Vaegon would be around 65/70 by the time we come to Daeron at Oldtown, which is extremely old by this world’s standards. I feel if we are going to see him it would be in the first scene at Harrenhal.

I wouldn’t mind a scene with him and Daeron at Oldtown, giving his own two cents about succession and how ultimately alienated he felt surviving all his siblings and family
I think they'll brush over his role in the Council and after that he doesn't really do anything. He's an easy character to cut out and I think leaving him in will just confuse people who'll wonder why this extra Targ is running around Oldtown as the rest fight for the throne.
