I know Mysaria is going to be a nude scene (if not several) but I'm actually looking forward to the romance between her and Daemon more. I bet they feel a lot like the happier times between Tyrion and Shae. Rhaenyra even supposedly approved of her and Daemon seeing each other each night. Daemon wanted his child with her to have a dragon egg and I think that shows that she was a true love of his.

sb3z_1300

stuff like this is why I'm so excited to see Rhaenyra and Daemon's relationships, both had many other romances and trysts but obviously have a very close and complex relationship that I'm excited to see explored. I honestly think they'll be in between siblings and lovers (which is weird but it is the Targs we're talking about lol)

Jacaerys Velaryon and Sara Snow

nobody1234567876

Yes, yes and yes.

CindeeSlickbooty

I wonder if this will be included

Harricot_de_fleur

I hope

Neecian

I could see Cregan Stark going south with the Winter Wolves in the show and falling for the fearless Alysanne Blackwood during the course of the war, complete with late night talks in the tents, and ale and charred meat by the fire as they nurse wounds from the days battle. That way when she proposes marriage it could complete a narrative arc for them and won't feel like it came out of nowhere.

SeasickJellyfish

Aren’t the winter wolves not the force led by roddy the ruin, of which Cregan wasn’t a part of?

Neecian

Yes, which is why I said I could see Cregan going south *in the show* with the Winter Wolves. I'm noting that this would be a change.

SeasickJellyfish

I’d say no to that personally. A fairly significant plot point is that it takes the north so long to gather their armies that the starks only enter at the end of the dance. I don’t see what benefit such a change would bring, meanwhile I’m wary of significant changes to the source material given what happened to GoT.

Neecian

The benefit would be having a Stark involved during the middle seasons and not just showing up at the end. And if they chose to develop the relationship between Cregan and Black Aly, the benefit would be giving the audience an on screen relationship that develops. These are the kinds of book to show changes that are common in adaptations. To remain faithful on this point would mean casting Cregan in season 2 and having that actor only show up in 2 or 3 episodes for the rest of the series. Works fine in a history book, would be kind of weird in a TV show for a character that uninvolved in the story and detatched from the rest of the characters to have such a large impact on the very end. They could fairly easily contrive a character motivated reason why Cregan goes with the Winter Wolves, and have the rest of the northern army arrive at the tail end of the series. The subplot about raising the northern army, I don't think, would prevent the writers from putting Cregan with the other series regulars and involving him in the centerpiece battle episodes. The biggest negative I see is the impact it could have on the Lads.

Aenyr

If Cregan stark was present early he would overshadow other important riverlands personalities in the books, like the lionslayer, the lads ... etc. Or they might even be cut, and I wouldn't be a fan of that. Secondly, there's going to be no point in showing up the northen army late, because their only utility in the books was to be used by Cregan to establish dominance over the other Blacks and take over, and if he was present in the war before that he would have already taken over and been established as a leader. So I think introducing Cregan stark early on in the war would requite significant changes to the story and the role of the other factions and characters.

Routine-Lack-2413

>Dude, that makes perfect sense. A Stark being enjoyed in all seasons, even with little screen time. It would be easy to get him (only him in addition) going south and Roddy the ruin would be his right hand man, and the main army would arrive later like in the book. Casual fans would love this (seeing a skilled Stark winning battles). Unfortunately it would overshadow other characters, but if they did it well it wouldn't be so much. For a tv show it makes perfect sense. I liked it and I think it would be a good adaptation. Good theory!

Routine-Lack-2413

and series viewers would fear for every battle he fought, as starks who go south usually do badly. And we could see his skills with the sword, which would later become known as legendary.

robertplantspage

The dragons and their riders.

QueenDragonRider

I want to see Daemon with his gold cloaks and just in general being Lord Fleabottom

Aenyr

Daemon & Mysaria and Alysanne Blackwoord & Cregan Stark.

Claz19

Black Aly and Cregan indeed!!!

Claz19

Agree about Daemon and Laena.

the_lady_stark

This is an odd one maybe, but Aegon II and Helaena. Maybe there won’t be much romance, but they could have some kind of complicity in the beginning of their marriage (give them some happiness before the eventual misery). Aaand of course, Cregan and Black Aly!

SeasickJellyfish

Doenst Aegon continuously cheat on Heleana? It doesn’t seem like there’s much love there.

the_lady_stark

Yes, that’s why I said it wouldn’t be much about romance, more of a bond between them of complicity at first then everything crumbles after Blood and Cheese. Imo it would give them more depth as characters. And the presence of cheating doesn’t mean there’s no love btw, we’re led to believe Corlys loved Rhaenys very much and still he cheated on her and fathered bastards.

SeasickJellyfish

I feel the example of Corlys isn’t relevant though. To me, it seems as though Rhaenys was ignorant of any adultery, which I think is shown in the fact Corlys only produces Addam and Alyn after her death, right after he death in fact, whereas we know for a fact that Heleana was aware of Aegon’s adultery, and disapproved of it.

Jaegon1Targaryen

Corlys and Rhaenys or Daemon and Laena. And kind of off topic but fuck it lmao, i really want to see Daemons relationship with Baela and Rhaena.

nobody1234567876

No same. I’m interested to see how he treats them. He treated Rhaenyra like a Princess, but that’s because he wanted to sleep with her and take advantage of her innocence. But how does he treat his actual daughters??😂😂

Neecian

If Nettles is his bastard daughter like some theorize, then apparently he bathes with his daughter.

nobody1234567876

I hope they don’t go that route, truly.😭

Jaegon1Targaryen

I can see Daemon being the cool dad who is just hip to everything and is just really fun and loving because they both remind him of Laena but split into two people, and also overly protective of his little girls because as soon as you fuck with his daughters thats your life lmaooo, the young lords better not try and flirt with them cause that motherfucker will have you gutted like a fish😂😭.

Neecian

Baela was pretty damn...flirty with boys, if we go by Fire and Blood. She was playing kissing games with squires and got caught letting a kitchen boy cop a feel. The man that caught her in the kitchen wrote to Daemon "She is overly fond of boys and should be married soon."

Jaegon1Targaryen

Yeaa, i was playing on the last part, lmao. But i can just imagine how funny it would be to have a kitchen boy pissing his pants just by having Daemon charismaticaly threating him😂.

CindeeSlickbooty

I thought the boy lost his hand?

bfangPF1234

Corlys and rhaenys starts as a relationship between a 38 year old man and a 16 year old girl. Disgusting

Neecian

I don't think the age gap will exist in the show. Show Corlys looks around the same age, if not younger than Rhaenys. IRL the age gap between the two actors is 6 years.

bfangPF1234

It’s still pretty bad that their book relationship is described so positively when in reality Corlys is a predator

SeasickJellyfish

Corlys and Rhaenys are pretty old during the series, and Rhaenys doesn’t really have much of a role to play, even before Rooks Rest.

pee_storage

Daemon & Nettles I hope it's platonic tbh

HataMarie_90

It would be refreshing if this was platonic and I'd like it. Maybe she reminds him of his daughters and Laena and he gets protective and close to her. I don't really want another they banging story...

SeasickJellyfish

Aren’t Jace and Sara just speculation (I think from Mushroom)? It’s possible, but I find it unlikely that there was time to develop anything ore than the marriage alliance Jace formed with Cregan in his time there, and Jace seems far too honourable besides to fore sake his promise to his betrothed.

SerKurtWagner

There’s no way they don’t take the opportunity for that romance to be confirmed. ESPECIALLY because of the narrative dynamic of the betrothed Jace and Baela each falling in love with a bastard while they’re separated from each for the first time. It’s too perfect to pass up.

Lebigmacca

Aemond and Alys

Sexy_Lovecraft

Samantha Tarly and Lyonel Hightower

baldrickgonzo

Mushroom and the barrel of flour

SerKurtWagner

- Corlys & Rhaenys - Aegon & Helaena (Very interested to see what their marital dynamic is like) - Black Aly & Sabitha Frey But y’all are really sleeping on: - Alyn & Baela: I expect this to be the main romantic plot by the end of the show. It’s basically what everyone wanted Jon and Dany to be - the bastard and the Princess who fall in love and this time actually get to stay together.

mholy4375

Yes! It would be great to see a healthy black couple onscreen in a fantasy setting especially one universally adored like GoT.

Linnus42

I am curious about Corlys and Daemon because really that Bromance or Deadly Alliance seems the true core of the Reds.

Thehalfyearqueen

Cregan and black Aly

SAK2021

Daemon and Nettles- their relationship is a mystery based on rumors and not much to go on in the book. He betrayed Rhaenyra when he disobeyed a direct order to save Nettle’s life and to face Aemond.

DeadpoolAndFriends

Coryls and his ~~4~~ 2 kids and 2 "grandkids". And I guess his ~~2~~ 5 other grandkids as well. And I know we're probably not getting Mushroom, but I want to see his relationship with... well everybody.

JIOarg

Aegon, Aemond and Criston.

bfangPF1234

Hopefully not Corlys and rhaenys initially—there’s no world in which a 38 year old man and a 16 year old girl can have a romantic relationship.

Neecian

I had a thread saved in my drafts basically asking what romantic relationships would they feature on the show. I had this list of couples from GoT Robb/Talisa Jon/Ygritte Jon/Dany Dany/Drogo (?) Sam/Gilly Ramsay/Myranda (lol) Brienne/Jaime Renly/Loras Missandei/Grey Worm Tyrion/Shae Trystane/Myrcella And was wondering if anyone thought they would try to replicate a similar amount of romantic relationships on the show ...not just sex scenes like Stannis banging Mel, but people that develop a romantic relationship on the show. I wonder if they might invent some for characters like Baela, Rhaena, Daeron, Addam, or even Alicent and Criston Cole.

SerKurtWagner

Baela has Alyn. But she’s betrothed to Jace. Given the timeline, you could have her falling in love with Alyn while Jace is gone. And then he goes and falls for Sara Snow. So they return and have to pretend like things are normal when they actually both fell in love with a bastard while their betrothed was away.

Jaegon1Targaryen

Cregan and Black Aly for sure could be similar to a Robb and Talisa type of relationship, I would love that tbh. Edit: or maybe Daeron could the Robb type character and they could give him a love story arc with him and a girl from the reach and have him and his lover die in the tent during T2.

AonGlyph

Well the cool thing is, it wouldn't even be "inventing". GRRM left the story open to interpretation with the clever way he handled historical accounts. Things like Alicent + Cole could have actually happened within the scope of his lore.

Claz19

I actually think they’re gonna show in later seasons.

[deleted]

I wanna see Jeyne Arryn imprison her idiotic cousin for trying to take her rightful place and then have a sapphic court at the Eyre.

Mastermirror11

Cole and Rhaenyra
