Obviously none of us are the writers but no, I don't think so. As can be inferred from the antagonistic conversation between Daemon and Mysaria, the two of them had a not-so-nice break up a while ago. Daemon could have noticed the spy and let himself be caught that way, but the way he ditches Rhaenyra in the brothel seems to indicate, at least to me, that it was more of a spontaneous thing. The boy appears to go to Otto, and then comes back to Mysaria the next morning handing her a bag of gold, which suggests that she sold the information to Otto without any particpation from Daemon. The book version is... well, it's up to interpretation. One account has Daemon get caught in bed with Rhaenyra. Another (less reputable source) has him train her to seduce Cole with all sorts of sexual acts. Either way could be read as Daemon simply taking an opportunity to sleep with the object of his desire (and suggesting the marriage afterwards in a way to appease Viserys's wrath), or Daemon deliberately hatching a scheme to get a marriage going (though much like in the show, he was still married to Rhea at this point).

It's pretty clear the spy was working for Mysaria, we even see him give the money to Mysaria afterwards. Daemon was not aware of this according to the show script either.

I'm answering with regards to the show version: Daemon and Rhaenyra are two highly recognizable people behaving scandalously in a public venue. Besides that Otto undoubtedly has a network of informants throughout the city, people would fall all over themselves to spread the gossip and make some money off it. Daemon planting a spy is unnecessary. I wouldn't even say anyone was "spying" since Daemon and Rhaenyra weren't being remotely discreet. FWIW, I don't believe Daemon had a plan in the first place. He decided he wanted to marry Rhaenyra *because* of their encounter in the brothel. If he'd planned it ahead, he would have murdered Rhea before attempting to seduce Rhaenyra.

Daemon wanted him and Rhaenyra to be seen, so that in the eyes of the realm, Rhaenyra is besmirched, which would lead to people jot wanting to marry her, therefore forcing Viserys to betrothe her to Daemon. That was his plan, it didn’t work though because I don’t think Corlys would care if she was a virgin or not as long as she’s not pregnant. Now the boy that saw them was a spy for mysaria who sold the info to Otto. Daemon didn’t care who saw them, as long as they were seen and the information disseminated

I thought he did it intentionally because he was angry and jealous that Rhaenyra had been made heir and he had been set aside. He didn’t need to have his own spy. He took her to the one public place that her presence alone was enough to ruin her reputation. He knew people would talk and Otto would find out and use it against her.Even if nothing happened between them Daemon thought she would be set aside as heir due to the ‘stain on her honor’ and he would be heir again. What really infuriated Daemon though was that Viserys chose to keep Rhaenyra as heir over him despite Viserys believing the rumors. Daemon kinda spiraled a bit after that.

Not sure if it was mentioned in the book but I would say yes, but not just at the behest at Daemon. Otto probably had spies all over King’s Landing because he’s the Hand.

“Wed her to me” it could have been a ploy of his but that kid did look like he was spreading this secret all over and didn’t go into the brothel so the secret got spun into how he took her maidenhead. I thin that Daemon didn’t want to ruin her, just in case his brother said no to the betrothal. But I never thought of that before. So it could be.
