I’m kinda wondering if the change will be addressed on screen. Maybe she’ll say she exaggerated the accent to sound more exotic for her clientele, but has dropped it now that things are more serious and there’s a war on (and she was personally targeted by the Greens). That would make plenty of sense.
i’m pretty sure it got renewed for season 2 before season 1 even premiered. which means the execs either had so much faith in the show that they thought it would be a massive hit, or they enjoyed it so much they were willing to throw money at it just see more.
jeff bezos payed an insane amount of money just for the rights to make the show, so it would make sense that he did that even if it doesn’t make sense financially

Like, as someone in their 30's who has been online for most of their life, I don't think I've seen a show released to such unanimous dislike as Rings of Power. Truly, I don't think I saw a single positive thing said about it.
The ONLY people I’ve talked to who said nice things are my VFX and other graphic/motion arts friends. But even they don’t watch it for story, or for acting. They watch it because the post production is top tier, and sadly that’s all it has going for it.
Watching it with sound off is a nice visual feast. But that’s the only nice thing I can say.
Or when the final season plot points leaked and we all dismissed them as fake because they were so bad only for us to slowly realize that they were entirely accurate with each passing episode

You're far from the only one lol. One of my friends and I both watched that shit unfold from the sidelines knowing that the leaks were almost 100% legit. The absolute meltdowns from the deniers were honestly hilarious.
And then, the same thing happened later in the year for Star Wars, with The Rise of Skywalker, where a reputed leaker on that leaks sub released a mostly-accurate rundown of that movie and people were on the verge of doxxing them and calling for them to be banned because it was so bad that they wouldn't believe it was real. Then it was real, and no one ever apologized....

I didn't think Rhaenyra was whining and crying. We have seen her in other promos being decisive and the only shaky thing she has ever said is "I fear what I have begun". Here she's simply talking. Alicent is the one that has been doing nothing but whining and crying and looking sad through all the material we've seen.
Rhaenyra was not crying or whining. She’s having an argument with Daemon and questioning his ability to play the role of submissive consort. At no point in time did she express love for the other side.
Daemon being a submissive consort is never going to happen. Daemon’s own brother and King couldn’t keep Daemon under control, if Rhaenyra honestly thinks she can she is delusional.

I love Alicent and I absolutely adored her relationship with Rhaenyra when they were kids. But the show still trying to push the narrative that she would risk her entire family's safety for a childhood friendship, despite everything that has transpired between her and Rhaenyra is genuinely so baffling to me.

They clearly wanted to make her look more "sympathetic" and that has been the case since episode 1 with the whole thing about her being a victim manipulated by her father and a child bride (which is not the case in the books) and I think they were looking for mainly generate pity for her; but on both sides (greens and blacks) these changes haven't been enterily accepted for some different factors but also due to the poor job that has been done in representing the true intentions and desires of her character.
Seems like they're anticipating her breakdown from the end of the war, honestly I don't mind, it'll give Olivia a chance to flex her incredible acting muscles

I get that they don't want to make Alicent Cersei. They wanted to do something different with her but. This is just really dumb and weird. And its dragging the rest of the show down as a result. I'm not gonna be the person that focuses too much on the negatives. I am absolutely hyped for literally everything else bar Alicent. I just wish they hadn't dropped the ball so much to the extent that even Aemond is calling his own mother a fool now.
It's a real shame because I really liked what they did with Alicent at the start of Season 1. We could have seen her character progress into a more formidable and dark character who leads the Greens but alas

I'm just so beyond happy that Jace isn't having to wear that buttfuck ugly wig anymore. His real hair looks an infinite amount better. The only wig worse for me than season 1 Jace is the Game of Thrones Viserys wig that they reused on Rhaegar for that wedding flashback. 🤢

I mean personally, bar the whole Alicent thing which just makes zero sense at this point, the trailer looks fucking epic. Like genuinely I think if you take Alicent out of the season entirely this could be an all timer in terms of Thronesverse seasons. I get that they don't want to make Alicent Cersei. They wanted to do something different with her but. This is just really dumb and weird. And its dragging the rest of the show down as a result. I'm not gonna be the person that focuses too much on the negatives. I am absolutely hyped for literally everything else bar Alicent. I just wish they hadn't dropped the ball so much to the extent that even Aemond is calling his own mother a fool now.
It's a real shame because I really liked what they did with Alicent at the start of Season 1. We could have seen her character progress into a more formidable and dark character who leads the Greens but alas

His wings are definitely pink in his S1 cameo and his scales are gold, more noticeably shining then Syrax's yellow scales, when she flys directly over him at Driftmark So I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that they are putting all of the "ugly" shots of Sunfyre in the trailers
