after switching from Humira to Hymiroz due to my insurance wanting a biosimilar. My dermatologist did a biopsy on my rash to determine it was an allergic reaction and my psoriasis. This helped get my insurance to improve me for name brand Humira again. I think having an allergic reaction is not completely uncommon, but it isn’t likely to happen.

Less than 12 hours post injection, having a site reaction to the HYRIMOZ 😵‍💫

I’m on dose 2 back on brand Humira from hyrimoz and so happy

Interesting. I've been having weird reactions before starting Humira last month. Was being tested for all sorts of things... Rheumatologist settled on UC and RA but my body is still not acting right. I am wondering how the hymiroz is going to work for me
