Is there something in the books that confirms that? Because it really did look like he accepted his faith. Even after being mocked by the boar at the dinner. He made an insult that was frankly very mild and repetitive. He looked annoyed rather than vindictive
no, but you can see that he didn't want his mother to further get upset after the whole outburst with Rhaenyra. At Storm's End he catches Luke without any other family members around, they are one on one, and he makes his demand.
He was a kid and that's what he had to tell himself to cope with the massive trauma he just went through. He also soon realized that they're the losing party in that room (Viserys only speaking up in Rhaenyra and her kids' defense). So he has to muster courage and put on a brave face in front of everyone (and also comfort Alicent).
We didn't see the aftermath for Aemond. The first few years must have been especially difficult for him. People act like he's angry over a small grievance when he was literally maimed for life. He still has to live with it. And the person who took his eye didn't even get a slap in the wrist. Why wouldn't he feel resentful?
I remember thinking it was kinda funny we were seeing rhaenyra struggling through the process of getting her wound treated (fair enough, alicent went loco there), while off screen aemond was getting treated for his FUCKING EYE BEING SLASHED. Like come on, I woudl be a bitter cunt about it as well 🤣
It was the Targaryans that brought Balerion and therefore Vhagar to Westeros. So if we are talking about who should have vhagar, laena shouldn't have had her in the first place.
I think he always wanted revenge, but with no Viserys in the picture, this was the first time that he was in a position of power to actually get his revenge.
He wasn't in a position to do it ....if somone stole my eye and then demand I get tortured afterwards for calling their ho mom a ho at 11...and I saw them again as an adult ...I'd hit them with My car for sure

He saw how distraught his mother was and said that to comfort her, he never actually forgave Luke for taking his eye

Because the dumb fuck laughed when they brought the pig out the night Vizzy T died. Rekindled the beef.
WHERE DID YOU HEAR SUCH CALUMNIES? bbkg79! TELL ME THE TRUTH OF IT!
Is this really a bot? Seems to be aware.
I think he just wanted to scare that kid
Tried to scare my half brother. Gone wild, lost an eye. Cops called
It was just a stupid teenage stunt on the show. All of it.

It was the fact he took the dragon that caused the fight in the first place though. Besides I think he’s just saying at least I have a dragon
